LOL! Record? For who? It was only 506 pages! ;D You will never be able to write fast enough! When is the next book out? When is the official release of book 1 in the US? Dang! I'm no good at spoiler stuff. What are the rules? Can I ask if anyone tries to tackle Jarrod's horoscope and/or all his blood tie relationships? Are you going to do any book signings? Coming to the States? I'd be happy to host you in Virginia/Maryland. xoxoxo Aphrodite

Well, 1 day is a record for me! My time for pleasure reading is before bed and I usually get about 3 pages in before falling asleep. You realize Rosette was 9 years in the making....and you read her in one day! Book 2, Arrows of time, is out August 2009 and book 3, Strange Attractors is Jan or Feb 2010. There are no world rights yet (releases in other countries) That will happen over the next 6 months. Sometimes US or UK publishers like to see how it goes in Aus first...depends. I think it will get snapped up soon. I would love to hear your ideas about Jarrod's horoscope but NO SPOILERS unless you put a warning and people can avert their eyes at the appropriate moments. You can talk to me about it at any time of course! Yes on the book tours and signings, when the world rights are settled. I am so grateful for your offer to host me in Virginia and Maryland. I will be there with bells! If you have any inclination to write a reader review, it would be most wonderful. email me and I'll send you links that would welcome it Thanks for all your support. I am glowing!!! xxx Kim

Congrats on the books Kim It is a great achievement My attempts at books get pared down to Koans or cartoons so I am in awe of one with the staying power to complete a novel I rarely read fiction due I have read to having Saturn in my third house.......... I did when I was a teenager but since then it has been astrology etc So I will wait for the first movie!!!!

For the writers who've been emailing me that question of all questions: HOW did you get a publishing deal? , Here is a more detailed answer, voyageronline.wordpress.com/ Getting Published: The Hero's Journey parts I, II and III.Thank you for all the messages. If I haven't answered it's because I'm still getting through them! Happy New Year!

Hi Kim,
I found your Getting Published trilogy fascinating. I never could have imagined how many people and evaluations are involved in getting published. Quite a feat!
And 2000 words a day… Holy Keyboards, Batman!!
May I ask another Mercury/Taurus question? Do you write the story in order or do some ideas come to you out of sequence?

Interesting question...in Book 2, Arrows of Time, the story not only came to me out of order, it is written in a nonlinear fashion. You can say, I took some risks with the time line and I wasn't sure my publisher would go for it--but she did and the editor and proofreaders are totally on board as well. Phew!
But for the most part, the story comes in a basic sequence, first, then, finally, like watching a film. I revise all over over the shop though so it's a mix of both.
Thanks for the Holy Keyboards! You will say Mega-Holy-Keyboards to authors like Jennifer Fallon or Greg Bear who write more like 3000 to 4000 words a day!
I'm thinking Jupiter into Aquarius (in my 6th trine my 10th house Gemini planets) could coincide with a higher daily word count. Do you think?
Best, Kim

Hi Kim,
That sounds like a wonderful Jupiter transit coming up! Definitely get ready for a major effort. I think the energy will be there for you, especially since you are already into the groove with your writing.
By the way, your message that I am responding to is 147 words by my count. Do you agree? I'm sure you can easily surge to 3,000 - 4,000 words per day!
Of course, you won't have time to talk to us. :-( We'll miss you!

Good point Aphrodite! If we counted up the words on the forum there would be many many books worth! Prima, I got goosebumps. Let me know what you think! And, the good news is, as Jupiter went into Aquarius my publisher emailed me to say The Spell of Rosette made the top ten best sellers list for fantasy. You can just imagine the happy here!!! Thanks everyone for so much support!!!
