Dear All,
I did as Kim suggested and looked back over the past month to see if there was a theme to the areas of my natal that are highlighted by today's eclipse, including (Gemstar!) the AC-DC axis. My AC is also conjunct my Vesta and Neptune.
Yes. There has been a huge theme of "clearing out," making space psychically, which has resulted in making time to do things that are necessary for my well-being and health as well as prioritizing what must be done for the family and work.
I came to an enormous decision about what I can and can not do should the relationship with C reappear, based not on marriage vows or whether or not I could hurt my husband and the kids, but based on what is best for me. The result may be the same, but the motivation is different. This is HUGE for me.
And adult students from my past are suddenly reappearing--checking in, wanting to reestablish contact. Definitely all this on the axis described above! Plus, I am a Draconic sun-sign Venus, which I think makes all these first-seventh house issues even more urgent to me.
Kim, in the progressed composite with C, the eclipse takes place right on the conjunction of Psyche/Pars Fortunae/North Node in the first house. The psychic tie takes on even more first house importance! It is also semi-sextile the Pluto/Uranus conjunction in 12th house Virgo and Neptune in 2nd Scorpio with aspects into personal planets. It is Quincunx Ceres/Chiron in 6th Pisces.
In the progressed chart with my husband it is Quincunx Venus/Sun in the 8th Taurus. We have had major adjustments in joint finances this month, which has had the effect of a stimulating the committed relationship, both good and not so good. The eclipse is also taking place on first house Libra Neptune. I am not sure how that is playing out, other than we have had a few uncomfortable conversations about what I need from him. (This is an on-going challenge in the marriage, which I won't bore you all with, but which does point to both my AC/DC activation as well as the Neptune in first of the composite.)
I looked at the composite/progressed composites with my children and saw clear evidence of these activations also. If I get a chance I'll also report those here.
So I'd say that the progressed charts are affected by the lunar eclipse if, as Kim said above, points are activated.
Blessings, Amoroso

My day has been pretty uneventful thus far (aside from the incessant rain). leading me to believe that I was making more of all the eclipse activity in my charts than I should have...but I did stumble upon something that suggests that the effects of the eclipse could be in place for many months: "Lunations and Eclipses The positions of new moons and full moons are critical points for the entire lunar month (the period of time from one new moon to the next), roughly a 29.5 day period. A lunation that "hits your chart" can indicate a month of great changes. These lunations are discussed in the Current Transits pages. A solar eclipse is a special kind of new moon where the Moon blocks out the light of the Sun. A lunar eclipse is a special full moon where the Moon hides in the Earth's shadow for a time. Both kinds of eclipses are like "super lunations" in effect, triggering extremely transformative energies where they impact you. Eclipse points are usually "critical" for longer periods as well, normally 6 to 12 months, though eclipse points can sometimes lie dormant for years and suddenly be kicked back into action by a passing planet. It's as though the zodiac has a "memory" and can keep track of important events like this. Eclipse points are discussed in the Current Transits and Eclipse pages." www2.bitstream.net/~bunlion/bpi/CritDeg.htmlHas anyone found this to be true for them?!...has your chart(s) ever been "hit" by an eclipse where marked changes occured later on (events that you later attributed to the lunation)

Hi there I have noticed that this solar eclipse is near my vertex +Pluto in my sixth house. And Pluto rules my seventh house. Most interesting indeed. Does a planet near the vertex make it even stronger?? I am INDEED confused . What is the strongest? A singleton/several singletons, www.astrologyclub.org/articles/singletons/intro/singleton_intro.htmthe ruler of the ascendant, the planet near an angel or the planet near the vertex?? Hmmm.... and no new romance on the way, despite my fascinating venus return . According to this NASA site regarding eclipses, this lunar eclipse is only ´partial´ sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/OH/image1/Fig06-PLE2005.GIFAnd not visible in Europe, Africa, and large bits of South America. So how do this fact impact it´s significance?
Is this partial lunar eclipse in 24 Libra (according to Kim) or in 24 Aries (according to "JANET'S PLANETS NEWSLETTER)"?? I have my ascendant in 0:59 Taurus, and my descendant in 0:59 Scorpio (empty seventh house). With Uranus (which rules my Aquarius sun in eleventh) at 27 Libra opposing my ascendant. My Sun/Moon-midpoint is at 19 Aries in my 12th house. As always... Thankful for any enlightenment =D! (By the way, I met SvenskaSfinx this Saturday IRL and we had such a nice time that we both forgot the time ;D!)

