If by hemorrage you mean internal bruising, I always apply Lavender undiluted as soon as possible and repeat several times a day if necessary. If my baby falls and bumps his head applying lavender immediately keeps it from bruising, usually. If its a really hard bump or it took me a little time to get it on him then the bruise will be green or yellow, showing the accelerated healing of the bruise. That's my "magic" oil.
Comphrey (knit bone) is wonderful for healing, it stimulates cell production. If you were in my care I would apply my Caley Cream (made with Calendula and Comphrey) with Lavender added or Caley Gold with Goldenseal if there's infection, then a Swedish bitters on top. The oil in the ointment protects from the alcohol base of the tincture. Otherwise it stings on open areas. These items are part of my 1st aid kit.
I'm glad you have a handle on it. Speedy recovery.

Juliet, I hope you're feeling better today!!! The image I got was not that the accidents were a portent of things to come in this next year, but that perhaps the energy shifting of this time disrupted your balance a bit, that's all... maybe things are going to be taking you into a distinctly different direction. Whatever the case may be, HAPPY SOLAR RETURN to you! {{{{juliet}}}}} Gem, thanks for your comments re this burgeoning new connection -- I saw him that night at the Latin Night social at his studio, and the connection was definitely there, & mutual. We'll see what happens, if anything. Starting a relationship with someone in your dance community is tricky enough, but when he's the owner & in the public eye... it would seem to me he would have to be pretty romantically motivated to cross the boundaries that are built into the scenario. The energy between us doesn't have a "short-term" feel to it, but instead has a neon sign flashing "this could be serious!!!". Funny how one can feel the difference between those energies right off. Saturn & Venus, indeed! I've heard many times about how Arg. Tango can sweep people away -- when I was first enchanted with learning it, my previous instructor warned me many times not to let it take me away from ballroom. But I never got very far with it -- I dug more deeply into my ballroom & salsa dancing & haven't done anything with AT since winter. I look forward to when I get into it, tho! Would love to travel to Argentina for some intensive workshops. Back on the Saturn-Neptune note, had another manifestation of the 11th-5th polarity this weekend -- my oldest son, who starts college this week, started working at the restaurant where I work on Saturdays. I introduced him to my colleagues there, and my status there immediately changed, especially among the team of young latin people who work there -- they started calling me "suegra", which is "mother-in-law" in spanish. And I could feel a different vibe of respect from the group. Saturn rules my 4th house, so I could feel how the flow of Saturn energy was activating my chart there. I felt much more responsible for my behaviour there, as an example & as a support for my son. And it enlivened my work experience, and how I connected with everyone on the team. Interesting, the many layers of this particular transit. 3HN - I know how frustrating it can be when you want him to call -- or rather, what him to *want* to call -- and he doesn't. I think you're right about Saturn -- I'm sure on the ASC & the Moon at the same time would feel rather alienating. Tough inner work, but *good* inner work. I love what Kim had to say about it. Be strong, girl... there's someone out there for you to connect with & grow with! Happy Labor Day to all you Americans. This chica intends to fill it with lots of Virgoan labor & elbow grease around the house! Samina

Thanks, Sami! Home clean?? This shifting of energy you're describing feels exactly right! It did not get me down emotionally at all, but has brought me some strange and not unpleasant detachment. The solar return moved my Sun from the 12th (very apt) to the ninth, Moon from 12 to 2, POF from 12 to IC. Ruler of the retrun is Mars in 10, gogogo! About the tango, it is big in Japan, did you guys know that?? I would not ever dare to dance it with someone, ever. Only if we were sexually intimate. And had been for ten years. I am not a prude. Lovely shift at your work, Sami. Aqua, yes, I mean internal bruising. I bruise very very easily, even more so since my pregnancies, and the bruise was there before I was back in my home. The accident took place twenty yards from my frontdoor. Would you know a remedy to structurally improve the strength of my vessels and veins?? My body does great work while sleeping, the leg looks wonderful in the morning, but fluid retention has been a problem for me the last years. There is only a Comphrey cosmetic cream (with Calendula) for the face in homeopathic remedies here, or tincture or tablets for internal use, but no ointment. I used Calendula spray on the open wounds, and they healed real quick. I'll buy some Lavendula oil tomorrow! Thanks! Juliet

