Not sure where to put this, so I'm starting a new thread. It's a personal discovery which I wanted to share as I think it shows very strongly the power of antiscion/mirror degrees and how they can manifest in synastry (with family and friends as well as with lovers).
I've long wondered why I have so many friends, including my sister, with the Moon in Scorpio (6 all told). Today I worked it out. A friend with the Moon at 21 Scorpio (the antiscia of my 9 Aquarius South Node) had been avoiding me for a fortnight, just cut herself off, which began to worry me so I contacted her. Cutting the story short she tells me she feels she can't approach me any more with her problems so thought the best way was to just detach herself. This made me furious, as it's been a loving and mutually supportive friendship up to now. I took it personally and really had to watch my responses. We've kind of come to a truce, and I've come to the realisation that there's a lesson here, about taking things personally and also about how I perhaps need to set better boundaries with friends so that they don't drain all my energy out (transiting Saturn opposite Chiron in Pisces!) She understands too how it would have been better to come out with it, rather than leaving me to hopefully work it out.
It got me thinking - my sister can do this, cut me off for no obvious reason, then is really affectionate and loving next time. Likewise a friend who has now moved away from the UK. Both also have the Moon at 21 Scorpio. So all 3 of those contacts have the Moon by antiscia exactly conjunct my South Node (and Saturn at 10 Aquarius). The three other friends with Moon in Scorpio all have it in later degrees, and the relationship with each of them is much more relaxed and communicative.
What these 21 Scorpio Moons are triggering, by antiscia, is my very deepest fear - the Saturn - of getting something wrong, of breaking a rule (family or friendship) and of fearing that it's always my fault if someone chooses not to contact me. I must have done something wrong. This is clearly a fear brought forward from a past life (South Node) and I've been getting lesson after lesson from people in this life until I "get it".
The Sabian symbol for 21 Scorpio is "Obeying his Conscience, a Soldier resists orders" which according to Lynda Hill's wonderful book is about allowing yourself to break a rule if your inner voice tells you it's OK to do it. She also mentions "the consequences of having a conscience" and boy, does that resonate!!
And what's revealing all this to me? Draconic Pluto at 10 Aquarius, that's what! Giving me Plutonic challenges to bring to the surface crystallised fears (Saturn) that are no longer necessary.
Modifying this later, I'm thinking that my Mars is 20.40 Taurus (contrascia of Saturn!!) so all these 21 Scorpio moons oppose it. Mars is in my 12th, so has had a very hard time getting out and expressing itself. All these people push my "anger" button
and I can now see why their presence in my life is so necessary - to help me access that point in Taurus which has been hidden.