Dear All, the lunar eclipse was beautiful from my backyard (here in South Australia)... hope everyone is going well with their hopes for this lunar cycle. Joy! PM

Yes PM! It was stunning. I watched it from my bedroom skylight. It lit up the night like a second sun.
Sorry about the confusion re position. Because the partial annular eclipse was lunar, it occurred at the opposition (full moon)--sun at 24 Libra and Moon at 24 Aries. Both points are activated, though I always see the Moon (being faster) as touching the sun (being slower).
I can't begin to address all these questions today--I'll answer them as I can but anyone else incline, please chime in.
It's great to see everyone’s curiosity up regarding eclipses. Perhaps you can do some research and let us all know what you discover!

Dear SM,
My heart goes out to you. What a simply horrible experience. I think you have done a most amazing job of putting perspective on this nasty business, but I hope you allow yourself sometime to be very angry and walk constructively through that path. You have a right to be angry, no matter how much understanding you have of your mother's passive-aggressive nature.
It sounds like a very difficult living situation for you. The bird's nest is a wonderful symbol of renewel and hope for you. And your dream was pretty telling.
I have met several people who are having profound grieving experiences with this lunar eclipse, myself included. I am grieving my father's passing two years ago and several other things that caught me by surprise.
But what is really odd is that in the past two weeks there's been a surge of students and colleagues from my past who have contacted me, wanting to resume connection in the form of lessons, classes or just communications. It has been quite remarkable, actually. I kept looking for some kind of activation by the lunar eclipse of my south node at 8 Gemini, but couldn't find a connection until I saw that on October 17, the day of the eclipse, both Ceres and Venus were transiting my North Node exact.
It has me wondering, does the eclipse simply activate everything to a higher level? What, astrologically, would contribute to this unusual surge of people from my professional past and grad school (which took place a thousand years ago...!) wanting to resume contact?
Interesting. Feel better soon,
Blessings, Amoroso

dear Scorpymoon, such sad news about your pet chickens - I'm not sure if this helps make sense of it or not but this also happened to a friend of mine during the eclipse earlier in the year, but she lost all her chickens, ducks, turkeys - every last one - seemingly senseless and even contra-survival slaughter on the part of the fox...at the time it made me think about the symbolism on the moon tarot trump - the dog (tamed) and the wolf (wild), of which family the fox belongs, and about the birds themselves, all earthbound and domesticated. Hope you heal whole, Prima ps. I have Saturn opp Moon too, and your comment on eating disorders struch a chord with me.

I've been asking my friends about their experiences with the eclipse ... here in California, it's mostly a sense of being very tired and depressed -- like "a disturbance in the (Aries) force" All the references to grief in the above threads are very poignant for me ... my husband, Jerry, was killed in a car accident Sept. 15, 2004 ... Since then, I've been trying to keep my head above water (not easy for a triple Pisces), but events keep bumping into me, sending me under again ... If anyone has read my plaintive surgery (torn rotator cuff) threads, it might make me sound less wimpy to explain that I'm not so much afraid of the pain as of being immobilized for 6 weeks ... without my husband, I am pretty much alone here and would have to rely on neighbors and "the kindness of strangers" to get me to physical therapy three times a week (the surgeon said I wouldn't be able to drive myself because I'll be on heavy pain meds for a month or more -- yuk!) ... And you can just imagine how my Capricorn ascendant feels about being dependent ... Back to the grief factor, on the day of the eclipse I got a phone message from my husband's boss, asking me to come up with the wording for a memorial plaque ... the LAST thing I wanted to do was dive into the emotions again and sum up his personality in 25-words-or-less ... but I felt I had to do it for Jerry's sake, and now I'm glad I did ... About eclipses in general, it seems to me they have a way of binding ppl together by the "shared experience" ... my husband and I were almost the same age, and we both experienced an eclipse in utero ... I always felt it made us more sympatico ... Thanks for listening ... J

Dear Jamma,
Such loss. I am so very sorry. And still so recent, too. The year anniversary of his accident corresponded to the month before the eclipse, so that plus your health issue must have you feeling like a mountain slide as engulfed you. Scorpy Moon,
You wrote: "can I ask, do you have any planets or asteroids on or close to 12 degrees or 27 degrees of any sign? If yes, there is correlation with your experiences in the actual eclipse chart (including asteroids"
Well, yes--quite a few planets and asteroids right at or within i degree of 27 degrees and 12 degrees. Interesting!

