Aphrodite, thanks. Those are astute comments on Pan, particularly his link to instinctual nature and his lack issues with the body. No guilt, no vice, no shame! Pan is a wild god and he brings us back to our roots, in every sense of the word! Kim

I can see this Pan stuff so much in son Sam who is the one with Sat on the Asc and Pan sq it in Gemini MC He is so Panish but tempered by the Sat which makes him doubt his abilities and thank heavens gives him some caution I think telling him about his Pan MC might amuse him but I will be careful about how I talk about the physical risks side of it as I do not want to revive the stunt man ambition At 26 he is getting too old to start that as a career but surfs regularly At playgroup which he left at age 2 the leader told me she was so pleased he was moving as his antics on the bars and slides gave her panic attacks but he seemed to know what he was doing.....

Hi Kim, you wrote: "That Pan on Draconic Moon is interesting and seems to me a strong contributor to the sensuality you are experiencing in this synastry, DD. Also the link to the South Lunar Node." I can`t believe that I failed to notice, that we have this combination in connection to the Nodes twice (forgot for a moment what the Draconic really is, I guess). But yes, I definitely feel the sensuality. "I get the feeling he is there to 'remind' you that you have a body!" I couldn`t have said it better. It exactly feels like this. He`s so instinctual and in tune with his sexuality, that I`m actually reminded that I have a body, too. And that this isn`t always a bad thing. DD

I recently have been spending time at a friend's house and her huge bearlike partner seems to always pick a fight with me if I speak so I got his dates not time and he turned out to have Eris on his North Node - he does seem to use a hammer when a feather would do the trick But I also noticed we had Pan on each other's Mars Interesting contact but not in this situation............... Led me to look up another man who I have enormous fun with doing nothing at all altho we both love free form dancing a lot Found he had Pan rising in Taurus cj Saturn and my Pan/Saturn is right on his Sun Not sure what Pan does with Saturn which can be hedonistic Make it a bit dark maybe

Thanks for the emphemis. I get a Pan return this year Looked over a few charts of close friends, daughters. One has Pan conjunct Gemini ascendant. speaks with ease and softness and primal like or can be One is conjunct Aries MC Primal Mine is conjunct POF in Aries. I like the idea of smell and Pan, earth. I love the earthy smells. asteroids are fun.

I just looked up Pan in my chart:
6'44" Aries in the 9th Opposite Pluto 6'37" in Libra in the 3rd (YIKES!) Trine Neptune/Conjunction in Sag in the 4th/5th Cusp Sextile Ceres in Aquarius in the 6th Trine ASC in Leo
Wow that Pluto Opp and those Fire Trines seem intense. I also have it conjunct Anteros in Aries. And my Chiron is 11 degrees away . . . all in the 9th.
I have a hard time understanding the 9th house. I know it's about long-distance travel/higher education . . . two things I love but am unable to afford so I hardly ever see 9th house stuff in my life. I've also seen it interpreted as the house of the higher self.

Hello Kim and All I looked at Pan in my natal chart - at 8* 52' Leo, in conjunction with my Sun (my ruler) (10* 24' Leo). Not so exact conjunction but I think it really works. I can't enough emphasize how much I love forests! I feel myself extremely well there. Generally, my love for nature is enormous. And yes, I have pretty sharp instincts, I can't say my body is robust, but I have great endurance. Regarding seducing - I don't know what to say - probably I could be a great seducer (Leo with Scorpio asc... Mars and Venus in Virgo...) but somehow I gave up that, maybe to guard girls from me. Regarding smells, yes, I used to smell everything, my mother wondered why I smell all meals before eating, bread... Predrag --------- Kim wrote: Pan gives the body robust strength, added libido and sharp instinct. He is raw and vital and knows natures ways. He is a seducer of the innocent, and the knowledgeable as well. He is one hell of a romp, metaphorical or otherwise. Does that give you a bigger picture? (My natal Pan is exactly conjunct my Mars at 8 Capricorn.) Can anyone with Pan conjunct an angel or personal planet comment here? How do you feel this asteroid expresses?

I have Pan conj my mercury in 2nd i taurus opp neptune..do i think dirty? You betcha and am usually the one who brings the tone of a conversation down but in a humourous way (trines jupiter) i hope.
Am very sensitive to smell too and a good one will lift my mood, a bad one will make me gag. When my partners away i always take his clothing to bed so i can smell him (he smells divine). Funny cos that was kinda one of the things i didn't like about my ex but i cant get enough of my new beau's. I love the smell of the outdoors too and sniff my cats when they come in (used to sniff my mum when i was little too) - very taurean.
Another thing in this day and age (and am probably bringing the tone down now) is bodily hair - though i shave legs & pits i just cant be doing with having brazilian style waxes and love my '70's afro' as i like to call it. There was a tv prog on recently called 'F*** Off, I'm a Hairy Woman' where this comedienne was trying to get a cat walk show going where all the models had to grow all their bodily hair and the number who refused was astounding. Love your bush i say.
Is that Pan enough?

I have Pan in the 9H Cancer. I am very shy individual and I'm in a damper sometimes since it's inconjunt (quincunx) to Saturn (in Sagg). It's also opposed to my 3H Neptune in Cappy, trined to 2H Pluto in Scorpio, squared the ASC which happens to be in Libra and last but not least, conjunct (tight!) to my MH. You wanna know what else has an even tighter conjunction to my MH and that also is conjunct Pan? Asteroid 999004 Astrologically, it has been said to stand for intense emotions, passionate creativity, capacity to inspire, to uplift, to stimulate, art, histrionics, dramatics, to control and manipulate, sexuality, orgasmic pleasure, dedication, thrill-seeking, sensitivity, vibrancy, vividness, colorfulness, ecstasy, enthusiasm.-BlueorchidsThis sounds alright to me!

I didn't think I resonated with Pan at all after seeing He's at 2 deg. Gemini in my 12th. Then I realized He's part of a grand square opp. Jupiter in 6th, sq. MC-Sun/Mn midpoint and Pluto on the IC. Good gravy, I think he's very much involved in my hands on healing work. Before working on a client, a co-worker recently stated that "so and so stinks today!". She had to spray the room he had been in. I told her I was used to all kinds of smells (Venus in Taurus also!) He didn't smell to me. LOL. I have endured much in that arena....hairy bodies, some smelling like they just got done working on a car, dirty feet, etc. Pan to the rescue! I supposed he helps me to persevere. There is such as thing as anti-bacterial soap!! Flower

Cat,
Sounds like 999004 gives your Pan a boost! Check your declinations also!

How do I check for declinations?

Let's say you're running your charts on Astrodienst. After you bring up the chart, in the upper left it will have "View the additional tables (PDF)". Click on that and it will give you the specifics one of which will be declinations (there is a column for that with the listing of declinations). Look to see if any of your asteroids or planets are at the same declination which means they were either parallel (both North or South) or contra-parallel (one North and one South) of the ecliptic at your birth. This makes an additional connection to two bodies that may not others wise show up on the aspectarian grid. If two planets are parallel and conjunct for example, the connection is even more powerful as this means there was an eclipse involving these bodies at your birth. For example, I have Sun, POF, Medusa, Sappho, Mercury all conjunct and parallel (North of the ecliptic) You might want to do a quick study of declinations as well as there is a bit more than I've explained here....how the ecliptic is involved, etc. But the easiest thing is that it connects two bodies that you otherwise would not notice as resonating to each other. Hope this helps a bit.

Oh, and you can most certainly use this in synastry as well. Makes it a bit more interesting as to why we're caught up with who we're caught up with!!