Oh Juliet, what a whirlwind! I too feel the 'accident' portends a huge energy shift---something had to give. This will be such a NEW year for you, Juliet!
Are you feeling less pain now? Can you walk?
I just looked at your 2006 solar return! With Mars ruling both the Asc AND the 5th...and residing in the 10th you have all the makings of v. NEW creative projects splashing out into the public eye and being very much a part of your career! Not to mention new love affair! (that is noticed by the public--not hidden) Did you realize that the Eros/Psyche conjunction falls on you SR Venus in the 9th and Venus rules your 7th. That sounds like a bit of romantic travel that could result in a long term relationship to me!
And with Neptune in the 3rd, the 'accident' was certainly wrapped around an energy shift...and expiation and cleansing to prepare you for new experiences.
I alway use Arnica cream for bruises, but not on open wounds. Keep your leg elevated and stay off it! I know that visualizing it 'in perfect health and shape' will speed the recovery too.
Oh, and 3HN, your return does look like a strong indicator of partnership this year, with so much going on in the 7th house and Venus there exact. What house contains Pisces in your natal chart. That area of life will be of prime importance too.
Warm wishes to everyone, Kim

Samina: Felicidades on your new stature at work! Funny how Saturn can bring gifts, too - gifts of being taken more seriously or gaining more gravitas. Not a bad thing at all.
I guess it depends on the work one has already done. When tr Saturn conjuncted my MC, my professional reputation got better and I got more respect and more work. It was all good. But this tr Saturn on my Asc/Moon has shown me there is more work unfinished in my emotional life, despite the work I've put in. There are some steps unfinished and Saturn is going to make sure I do them!
Yes, Kim's suggestions were great. I spent some time looking up all the key needs of a Leo Moon/Asc. Yes, lots of love and attention needed - something my Virgo Sun sq Saturn has denied is valid - plus Chiron opp the Moon - yikes, talk about needy! But also there are many things I can do myself in the way of creative nourishment, writing, friends... I know a relationship cannot supply all.
I haven't given up on new guy though! I'm seeing him the weekend after he moves back to this area (10 days). And he sent me email today, signed off with xxoo, which he hasn't done in awhile. It was good confirmation that the work I did before he last called, and played out when we were on the phone, was on the right track. I'm trying to learn new skills in relating (Asc/Dsc) and in expressing my emotional needs (Moon) in a way that takes them seriously (Saturn) and therefore doesn't feel icky (unspoken, manipulative stuff when it's not out in the open) to the other person.
Anyway, we'll see how it goes. Again, I appreciate your encouragement!
3HN