Jamma, you said:

That's really lovely.
Thank you! Kim

Hi, Ive just found this board & have really enjoyed reading the stuff about the most recent eclipses. Its been a big journey for me too. I separated last year with my husb. after 18 year marriage. Ive dived more deeply than ever before & worked with emotional healing+++ He had left the country , & was searching for himself in India, but cut short his trip & returned to Aus on 5/10 (2days after solar eclipse in Lib.) My asc. Libra. he Aries Sun. So much pain with separation, yet when he arrived back I totally embraced that he would be here for healing children's relationship with him. I felt no pain or angst only total compassion. After Lunar eclipse in Aries (where he has sun, moon &mars) & it fell in my 7 House, we went for a psychic reading together at my request. Drove for 6.5 hours in car, raining torrential wind & wild drive together for the first time since separation. Psychic said I had brought code in my DNA(far out I know!)to heal all pain & patterns in family lineage, & I felt thats exactly what happened after this eclipse(s) Now I have no animosity towards him (although a year ago, I would have screamed hysterically if you had told me that!!) whatsoever only, deep peace in my heart that the healing has begun!!

Hello Isabella,
Welcome to the forum!
That's fascinating--the timing of the eclipse coinciding with so much compassion and healing.
Wonderful to hear about!
Warmly, Kim PS I've just written a novel that has a component of 'healing elements' hidden in the DNA of a family line! Wow--and I thought I imagined it all!

As I have found with new moons/full moons and eclipses, it's impossible for me to say how I feel the affect until a while later. I wish I could say for sure what a new or full moon will affect me as on a certain day but I can't. As for the lunar Eclipse, I felt very strongly as if it was the end of a really good time in my life. It was as if I went from really REALLY happy to back to reality. I blamed the lack of sunshine and bad weather that had appeared. But appart from feeling down I started to make stupid mistakes. A few times I made bad disicions that afterwards I realized and was surprised that I made them. The first I was driving my campervan uphill and as I came to a part of the road where they made a speed bump and one side of the road/traffic had to wait. So I though it must be ok for me because I am going uphill so there was a car coming the other way but I continued and then we both cam to a halt in the middle of the speedbump - this where I did something out of character and I got out of my van to confront the other driver - I told him that he should give way to oncoming traffic, then he pointed out that there are stop signs at my side and I should have pulled in and I then realized he was correct and was ashamed. I appologised and got in my van and reversed back. The next day or so I freaked out because someone with a trolley was using the basket only isle in the supermarket, when I started to make a fuss I was to;d that I was wrong and hadn't checked the signs - arghhhhh!!!!! stupid mistakes that haven't stopped, I have concluded that this lunar eclipse is doing this and it will pass (I hope ) Nige..

Did anyone else experience a sudden change from everything going right to many things going wrong?
From 'this is the life' to 'where has the summer gone'?

Interesting that one of her incidents had similar elements to yours, she ended up in a fight with a neighbour about a car. She later realised she was in the wrong and had caused the whole drama over something that hadn't even happened... your post reminded me of how she is feeling, like she is making lots of stupid mistakes. I hope things get better for all of us! I also hope that it doesn't last that long because it was a partial eclipse! There is a new moon in scorpio in about 1 hour 25 mins and is at 9.43 degrees. this doesn't make any really strong contacts to me but I did notice that it does make very strong contacts (almost exact trine) to svenskasfinx sun (where is she nowadays?)! and also not quite so strong contacts to her venus moon and mars. The next full moon on the 16th of Nov is at 23.45 scorpio/taurus and this does make very strong square contacts to my sun/mercury conjunction. The full moon after this (in Sag) is trine my sun/mercury 23.48, so... interesting... Nige
