Dear ScorpyMoon,
Thanks for this link. I have printed it off and will contemplate it in regards to that vision.
But what came to mind as I was perusing the article, is that no matter how ridiculous or far-fetched trying to build a relationship with C appears to be--and it's actually pretty ludicrous on the face of it, astrologically there seem to be some building blocks. One is the image connecting Saturn to Neptune via their rings (i.e. what they have in common; there is an extremely strong Saturn and Chiron synastry AND transiting Pallas is conjunct Uranus in the composite and Pluto in the progressed composite charts. There is absolutely no logical reason for us to try to get together at this point, the blocks to relationship seem so insurmountable, but we managed to meet for a two-hour lunch several weeks ago. He and I both have Mars/Pallas conjunctions natally, too, so, if there is a will...
Thanks again for thinking of me!
Blessings, Amoroso

I thought I'd bring this one up, because my mother wrote to me the other day concerning her second Saturn return coming at the time of the Solar Eclipses of September this year.
I wanted to put this up in case she should make her way over here and take a look. I know that years of always hearing bad things about ANYTHING makes an impression even in the most positive of us, so I once again would like to keep up the positive thoughts concerning a Saturn.
I should think of taking a good look at the chart for her coming Saturn return and posting it in the Returns section just to really take a good look at things.
I've always known people who sort of ditched the things we call duty for "fun" and they have always had the hardest time with their Saturn requirments, as though Saturn itself did shove their noses down to the grindstone to make them work even harder for that break they took at the expense of "duty".
I think my mother has learned this lesson early on, as her first Saturn return didn't feel too good at the time, and Saturn pretty much doesn't care much for those escapes we make into our other worlds.. especially when duty calls. Today I would have to say, she endures alot of hardship, but its purposeful and meaningful.. and that she connects well with her "duties". Perhaps she will see that the changes that time has given her has in turn made her a better person than what she started off as, we could only strive to be so lucky as this, as I too feel, as glamourless as it is, it does fulfill Saturns urges, and her being a Capricorn ASC, it only makes it doubly important, to be comfortable in your own skin.. I'm still working on it myself. I'm sure we all are.
Best wishes to everyone!

Hello everyone.
I must reply to Svenskasfinx. I, like your mom, has a second Saturn return this coming harvest time, 2007. My Saturn is at 29 Leo.
I wonder about all the meanings of duty, life, cosmic harmonies and what it means to be on the side of justice and peace -- (that's my Neptunian side coming out there).
The second Saturn return says: OK, you've made a contribution, for what it is worth. Now, be authentic. Create a structure to focus your authentic self.
Alice Bailey said: "Saturn stands aside to let Mercury spread the light of the Soul -- intuitive and illuminating -- upon the situation, to interpret for us, through our own illumined minds, the significance of events, and to relate the old and the new, the past and the future, through the light of the present....One of the mysteries of initiation...is tied up with the relationship between Leo and Aquarius."
That's confirms the fundamental nature of the experience we are having as women dealing with Saturn (in Leo) and Neptune (in Aquarius) at the tattered end of the patriarchy, perhaps.
And some of us dealing with a second Saturn return, too!
Thanks for a great discussion.

hi everyone, Kim and Svenska...
I haven't read through all the posts on this thread due to time constraints (doesn't everything take ages with a newborn baby>??) but am riveted as I have strong Saturn contacts with Ivy's father - including Saturn Venus conjunction (exact) (his Saturn - my Venus in ARies) opposite his Sun and my Saturn conjunct his NN (a few degrees)...(not going into other aspects)...
we have a fairly strange arrangement - not being in a relationship at all but being strongly tied to each other through the family we've 'accidently' made/brought together. Its been quite a frightening experience, to say the least - and far from over.
Kim in one of the posts you mention that Saturn requires us to work hard for gold... I think about this a lot (and not just because of my Solar return Saturn conjunct Asc or Saturn in Leo or for progressed Saturn and Venus on MC by progression) - at my last Alchemy intensive we 'made gold out of lead' - or rather started a process which requires time and 'many repititions'.. at the end of the course I was given a tincture of spirit of gold in spirit of lead (dilute in alcohol) and having taken more than four years to distill) - this is taken as a heart remedy, to heal depression.
one of the things that have stayed with me from that intensive course was that the wisdom that gold is already there in the lead - and that the work of alchemy 'breaks open' the lead to reveal the imminent gold.
perhaps the fear that is often experienced with Saturn contacts (perhaps more so with Saturn-Venus?) is that breaking open??
there is more to be said on this subject - I'll be pondering this again until I come back!
joy! pm

Dweller of the Threshold Saturn represents Earthly, Practical Wisdom. As a solar Cappie I think I have descent dose of this. Saturn in feared because reality can hurt at times. Saturn's philosophy is 'you have to cruel to be kind'. This is true without limitation or discipline society would fall apart into chaos. The Leo transit is rapidly approaching my Leo Moon ouch it hurts. But it is necessary for further personal growth when we have powerful transits of Saturn. My Father has a Capricorn ascendant conjunct my Sun in Cap. He is a Solar Libran with a Cancerian Moon. He rose out of a working class family into an international businessman. For him life has been climbing a mountain. His gets lots of jealously and resentment from coworkers, friends and even family. He says he pitys them becuase they wont concentrate on their own kniting and problems in their own lives. He says "You get what you put into life, I have worked damn hard and some wnat the high life, but you cant have it unless your willing to put the time and effort. If your not ambitious and want a quiet family life be statisfied with what you have got than wasting time resenting people who work hard...
Yes it sounds harsh but this is Saturn at work. Saturn can be worked with like jewel I believe if we are willing to accept there are limitations in life and be grateful for what we have in life.
