Cool, Digi and Tom!
I checked a certain relationship and, yep, those connections were there.
But here's a question for inquiring minds:
Is there validity to looking at someone's natal vertex exact semi-sextile their progressed Eros/Venus midpoint?
How could we define something like that? Semi-sextiles have always been potent in my natal as well as transits. I have not yet taken the time to research them in progressions.
Best, Amoroso

Hey Amoroso
My understanding is that both the vertex and midpoints are "passive" points which need or respond to "activation" by planetary energy.
However, I see that Tom posted about a vertex/midpoint activation, and my SO and I also had one: his progressed vertex on my sun/moon (far) mp - which I had originally discounted on the "meeting of two passive points" theory + anyway, his vertex received trines from my sun and moon. Tom's BML is on his sun/moon. Tom -- was it a sun/moon or a BML activation?

Lontra offering up her recent experience with the Vertex in synastry:
About a year and a half ago, I met a man online as part of larger chat group that had nothing to do with romance. For the first month or so I simply observed his writing and interaction style along with the other members of the community and decided that there was something I liked very much about both. Eventually. we exchanged private message conversations and, from the start, there was an acknowledgement of speaking to oneself. Natually then I was curious to explore his chart. To my great surprise. his moon not only conjuncts my moon (15.04, 18.51 Aries), but his venus also conjuncts my venus within minutes (19.55, 19.13 Libra). Additionally, this mutual opposition sits on his Asc at 19.59 Aries, conjucting my Jupiter at 15.04 Aries, sextiling my saturn at 16.44 Aquarius, and opposing my sun at 9.51 Libra. Truly, I have never seen a chart that tied so closely to mine, with beautiful cross play of Jupiter trined Mercury in both directions, and similarity of natal aspects like moon oppose venus and sun oppose jupiter.
As for the Vertex in both charts, my Sun sits directly on his (Vtx 8.27 Libra) and his Mars sits tightly on mine in Virgo. What makes this interesting is that, because my Asc is in Acquarius at 8.37, I had been sensitive to the fact that Jupiter was at around 8 of Libra when we met, since the Jupiter/Asc transit often promises meeting someone of importance in your life and the conjunction with my 7th house ruler Sun might signify a romantic contact. Anyway, with Vertex introducing this encounter in such a mutual fashion, I really sense the reluctance/ambivalence aspect of the connection in both directions. There is also a strong sixth sense on my part that there is something very "fated" about this connection, wherever we may choose to take it.
