Ya know, I didn't really think much of this upcoming eclipse because I didn't think it was contacting anything in my chart, but I realized today that it will conjunct my natal Chiron in 6th (9 aries), near Mercury (11 aries) and the DC (12 aries)!
The Chiron thing is interesting because of all those Chiron arcs I am experiencing, Chiron=Moon last year, Chiron=Pluto in January, and coming this summer, Chiron=Sun.
Kim, would this eclipse on my natal Chiron act as a trigger for the Chiron=Pluto & the Chiron=Sun arcs? I'm not sure if it would, because I'm not experiencing any arcs TO natal Chiron, but Chiron is arcing to natal planets. I don't know, this is a little confusing because maybe I'm thinking about it too literally. What are your thoughts?
Thanks!
Chrissy
p. s. I love you guys, too! I'm glad you all are just as interested in arcs as I am, I do find them so fascinating. And I *LOVE* ABBA!

Jade, I'm so honored that you selected my charts to practice your amazing astrological wizardry with...honestly, I'm so humbled!!!...the best part about it is, I'm learning more and more about some of the rather complex aspects of astrology that I wouldn't have touched otherwise...I'm starting to finally see some patterns, which for the longest time were elusive to me...I don't yet have as firm a grasp as you all...but I'm getting there and this forum is such a blessing!!! Astrology is so delicious...I love how layered and seemingly endless it is...there's also limitless potential for discovery and my interest in this field only increases the more I dig deeper... Thank you all for being so receptive and informative and for sharing your stories and experiences...such an invaluable tool for learning and growth!!! *the violins begin to swell* What great fun!!!

Jade, you've made my head absolutely *swim* today! LOL Amazing, the nuances you've pulled out of luna's charts. An inspiration. Really. There's always so much more to see...
Has anybody looked at dwads & decanates with respect to the eclipse? I've held off looking at those things, but actually, a few days before the eclipse, on the 25th, there are a bunch of planets hitting 18 degrees all over the place, which triggers both my natal chiron & vertex, and I was thinking of looking at the dwads & decanates to see if I could anticipate the "flavor" of that event, as well as of the eclipse.
I'll have to do some googling to find some guidance on this.

Hey Samina-
After reading your post, I was wondering what the significance of multiple planets hitting 18 degrees all over the place means in relation to the solar eclipse at 8 degrees Aries. Would you mind explaining further...I guess I wondered why 18 degrees would be significant (in spite of them triggering your vertex and chiron)...that is waaaaay past 8 degrees. I am perplexed!!
Thanks- Hugs- GemStar

Hi All, Haven't given much attention to the Solar eclipse (just now recovering from the lunar!) ... but this is such an interesting thread that I had to take a quick gander ... My Progressed Mars is at 8 Aries in Prog 1st, opposite Prog Neptune, 8 Libra in 7th ... referring these back to the natal axis puts 8 Aries in my third ... So does this work similarly to the Eclipse-on-Ascendant example? i.e., does the eclipse happening in my Prog 1st house elevate my Natal 3rd house matters to 1st house prominence? Special Note to Miss Jade, Yod-Diva:When placing the Prog Mars/Eclipse degree of 8 Aries into my natal it forms a Yod, inconjunct the sextile of Chiron at 8 Scorp and Psyche at 9 Virgo ... adding Prog Neptune at the Chiron/Psyche midpoint, it makes a kite (I think) ... All this makes my head hurt ... Any insights sincerely will be sincerely welcomed ... Blessings and positive Martian energy to all on the upcoming Eclipse-inaugrated Aries era ... J P.S. This is a reconstruction of a msg I "posted" earlier today but which seems to have been gobbled up by cyberspace ... if the first one shows up, sorry for the repetition ...

Hey Gem! Sorry... I'm sorta mixing apples & oranges. My chiron & vertex sit at 18 degrees (pisces & aries, respectively), and today the moon, venus, neptune, mars, and jupiter are all hitting 18 degrees, which seems to me to set off a pleasnt bomb of energy in my chart, just before the eclipse hits. What I meant to say was that I was first thinking about the significance of that degree being hit so resolutely in my chart, which made me think of examining more closely the dwads & decanates involved. And that in turn made me think of doing with the same with the eclipse... The 18 degrees doesn't have anything to do with the eclipse... it's just my curiosity as to these two closely timed events that's linked them! Sorry to be so confusing! sami

Here's a link to an interesting article which discusses the significance of the upcoming Solar Eclipse in Aries and the other events which coincide with this phenomenon. www.astrologycom.com/eclipse.html"This eclipse is at 8°35' Aries, the warlike sign of the Ram, conjunct the Dragon's Head (Moon's north node: karmic life-path), trine Saturn, the Lord of Karma and sorrow. Saturn in Leo signifies the fall of kings and the solar eclipse is just the event to push them over the edge! In fact, Israeli Prime Minister Arial Sharon has already fallen, as have his opponents the Fatah Palestinian Authority, thanks to the previous eclipse in October 2005. "

