Mercury is Rx now and I don’t even have time to write about it! Fortunately, my colleague Susan Miller does. Here are some things she’s aptly said about this event: Mercury is a planet which governs all transportation and communication issues. Mercury is not an emotional planet, but rather a highly objective, truth-seeking one. It rules intelligence, education and truth...
What happens when Mercury retrogrades? You miss appointments, your computer equipment crashes, checks get lost, you find the car you just purchased during Mercury retrograde is a lemon. (Or, you hate your haircut, the lamp you bought shorts out, your sister hates her birthday gift.) There will be countless delays, cancellations and postponements--but know these will benefit you in the long run. Don't fight them, although your frustration level and feeling of restlessness will be hard to cope with at times…
In matters of the heart, if your boyfriend or girlfriend breaks up with you or says something hurtful, take a wait-and-see attitude. Since Mercury rules speech, they may not mean what you think they are saying now. Let them have some space, and wait to see if they mean in October what they said in September…
Why would the Universe give us Mercury retrograde? Because to move forward it is sometimes necessary to backtrack and reconfigure our paths in life. It is important to reconsider, repair, reflect, and reconnect. Mercury forces us to slow down and fix what's broken, and in so doing, rethink things. It also gives us time to get to projects we have put on the back-burner.www.astrologyzone.com/forecasts/mercury.htmlWith Mercury retrograde in Pisces, take time to mediate more, reflect on your sense of meaning, purpose and mystical connection to the universe. Pause to consider the spirituality of everything you do. What house is the transit retrograding through? It is that area of life that requires the most reflection. Let us know how you experience the trickster this month! Warmly, Kim

Well Kim, I've (possibly because I was coming down with a sore throat on Tuesday) found myself working on THE BOOK as there is nothing else I can be forced to do in the home now.. That means it was the New Moon, and I'm almost done with getting the entire layout finished- since I started on Tuesday, am I safe from the dreaded Mercury retrograde or will I find myself on the bitter end of errors and mistakes? Hope everyone else is well.. Svenskasfinx:)

Okay, 'god' was the default 'title' for over 500 posts! Bravo for your contributions! if it's too much to have 'Shaman' under your name--as opposed to 'senior member' etc...I'll change it. It's not a 'race' of course, but such contribution and time put into this community wants to be recognized...I'm open to ideas for titles...I mean, 'administrator' for me??? What’s that??? Currently they are 0-15 posts New member 15-25 Junior member 25-50 full member 50-500 senior member 500 - up Shaman! lol... open to suggestions! Kim

Sven, that's great news on the lay out! Very exciting ! Mercury Rx probably means 'going back to a previous project'...which you are doing. Hope you feel alright. How's the throat? Kim

Hello!
this mercury is Rx in my tenth house, but will soon be heading back into ninth as it passes 23 pisces, MC.
I suppose that is a pretty clear metaphor for returning to study!?
the last two days have been really good. I hate to say it but Mercury Rx suits me really well - never seem to have probs with the usual stuff.
I made a great deal of progress with my website yesterday (including finding the 'symbol' that I'd been searching for to sum up what I mean to achieve - a dragonfly) which put me on a high, then the petrol station attendant GAVE me all my money back when I paid him - free fuel (and I'd been working on surrendering that I'd have to make $20 stretch to last through to next week) ... and then had a last minute invitation to go out... the evening developed as a series of 'chance' encounters culminating with invitations to the VIP party for the opening of the Festival of Arts here - very elegant outdoors thing, starry night, so so 'glam'. The sort of thing that used to 'happen' in my life all the time....I felt very 'blessed'.
Yes, meditation is a good way to spend Mercury Rx, as guide of souls Mercury shows us the way to go - and I for one would rather not be 'shown' via one of his 'tricks'!
joy! pm

oh! forgot about this - yesterday the electrician was finally sent over by my landlord to fix the problem that I've had with my lights (the whole front of the house!) for over a year - there's definitely a tenth house theme - there is now light in the front of my house - the house as metaphor for self, it has concerned me for ages that I have been unable to 'shine' out into the world. pm

"Shaman" is much preferable to "God!" What a hoot. I am perfectly happy with senior member, but it is interesting that the trickster did that at this week in my life!

Very interesting! I like Shaman....There are other's headed that way (to the 500 mark) and I think I'll keep it on unless there are objections! The contributions are what makes this forum live! Kim

A few comments about Merc rx. First, natally, I have it rx in gemin. I am not exactly sure what it means anymore although ordinarily, I don't find myself in an unusual nuber of misunderstandins with people so I don't think it's connected to that natally.
As for transiting rx merc, sometimes I feel it more than at other times so I suppose it is depends on the aspects it makes to the natal.
From the latest merc rx experience something interesting did happen. I just woke up on Friday and a short time later I snapped at my mom all day, out of the blue. While I was doing it, I couldn't understand where it came from. I decided to check the transits and whaddya know? Rx merc was exactly conj my moon, sitting on my T-square, squaring sun/mars/venus and rx merc exactly and opposing Ur.
This is one time I really feel it.

Butterfly,
I was just going to ask, as I read, "Where's Mars? Where's Moon?!"
That snapping may have been a opening for you to reflect on your relationship with 'mother', the actual woman, the goddess, the earth, you as woman and your inner feminine. The feelings of irritation may still be a springboard for your own self-understanding.
A Pisces Moon is a huge container of emotions. Mercury Rx said, 'express them, especially any stored from the past.' They (emotions) may have been pouring out so fast that they took the form of barbs and arrows.
Can you see how his might be?
Warmly, Kim

Totally kim. I just never saw merc rx work so explicitly. I really think that in order to be felt (the rx transit) it should make some aspects (maybe even hard ones) to the natal. I don't really buy the traditional interpretations of rx mercury causing havoc because it means that every time the whole world should come to a halt and create a huge mess. It has to "hit" personally. I've had many rx merc transits and nothing went wrong and I've had times where it wasn't rx and everything did go wrong. Just my opinion.

Mercury retrograde right on my natal Venus at the end of the 4th house. No wonder my love life is on a roller coaster right now with my boyfriend (his Merc retro is in the 5th house). First he says he wants me to go to Hawaii with him and then he starts having second thoughts. Then we talk about it and he blurts out that he wants to be with me forever and make our relationship permanent. I told him I feel the same way about him and everything felt fine for few days and now we're in this "communication funk" (the only way I can describe it) where no matter what kind of plans we make, we get thwarted at every turn. I'm getting "celestially" battered by too many strong transits right now (Uranus transiting Sun & Node, Pluto transiting Moon/Eros, Saturn squaring Saturn) that this little Merc retrograde is hitting me a lot harder than it did the last time around. I'm trying to take a step back, take a deep breath and accept all these transformations and changes taking place in my life. It's tough. Please tell me this Merc transit is going to be over soon!