Hey Juliet-Yes, I personally know the Argentine maestros who helped bring Tango to Japan! My other friends/instructors travel there to teach annually (world-class performers) and have the funniest stories to tell! The discipline of the dance-students in Japan is unparalleled I am told! It is a most frustrating and humbling style of dance to learn so if you are a perfectionist...well....Ugh....HOWEVER, the challenge is unlike any other!! I LOVE IT!! As I wrote before, it is the most difficult dance to learn. If you have not been trained to dance Argentine tango, you would have no clue of what movements you are being led to dance or how/where you should be stepping. Usually, a man will not ask a woman to dance Arg Tango unless she knows how...it isn't like a Salsa where you can be led and go with the flow. (I wish it was that easy!) Just a quick note on the intimacy part....as a modest woman, there are particular positions I place my hands and arms to maintain a proper distance if I wish...and if the man does not honor my desire for a less intimate stance (often they want to hug you in too close for my comfort-especially if I do not know them), I have been known to walk off the dance floor in the middle of a 3-min song. Now this is considered very poor etiquette yet when a partner is disrespectful of your 'intimate space', and continues to make attempts to close the space tight again after I blatantly tell them I am more comfortable in a more open position, well, everyone who is watching understands and will note WHICH guy it is who was left standing on the floor!! It doesn't happen too often ( rarely)....though seems to be most frequently found among pushy American men who have not learned to respect a lady's' wishes. So....the energy exchange and dance structure (Saturn) of the ARG Tango sometimes is not as visible (Neptune) as one would believe....the dance is only as intimate as you wish it to be...and this choice belongs to the lady who receives the invitation to dance. Many of the Ballroom instructors discourage learning ARG Tango because they do not like to lose the money they earn by teaching the multiple ballroom dances. They lose the students!! Ballroom tango is different than ARG Tango. Argentine Tango lures many students/dancers away who never return to Ballroom again!! Haha...it is a really interesting phenomenon actually. And the oddest thing is....no matter how great you are at the ballroom dances, it does not transfer to Arg Tango. The playing field is EVEN when you crossover to this style. Ground zero in fact. New dancers vs exp. dancers begin the same. Terribly frustrating for the exp. ballroom people....but once they get the hang of it, the spiritual connection is unlike any other and they are hooked!!! The structure and nuances are maddening and it takes quite a bit of time to learn it correctly! Fascinating dance if you like a challenge! Hey Sami-how cool that your son is working with you and that you have felt a further change with the transit! That is really neat!! 3HN....Remember your gifts and work on the parts of you which need polishing in the relating department. As you know, love and happiness begin with yourself....and once you gain more confidence, you will have less of a need to be passive/aggressive/manip. with the other person. Let him come to you...because you are WORTH IT. Relax and see what the future brings...looks like something good for your solar year so work on yourself and let the love come from within!! Everything else will fall into place at the proper time and not before...finding new structures for yourself and relating skills is a great start!! Saturn will REWARD you for the hard work you do to improve your relating abilities!! (PS-I have Sun sq Saturn exact so I understand the invalidating thing....tough to let go of but worth it!) Hugs- GemStar

Gem, everything you say about Arg. Tango is exactly what I've heard & what my impression is thus far. I've also heard people say "it's not a dance, it's a lifestyle", and it does appear to be quite consuming. I'm very attracted to it, that's for sure. Maybe it's something the next man in my life & I can explore together...! I would so love that. Yes, Juliet, I made a bit of progress at home today. But didn't wrap things up... as it usually is with tidying up messes, things tend to get worse before they get better. But my little dance studio is all in order, with a nice new sitting area to chat with guests. One must prioritize, after all. LOL I don't know about everyone else, but I still really feel the Sat-Nep vibe. It has really felt to haves stirred up this whole feeling of readiness for a very serious relationship -- such a strong feeling of something *impending* is a good way to put it -- and I was thinking that it must've been the addition of the Sat-Ven conjunction last week. But today I had a gander at my Venus Return and discovered that my VR Juno is in my 7th house at 18 Leo, the magical Sat-Nep number! It's conjunct Vesta at 21 Leo, and both are flanked by Mars & Saturn. So there we go... a nice little astrological ah-ha moment. The VR 7th house appears to span almost two full signs, it's so huge, so I've had Sun, Merc, Venus, Mars, Saturn, Juno, and Vesta all marching through there in recent weeks. No *wonder*!!! LOL Venus will be on my 7th-house VR Vertex this Friday, as well, with Saturn still on my VR Juno. And tr. Jupiter will conjunct my *natal* Juno in a few weeks. I really *feel* at a turning point of sorts. As I'm cleaning & organizing my house, it's with such a strong sense that I'm readying things for a whole new vibe of soon inviting someone into my personal space more frequently -- that's something I have done very *in*frequently for quite a number of years, and I'm looking forward to sharing my daily life more with someone. Anyway, this whole Sat-Nep opposition has felt so powerful for me on so many levels. I thought the *eclipses* would be like a match that set things off, but for me thus far it's this recent opposition! Work, my book, the promise of new romance, my son starting college & making numerous new wonderful transitions in his life, working even harder toward my dance objectives, wonderful new & challenging social groups (a feeling that I found my "peeps", as my youngest would say)... I really give thanks for this transit!!! Sami

Hi Gemsstar I have been away a couple of days and lost the threads a bit and read them later when they have been greatly added to Re the opp I have found several people around my wider circle seem to be stopping bad habits...... smoking...... drugs........ and not in a desperate way but in a considered way with ease which has been uncharactistic How permanent this is will be interesting to see Like maybe Sat is giving the Nep the discipline it needs I was somewhat nervous of this aspect in regard to drug users but it does seems to be helpful unlike the way the Sat?Nep aspects are treated in the "cook books" but it has a while to go.......