Hey guys.. is everyone feeling this astro weather? Today Mercury stationed with Uranus in Pisces, and the moon, venus and chiron are all together in Aquarius, and the sun is on the nn in Aries... not to mention Pluto is stationing at the core... I have felt a bit low since the sun went into Pisces but even though it has gone into Aries now, I don't feel so good yet (and probably because I haven't had any alcohol for a week). I thought that when mercury went direct I would feel better but with the bad weather it's not happened! my Uranus half return is getting close and mercury is opposite my Uranus now so... Anyway for some reason I always feel low when the moon goes into Pisces, tonight I will probably really feel like a drink!! When the moon goes into Aries it is often like a light switch has been flicked - I just feel great and usually very energetic. Bring on the Eclipse I say For the past maybe month I have felt really tired and this last week I've been exhausted even though I am taking it easy and resting a lot. Does anyone (or everyone) else feel down or just me?? Is it the before the Eclipse feeling? Nige

Very interesting, Nige... I usually have the opposite experience of moon in Pisces: many times I've been able to tell that the shift has occurred because I become so incredibly peaceful & have a strong sense of well-being. What does it trigger in your chart when it's in your Pisces house(s)? For me it starts in the 5th and them moves into the 6th... I either feel that my life is very well-ordered, or I'm motivated to to clean things up & feel good in the process.
My energy has been very drifty & diffuse, but not down. Perhaps the wave of heaviness you've been feeling is related to the fact that the eclipse is going to happen on your moon, and you're preparing for an emotional catharsis or purge of some sort??? Feeling tired & weighed down, it might be connecting you unconsciously with emotional bits that want to see the light of day & be released...
But I sure have been feeling a lot of dynamic energy these days -- well-put, prima... the "astro weather" out there is so *charged*!!!!

Dear Team Erosastrology ... I need everyone's help here ... Following is the chart of "B," a very sweet woman whose birthday falls on the Eclipse ... As you can see, natally she has Pluto on her ascendant, opposite Chiron in the 6th ... Pluto is also the focal point of a Yod from her Sun in the 8th (which will get the Eclipse whammy) and Saturn in the 5th (sort of a damper on "fun") ... her Moon is also in the 5th, though not conjunct ... but the Moon is in Capricorn, so it pulls some Saturnian energy, too ... when I look at her, it feels like she's carrying a heavy burden ... While her chart indicates a lot "on her plate" this lifetime, she has handled it beautifully ... She's a vet tech and routinely takes in "hopeless cases" and special needs animals -- one of her cats has diabetes and needs insulin injections daily ... she's also an accomplished musician ... But, aside from her animals, she doesn't seem to have much LOVE in her life ... and, on a daily basis, she sees way too much suffering ... B was a close friend of my neighbor (who, btw, died last Friday night and is in bliss now ... I felt nothing but joy emanating from her ascending spirit ... but that's another story) ... What I need here is the collective Wisdom of the Forum to further interpret B's chart, look at the transits the Eclipse and (I hope) find some joy and optimism for her coming year ... for her birthday, I would love to be able offer her something to look forward to and, perhaps, some respite from sorrow ... Thank you all ... Jamma

Thank you all ... Jamma The solar eclipse is almost exact to her own sun and she has some other strong aspects with mercury conjunct her mars and mars square her mercury (so a double whammy!) It looks like a very powerful and good solar eclipse for B from what I can see so maybe she will have some better fortune I also noticed her very strong Chiron and this would have been activated by Uranus, so sudden changes etc? One other thing I noticed is that she nearly has the same degree ASC and MC as Madonna B's is ASC 9.27 and MC 4.55 Madonna's is ASC 7.18 and MC 2.34 I knew that because I have almost exactly the same degree sun sign as Madonna, she's Leo 23.07, I am 23.09 and I also have Virgo ASC the same - so I remembered that hers was 7 degrees Nige

That's all I can think that the reason must be, the 7th house must be a heavy house for me or something. The way you described how you feel with moon in Pisces is very similar to how I feel whenever the moon goes into Virgo, so into my 1st house Today I went for a slowish walk along a coastal path, I only went for 35 minutes but I felt completely exhausted. I think that it is definitely because I've stopped drinking. My body must be recovering I hope Nige

Hi Nige, I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling so great...can I suggest that your saturnian feelings, combined with giving up drinking, may call for a Jovian herb, or Jovian food to re-balance things?? Jupiter is said to energise and boost the spirits, and it has been found that 'jovian herbs' act on the liver - which in turn is related to depression when compromised (by Saturn transits for example). So I would start with dandelion tea and eat lots of yellow fruit and vegies, white meats such as cornfed free range chicken and fish. I would also be using mercurial cures too - such as fennel. there are some great articles on all this at www.skyscript.co.uk/dandelion.htmlalso, I've posted an article that might be useful to you under 'uranian opposition' in the general astro section of this forum. I hope you feel better with the eclipse - and congratulations on giving up drinking!! joy! pm

PS Jamma, I'd love to help with your friend's chart... all I can see is that Pluto in the 12th, trine moon in 5, which my sister has - and has strived most of her life to deal with Mother issues. I suggest that Pluto transiting her fourth house is a great challenge to her sense of personal security and with a bit of reassurance from that Sun/NN (which I believe 'bestows blessings') in the eighth, and Jupiter in mutual-reception with Pluto, transiting 3 (perhaps some really good, life-changing news) she will be fine... one thing for sure, Pluto will push until she is clear of this phase. I'm not really very good at reading charts with lots going on... could we look at a solar return chart perhaps - with just the planets and chiron/ceres/vesta?? peace, pm
