Good Morning Everyone!
I have a question about unaspected, or Peregrine, planets. My new sweetie has an unaspected 8 degree Virgo sun in the sixth house. His sun makes no close major aspects to any other planet in his chart although it does conjunct his descendant with a seven degree orb. He has Venus in Cancer, but the orb is 14 degrees and Mars in Libra but the orb to make it a sextile (although out of sign) is ten degrees and that is a tad far for a sextile. Ditto the Uranus at 0 degrees Cancer. He is a workaholic. According to what he tells me, he has always been a workaholic. His great grandmother told him that he got his first job at seven years old. He's charming in public and is absolutely mesmerizing and dripping with sex appeal lecturing or when in the spotlight (Leo Moon, Pluto in Leo conjunct Eros). I had the pleasure of watching him give a short speech the other day at a community gathering and even though e was talking about composting soil, all the ladies in the audience were twittering and giggling, me included. Privately, he doesn't seem to be in touch with those aspects. When he was sick he let me mother him, and nurse him; but that has been a one time thing. And even though the vast majority of his planets are located between the fifth and eighth houses, he doesn't seem to be really interested in doing what it takes to keep people near. Does the unaspected sun keep the individual from really connecting to the other aspects of themselves, so that they have difficulty relating to their needs?
When I first saw his chart I couldn't even get a bead on it because I couldn't get past that lonely sun, all by itself in the sixth house. I was also having difficulty reconciling the Libra Mars (which I associated with a certain amount of refinement and propriety) with the extremely direct and earthy way he was expressing his attraction to me. I wasn't offended because as an Aries I appreciate directness, but I was astounded because I know and like Virgoes (Virgo midheaven conjunct Jupiter), and I have never known one to be as forthright as he can be. Another reason I wasn't offended is that we have tons of Eros contacts by synastry and composite, plus a host of other mars contacts and venus contacts, and saturn contacts, so we tend to bring out the lustful beast in each other. I've known Virgos with Cancer Venuses and they are all very much like each other and nothing at all like him. So I'm thinking the difference is this lonely sun. Anyone care to shed some light?