Alrighty Samina! Keep us posted on the new love-match!! Yes Ana....glad you have checked in with some observations! The energies have been amazing actually. Two thumbs up for our own Lunariviera who has stopped smoking and Nigel out there who has given up the 'drink' which has been a major haunt for him...both men making great strides toward better health and habits!! BRAVO! I have received a few phone calls in the past day or so from guys who just needed to talk with me to become grounded. ME? Hahaha....and because I feel the same stresses, the focus on someone else is a relief of sorts!! Reality for many is harsh and though maybe a precursor to life changes...a good thing! When I feel tangled with whatever it is I am sensing.....(and I know what it is actually...but have to be patient to hear an outcome)...I give more 'outwardly'. I am more conscious of connecting and offering calmness and light in a way which I feel is positive. Here is a story: Yesterday, I went to the special Bread Bakery (a rarity around here...mostly grocery bakeries....too generic for my taste!) to pick up my special order loaves and found the owner there on his own. He seemed a bit 'off" so I chatted it up (OOo, so Gemmy!!) and asked about HIM and HIS BUSINESS. I simply inquired about the expansion he went through 12 months ago...different aspects of higher overhead vs incoming business etc. He was so thrilled I took an interest (that anyone cared!) he promptly gave me a tour of the bakery facilities, apologizing for his floured hair (hee-hee..uh hello, you ARE a baker yes??) and I oood and ahhhd!! I told him I was happy for his increased fortune and praised his delicious breads! The guy was simply beaming and rung up my goods at the wholesale price instead of retail and requested that I speak with only him when I order again!! Naturally, I asked him in my sly way (wanted to know his Sun-sign) about how old he was and when he said, I asked him his BDay...a June baby (Cancer) and gave him my Woo-Hoo June Baby cheer!! The guy probably thinks I am a bit wild but hey, a little personality coming out never killed anyone!! So as I left, he said-"Thanks, you made my day and I really liked talking with you-You are fun!!" He had a huge smile on his face and a lighter skip in his step!! Voila. So see...reminding someone of their reality regarding how far they have come maybe was a light for him. A light via a customer (me) who appreciated his hard work and efforts (Saturn)...which is always a perk for any of us who feel a bit foggy (Nep) in our daily lives at times!! Hugs- GemStar

Hello Everyone.....it has been a few weeks since we looked here and I think it is important to observe the Saturn-Neptune opposition transit as it happens. There will be two more passes next year...and because it is soooooo slow-moving, maybe not so obvious as the other more dramatic transits!! Today I am posting a link to a Boston astrologer who writes an interesting blog. I recently began to read blogs and have weeded through many in order to follow a few who seem to be worthwhile to read!! Her take on certain observations was right on target and is a helpful reminder of the direction which this 'smoke and mirrors' type of effect is possibly found and how we experience this Saturn-Neptune transit in areas of commonality. As many of you here in the US have seen in the news, more stories are being published with regards to hidden actions becoming publically known....reality meets previous deceptions. Government,(though nothing new) is being questioned more than ever here....corporate higher-ups are feeling the heat......people's exhuberance for spending money which is really credit (loaned money) and is beginning to catch up (mounted debt) to many....more bankruptcies-as people have reality enter their financial lives....reality setting in with limitations....pre-washed spinach......things of this nature. Each of us must be aware of our own realisms vs dreaminess or illusions......are you facing your obligations head on? Or, are you keeping your eyes closed, and hoping things will take care of themselves with little or no effort on your part? Have you given it much thought? Personally, the pain of being unprepared is much worse than the hurt of facing reality. So....and this is not to say each person will have pain or whatevers during this transit.....this is merely a check-up for yourself to examine areas which we may have sloughed under a rug and forgotten......and now need to address before it addresses us!! Make sense? Anyway....just a little something to think about.....whether it is your finances, your marriage or relationship, your problem child, your car which needs fixing but you hope it will chug along on faith, a leaky roof or even a job improvement/change.....look to see where these two planets are hanging out in your chart!! The advantage of studying Astrology is that it can serve as gentle reminders if we are willing to listen to it's whispers.. Simply make sure you are keeping your eyes and ears open!! Have a great day all!! theastrologypage.blogspot.com/2006/09/cut-back-and-cut-down-deception-of_2065.htmlHugs- GemStar

