Ok I had a quick look at last year's VR chart for reference, particularly for NN stuff. I must be going crazy as last year was quite a fateful year. Sun is conjunct Venus to the exact minute, and Mercury is three degrees away, Rx - the NN is conjunct MC. Not long after this return an old old flame showed up in my life. Very karmic, very intense, compulsive - and I wrote a whole lot of very inspired, eros-but-not-erotic poetry which has since been published. that NN is conjunct my natal Eros, too. i23.photobucket.com/albums/b383/primamateria/venusreturn05.gif Note that the jupiter opposite sun/mercury is repeating this year, but in the opposite houses...considering that last year I wrote poetry for the first time since the year I last saw the above mentioned boyfriend, I'm wondering now what it will mean for my new writing?! amazed, pm

Wow, these returns are bringing some wonderful insights! The interpretations are great! I am going to focus on my career - and let Venus help out with my household budget (she's close to that 2nd house cusp) and taking care of my girls. This is a wonderful summation of your 10th natal house coming to the VR Ascendant (yes?) I would also be alert to other forms of personal, socially significant relationships like business partnerships. That Uranus rising is about sudden, unexpected change, rebellion and breaking out of old habit patterns that are no longer authentic. Died your hair a new color recently? Something Zany's coming your way! What do you think the Grand Trine in Fire between Venus, Saturn and MC is about? Kim

;D thanks Kim, thanks for the feedback - its kinda fun doing these returns... I had a look at my mars return chart from January last year. Oh boy. Yes, its about time I did something about my tenth house! bringing that Venus energy to the ASC is probably just what is needed, the MC is a bit lofty, and I suffer from career vertigo lol. An awful awful experience at my Saturn return has really turned me off in many ways. you asked; What do you think the Grand Trine in Fire between Venus, Saturn and MC is about? interesting question... well, I think 'action/initiation' because its fire; ego identity/1st house, and the ways in which the Venus principle of love/pleasure/beauty fits with that; personal creativity/risk/5th house and the positive Saturn principles of regulation/manifestation/; and the MC's role as pole star, pointing the way to...:? the MC in this case is in the degree of my Natal Saggo Mars so it points (shoots?) back in the direction of creative energy, the transformative power of Venus and the role of Saturn in Leo as manifestor of heart's desires. I think I'll have to wait for Uranus-style revelation on that one! speaking of URanus I haven't changed the colour of my hair, that would be really unlike me! I think I'm going to buy a lottery ticket though I read yesterday that fortuna in the Natal indicates the areas one should focus on in order to enrich oneself both financially and in soul - is this the case in the VR return (or any return)? also, what is the consensus on using return charts as prediction tools? I read that progressing the moon can give an indicator of events as aspects are made. blessings, pm

Hey, prima -- I've enjoyed your sharings; great job at delineation. And I'm glad to hear that your book of poetry was published. I remember when I first came on the site here, reading that someone was writing fabulous erotic material, and then I lost track of who it was... it was you! Luv to hear you got it out into the world. Curious -- did you use your own name or a pseudonym? That Moon/Jupiter conjunction straddling the 8th/9th house fence speaks to me of appetite, of "wanting more" out of life, a very strong desire nature. Opposing Merc in the 3rd so tightly, and warmed so nicely by the Sun... more writing? communicating more of your inner depths & perhaps the personal meaning that you attribute to them? I mean, that lunar conjunct is quite central to the dynamics in the whole VR chart... Connected to Saturn in the 5th and its potential creative productivity; to Neptune in the 12th, such vast inspiration; and involved in a Grand Water Trine with Mars, Uranus, and the ASC... you write so beautifully and may be able to really capture and articulate the depth of *feeling* that seems to be highlighted so keenly in both your natal as well as MR charts. Could you post your natal chart here for comparison? sam

Hi Sam, you have a great memory! yes, it could have been my poetry mentioned on here last year... strangely enough when I wrote those poems I didn't think they were 'erotic' - only intimate and certainly not sexual. I was shocked when they were knocked back (by the editor who requested that I writer for his anthology) because they were too erotic. Too erotic! Anyway, some of my 'alchemy' poems went into the university's annual book 'the piping shrike' under my real name - I am hoping that it will be released soon. Apparently there is an online version but I haven't seen it yet. I'm putting my 'three portions of eros' suite on my website, which I hope to have live by April Fools Day ;D I love this that you wrote: That Moon/Jupiter conjunction straddling the 8th/9th house fence speaks to me of appetite, of "wanting more" out of life, a very strong desire nature.Yes! That makes it so clear. Hopefully its pull toward 3rd house Merc/Sun will mean I communicate and achieve more I'm hoping that Saturn will do a good job of regulating Neptune in 12 - I've been lied to a lot. ooh, look at Saturn opposite Chiron (square my natal sun at 10 tau). Yep. here's my natal for comparison: i23.photobucket.com/albums/b383/primamateria/primamaterianatal.gif

Just a quick note to mention that this recent focus on returns is really fascinating!! However, my confidence is nowhere near being able to offer much in the way of knowledge in this area. Some day I will look forward to adding in more than just my humble experiences!! There is so much to learn and I am thankful for everyone's efforts in interpreting their returns...adding their thoughts to others...it is a great way to understand these intrinsic energies which help us define our paths!! Keep it coming!! Hugs- GemStar

