Should progressed charts be calculated for the natal location or relocated? Does it make a difference if the method used is secondary progression or solar arc - forward or reverse? What if you are progressing the solar return chart or an event? Some people go to a new location for their solar return and then head straight home. That creates three potential locations to consider!
Considering that aspects to the angles are so important in progressed charts, I hope there is a definite answer to this one and it isn't check both ways. There are so many different charts, methods and things to check. There always seems to be something new to add to list. It is overwhelming! My hat is off to the professionals that can pull it all together, but I can't keep it all straight. HELP!

Great questions. We've got a really good Progressions thread here somewhere and I will see if I can find it. Short answers for now are: 1. Progress the chart to your natal birth place. 2. Every kind of progression (including Draconic) is informative. Start with secondary progressions and expand out from there ONCE you get a feel for those. 3. Don't worry about progressing the return chart. That's like putting honey in tomato soup. Both good, but not so good together. 4. Same goes for event charts. We don't generally need to progress these or horary charts. 5. You can progress composite charts (make a composite of the two progressed charts) Very valuable! I'll go look for that progressions thread--it was from 2006 I think! More soon, Kim 6

1. Progress the chart to your natal birth place. ~ Check. 2. Every kind of progression (including Draconic) is informative. Start with secondary progressions and expand out from there ONCE you get a feel for those. ~ Check. 3. Don't worry about progressing the return chart. That's like putting honey in tomato soup. Both good, but not so good together. ~ I never have, but always read about how useful it is. Never have the time for it! 4. Same goes for event charts. We don't generally need to progress these or horary charts. ~ I confess that I progressed the first meeting chart with D. It was a real eye-opener! It confirmed the subtle changes that I feel between us; changes that feel like the pebble that launches the avalanche. That is what got me looking at other charts this weekend. We move around so much that the chart count was getting ridiculous. Too many locations to check. It was like navigating a mine field! 5. You can progress composite charts (make a composite of the two progressed charts) Very valuable! ~ I have been doing that when I have time. There is never enough time to do a thorough job.
Thanks so much for the help.
