Thank you AriesMoon,
I'm wondering about this re-activation of your Reiki interest. The Eclipse tomorrow is semi-sextile your Sedna/antivertex, inconjunct your vertex (the ancients referred to both the 30 and 150 degree aspects as 'inconjunct' and gave them weight). Pluto, of course, has activated both Sedna and vertex all last year and continues to be in orb 2008.
Everyone might take note of what planets or points Pluto's been 'heating up' as again, this eclipse tomorrow revisits it.
With Sedna on your natal Mars for quite some time, your desire to take 'practical action' towards goals is getting a sustained buzz! Fantastic!
Do let us know how this progresses., and yes, thank you. Post what you feel is relevant!
Warmly, Kim

Thanks very much for this Kim, I hadn't spotted the inconjunct aspects to vertex/Sedna from the eclipse. I'm taking a special interest in this eclipse and the solar one earlier in the month as they're so close to my prenatal ones, within 1 degree. Nor had I seen the trine from Pluto to the Vertex, I can't think how I missed that! Probably preoccupied with it moving into the 8th! Now I think of it, it's as if obstacles are gradually being cleared out of the way, and I'm getting a clearer sense of my life purpose.
Mars in Taurus, particularly in the 12th, has meant that "practical action" felt for years more like sustained hard work, and sometimes like wading through thick mud. There were no goals, it was as if I just had to do more and more of the same. That's passing, and has been for about 2 years, and I'm beginning to get much more of a sense of Mars knowing what it wants. I think of Sedna as living in very deep, crystal clear waters, cold and sharp, so perhaps she helps to clarify and crystallise the role and the purpose of the planet she touches and to emphasise the sign qualities. That seems to be the case with the transit to my Mars.
It's interesting you use the word "buzz" - I've felt like Reiki has been "buzzing" in my hands for a few months, as if it's telling me "use it".

A quick add-on, on Reiki. I've just looked up asteroid Reiki - it sits at 4 Taurus 08, in my 12th, so Pluto in Capricorn is trining it from 0 Capricorn. I was attuned to Reiki in June 2003 - when transiting Pluto was in exact trine to my natal Moon. And yes, a female Reiki Master (Moon), who then moved away. I hadn't seen her for four years, then met her a few weeks ago. There are no coincidences, only synchronicities!
I've also found, back to Sedna, that I have asteroid Podalerios at 20 Taurus 37, right next to Mars at 20 Taurus 40. Plus Pallas at 23 Taurus 40. So Sedna is conjunct all of them by transit. Podalerios is, as I understand it, about the healing of invisible wounds, the healing of the soul. All of this seems very relevant!

I've just noticed the date when I last posted on this - 20 February 08. Something momentous happened to me later that day - came face to face, unexpectedly, with one of the loves of my life. A love that was never going to be. And every time I've logged on the forum, there the date sat, frozen in time. And I've let it sit there because I wanted to preserve that day for ever. But I can't, I have to accept that beautiful and special as it was, it happened for a reason, and now it's gone. So I'm taking the date away by updating the thread.
The relevance to Sedna? Well - her connection to hands and fingers for a start (Sedna had all her fingers cut off by her father as she clung to his boat in a storm, and her fingers became all the mammals of the sea, according to Inuit folklore). I'm looking at my hands as I type, and they're chapped, and dry, and with cuts on them. Like they've been in water for ever. I haven't looked after them, like I haven't wanted them to be beautiful. And yet I've bought a beautiful ring recently because it mesmerised me, and others are drawn to it and now I'm wearing it all the time. So I'll care for my hands now, and moisturise and heal them. And let people see how beautiful they can be.
Sedna is "a reminder of the nourishing gifts that are to be found deep in the dark, cold places that we most fear" (Michael Babcock). What are those places? To me - loneliness, and yet intimacy has scared me more. Hence clinging to a fantasy love. It's now time to explore the deep. Moving so slowly through the heavens, Sedna is still conjunct my Mars, and will be for some years, so her gifts will stay with me for some time to come.

Ariesmoon,
Your post gave me goosebumps. I can feel you letting go of something that is gone and that allows you to move forward into something that is waiting in the wings. Your analogy to the hands of Sedna is very beautiful--I feel mesmerized by the ring too, just hearing you describe it. Thank you for posting this!
Love and appreciation, Kim

Thank you too Kim, it's something I needed to write. Letting go of this love is very tough, which just proves that it IS love. If it wasn't, there would be no pain. There's a deep fear of a void, if I let go of it completely - maybe that's the "dark cold place" I need to go to.
As for the ring, it's unlike anything I've ever bought - a cluster of sparkling crystal beads in clear glass, purple, jade, blue and yellow. Like something which would spill out of a treasure chest under the sea in a child's book. If I go deep enough, maybe I'll find the treasure!