;DThese are all great comments, and it's important to have the natal up now as reference. Yes, the Fortuna can be a place of 'joy'...of the 'Bliss' that Dr. Joseph Campbell was always urging us to follow. In the return, it can indicate a new area to explore that bliss...but always link it back to the Natal. No return, or progression or horary is going to 'give' something that is not promised in the nativity! Kim

I believe that I now can tell what significant relationship my venus return for 2005 was about. I met a woman and she introduced me into a world of spirits. I met her online and she feels very much like a mother and girlfriend into one to me. I have noticed that her ascendant is very near my antiscia ascendant. I have never met her IRL yet, but from a far she has helped me open up my chakras with help from her spirits www.sacredcenters.com/chakras.html. Yes I know this sounds very much unlike me as a ex Jehovahs Witness! And now I am going through a kundalini process en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kundalini. HereĀ“s my chart and notice my north node in the 9th house indeed very near the galactic center. And my seventh house ruler conjuncting my vertex in the 6th house. Any comments are most welcome!

Hi Jade, Thanks for the charts and questions. I'm just a little confused by your statement In doing my VR, when I tried it for my birth place (with the same time as relocation) Venus did not come out exact of course but the angles are nearly identical as my Progressed chart for where I live now.Ummm...generally, progressed charts are not relocated....they are done for the birthplace no matter where you live. Realize the progressions are purely symbolic (a day for a year, a solar degree for a year, ect) and have nothing to do with where you are physically on the planet. Are you saying your relocated VR has the same angles as your progressed chart? Okay, I think that's what you are saying...The first chart is a relocated VR? Yiks...hang on. I'm going to run the VR and prog myself so I can sort it out.... Back soon! Kim

Okay, here is the Venus Return. The theme of Leo rising is certainly there though the birth place return doesn't reflect the exact 6 degrees of the progressed chart. I wouldn't worry about that too much...you have a lot of FIRE energy, a lot of Leo shining through and that is reiterated in the VR (relocated or not). I am unfortunately out of 'forum time' this morning but will come back to this to go through some things! Warmly, Kim

Darlin' Jade, I've just had a very quick look at your charts and checked the book I've been using for returns for a bit of guidance... this is what it has to say about Venus in the ninth... "this is a time of restless searching for someone outside your normal sphere. You are looking for people who can enhance your understanding and give you a new perspectives on the world. You are likely to be attracted to those who are very different from you in some way perhaps coming from a different culture or social group. you will enjoy studying at this time and are likely to meet new people this way.. or you could fall in love with a teacher, especially one from another country! During the period of this return, you will be seeking a meeting of minds rather than physical intimacy and are going to feel a much greater need for space and freedom than usual"of course this makes sense only if you believe that the venus return is all about relationships... there are definitely some merits to this 'cook-book' interpretation though If I come up with something else I'll post it! looks like a good one though pm

Hi Jade, Yes, your natal third house comes to the FIRST house importance in the Venus Return because that it where we find Leo (the VR Asc). No, you aren't nuts...the clock times are an hour off, sidereal times are identical (just a matter of using + 6 or +5 for the time zone (DST). This Venus to me is very much a MC/10th house affair. 90% in the 10th and 10% still in the 9th. On the cusp like this, think of being in a house and a party is going on. You are in one room but your energy and awareness are not. You are leaving that room and focusing on what's going on in the next one, even if you aren't there yet. It's very strong conjunct the MC and bodes well for any kind of business that brings pleasure, comfort, artistic inspiration, beauty and solace. IN Taurus, it's anything from body work to making chocolate croissants, from boosted bank accounts to yummy sex! Who can say more about this VR return? I'll be back! Warmly, Kim

Hello all. I have been lurking on and off on this site and decided to post today as I have found out about Venus Returns. I drew one up for next year (the return is on New Year's Day) and I'm wondering if someone can help me look at this. Forgive if I have overstepped some protocol/board etiquette. Here's my natal, if that helps:

I don't think you oversteped any bounderies.. I find it interesting to see you were born in Miami (and moved to New York) I was born in New York, however migrated to Miami where I spent about 20 or more years of my life, and I currently live in Sweden (for the past 7 and a half years)... Its kind of interesting seeing people born in places I'm familer with.
I can only guess that your previous two Venus returns are probably more exciting than this one due to the fact that Uranus must have been located on your Mercury at those times.. But this last one seems to have Neptune featuring very strongly on your natal Sun.. it must be awfully sensitive/confusing..
Venus on the 7th house seems to sugest that thoughts are of "the other" as a partnership. Now I feel guilty for not looking at other charts.. so I'll take a look at some other threads, hopefully someone else or yourself can keep the ball rolling in this one.. for example you can tell me what you think this Venus return promises to deliver..
Venus in the 7th in a return is a nice, strong, social Venus. Venus on Any of the Angles makes for an interesting Venus return.
take care,
svenskasfinx

My live in boyfriend of 3+ years broke up with me late last year. So this year has been a great deal about healing from that and slowly getting back in the game. I'm hoping a relationship is on the way . . . I recently met the first person who's piqued my interest since then, but it's too soon to tell.
Also, I'm a writer and run a small theater co. so I look to Venus for what's happening creatively. I spent most of this year producing and when I wasn't doing that, I wrote a new play. I feel a bit unconfident artistically as well.
I also have Venus in my 7th house for my 2007 solar return, so I am crossing my fingers on the love front.
