Please help me understand Midpoints better

Salutations to whoever reads this!
I am looking for help in understanding midpoints(at this time), especially my own . In a nutshell, so to speak, I want to understand myself better so that I can help and understand others better.(as a scorpio I believe I do this naturally but everyone needs a little help at one time or another, right?) I realize that midpoints are mathematical points in a chart,but what do they mean with aspect to a planet or some other point? I am understanding aspects better,but if someone would help me understand midpoints with aspects it would help me to help to others better, I believe.

Welcome to the forum. There is a basic thread on Midpoints to get you started. It gives information on how to work them out, the near and far points and some examples of what they might mean.

I bumped it so it's just one above this thread, but here is the link:

Maybe start with the midpoint that interests you most, such as one that you are having a transit to. Work out all your midpoints so you get to know them, list where you have a natal planet or progressed planet within 1 degree of orb and also list any transit conjunctions or oppositions (there are always two midpoints, a near and a far so conjunct and opp are the same)

Make that list up and then you could post one that jumps out as significant and we can discuss it.

Anyone else wanting to learn more about midpoints, this is the way to go! Post a midpoint here that you want to talk about!

OK I'll add to this one - Venus/Mars at 0 Cancer.

The principle of love and desire combined - what I love (Venus) and how I go out and get it (Mars). Both in fixed signs in my natal chart, but combined, they become Cardinal Water, nurturing but ambitious Cancer, and at the degree of the summer solstice, when the Sun is highest in the sky, its heat and light are at their strongest, and when the Sun's relationship with Mother Earth is at its most fertile. That makes me look at them in a whole new way!

In the last 2 or 3 years, Pluto has been opposing this midpoint from late Sagittarius/early Capricorn. And there's no doubt that my capacity for love - and the passion with which I've fallen in love - have deepened and strengthened in that time. I don't say it wasn't painful - it was, intensely, on occasions as if my skin had been stripped away and everyone could see my heart beating. But how authentic that nature feels to me now.