Thanks, Gemstar. I'm still finding much of the Saturn-Neptune stuff focusing on the bigger picture rather than the personal, and even less helpful, on the negative aspects of this opposition and its transits. It seems all about how Neptune is about disillusionment and delusions, and Saturn is about obligations and facing hard reality.
What that sounds like to me is Neptune seen from Saturn's eyes! And Saturn seen from Neptune's eyes! What about the larger view, holding both in our hands together at the same time, and using the gifts of each? I do think there are pitfalls for each planet, but there are also gifts. I can find good resources about the gifts of each (I love Bil Tierney's books on these planets), but I'm not finding much current stuff on this transiting opposition and how we can use it in our personal lives - written in a way that focuses on the treasure in it. I think of it as if I'm going on a trip somewhere foreign to me - I read about the things to be wary of, sure, so I don't have trouble, but if that's all I focused on I wouldn't have a very fun time of it! What about the things to be gained, too?
Personally, I have this Saturn-Neptune on my Asc/Moon - Desc/Chiron. It's really giving me a lot of ambivalence about the area of relationships (I have no relationship in my life to work this out in, so it's more the potentials for relationships - the dates, and all the resonances of that back into my past relationships or thwarted relationships and the echoes forward). I don't have the answers for this. I think the Saturn is doing some good stuff for me on the personal level, though - Neptune has been hanging around there on my Desc for awhile now, but with Saturn coming in an opposing it brought things to a head on the disappointing relationships. So my focus is back on myself and shoring up my care for myself (Asc/Moon). At least it's something I can do. With Neptune over there on the Dsc, it feels out of my hands, that slippery Neptune! But I don't want to say romance and the anything-is-possible sense Neptune brings are necessarily negative things, either. They can loosen up old, rigid expectations, too.
Just some thoughts and ramblings tonight. And now, to bed! 3HN

This is something I came across recently (during the Saturn-Neptune opposition) that struck me as fitting the opposition. It's from John Welwood's book, "Journey of the Heart": Joining Heaven and Earth Awakens the Heart. This is easy to say, but in practice quite difficult to do. Moving back and forth between togetherness and separateness, inspiration and practicality, is rarely smooth and easy. Indeed, the transition between these two states is often jarring and painful. Yet is is important to let ourselves feel this particular tension. In connecting us with the basic rawness at the core of our nature, it reminds us of what it means to be human. Thus all the rough edges we encounter in trying to bring together the opposites--freedom and commitment, vision and groundedness, letting go and taking hold, romance and reality, individuality and communion--are ways in which we forge our humanity and awaken our heart.
According to the ancient Chinese view, the genuine human being--one whose heart is awake to reality--is born in this intersection between heaven and earth. The upright human posture literally portrays the truth of this. Standing on the earth and raising our head upward exposes our heart to the world. Four-legged animals carefully protect the vulnerable soft front of the body. But as human beings we walk around with our heart exposed, allowing the world and other people to enter, touch, and move us. Only in this tenderness and openness to the whole of reality do we start to become fully human. Only in exposing the heart do we find a path. Maybe it's because the Saturn-Neptune opposition is hitting a big relationship-oriented place on my chart (Moon/Asc and Des/Chiron) that this resonated with me particularly. But also since Saturn is in Leo, the idea of the heart and the path of the heart seems to fit. And most of those opposites he mentions - freedom and commitment, vision and groundedness, letting go and taking hold, romance and reality - sound like Neptune and Saturn to me. Does this resonate with anyone else? 3rdhousenorth

Considering the date, I thought perhaps to bump this thread. The last conjunction of Saturn to Neptune is imminent. It will be exact on the June 25th at 21 Leo 47, with Neptune retrograde. Any new thoughts on the subject?
