Hi guys Have just realised that this upcoming eclipse - 14/15th March - is at 24 degrees Pisces/Virgo. Its exactly on my MC/IC, with the north node in the degree of my natal 10th house Chiron at 4 Aries...(that node is getting close to 'return' now - only 4 degrees!) and the moon triggering that conjunction of pluto/jupiter/sn/uranus. I've just read this article www.cainer.com/weeklyframe.htmby Eric Francis (you either love him or can't stand him) which is all about this eclipse. Eric is a bit of a fan of the Aries Point, for anyone else whos interested. Hopefully this eclipse will reboot my career! blessings, pm

Thanks for the link...I looked around the site but couldn't find the article...Where the heck are they? Mercury Rx is getting me cranky this morning, I think... Anyway, he has lots of forecasting going on. I would like to see what he says about the eclipse...am I blind? (you don't have to answer that!) lol Kim

Thanks for the article posting....I had to borrow Kim's shades to find the astrology secrets...I thought I was blind as well!!! Kim-since asteroids are one of your best specialties, how do you see Juno in the mix with this grand cross of an eclipse? Today was an odd day for me....easily agitated for sure....perhaps it is the current Tr Uranus square tr Mars influence....I don't know but I am feeling 'something' pretty strong. So....off to soothe my sensitive Cancerian Moon with warm, fresh-baked Italian Focaccia bread topped with olive oil, rosemary and a sprinkle of coarse salt....wish I could feed you all!!! Oops....OK...back to astrology.....any thoughts on this eclipse and it's rather interesting make-up?? Hugs- GemStar

Dear Pm,
Wow, thanks for this link. I hope to report back more when I've had a chance to assimilate, but the article was EXTREMELY timely. I had a chakra clearing yesterday where issues of marriage and C kept surfacing and I feel my intent was clarified. And it directly relates to healing the relationship with both men on whatever levels, especially at this time that we are coping with J's illness.
Thanks so much. What a wonderful blessing this forum has been to me!
Off to teach.

Hi Everyone, Here is Janet Kane's insightful interpretation of the upcoming eclipse. I find her psychological approach more accessible than Eric Francis, though it's good to have contrast. Remember, the eclipse is like a window. Take time out to create ritual around the time of the actual eclipse to align yourself with this event. Over the next few days you can look into the past and then into the future in regards to your Virgo-Pisces houses. What do you see? What would you change? Your intention is what will recreate your life in new and more authentic ways. Kim March 2006 EclipsesEvery six months, eclipses show the turning points in our lives. They indicate what we are to accomplish for the following year to 3 years. They bring in news and events that are sometime "out of the blue". Time seems to speed up. Eclipses can clear what may obscure the way forward.
Eclipses appear often in the mythology of different cultures most often as symbols of obliteration, fear, and the overthrow of the natural order of things. The ancients believed that during an eclipse, the "mighty will fall". Eclipses were the great omens of fated, large-scale events. The word eclipse comes from a Greek word meaning "abandonment." Quite literally, an eclipse was seen as the Sun abandoning the earth.
Remember that the key words for Eclipses are emphasis and crisis. An Eclipse tends to emphasize matters related to the house it falls in on your astrological chart or what planets it hits. These matters will then demand more attention, thought, energy, and time from you, at least until the next Eclipse. Eclipses open doors and invite us to come in, illuminating and stimulating areas of our lives that need our attention.
This month we have two Eclipses:
1. Mar 14 - Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse at 6:35 PM at 24 Virgo.
This eclipse will be visible from Europe, Africa and the eastern half of America.
Those of you with the ascendant or personal planets at 23 to 25 Virgo or Pisces will feel the affects of this Eclipse. If you have no planets at those degrees or signs, you will experience some awakening or change in the area ruled by the house that contains 24 Virgo. You could have a very emotional time in the house where the eclipse falls in your chart. These houses and planets describe the parts of your life that will look much different a year from now.
Full moon Lunar Eclipses generally are more emotional than Solar Eclipses. They can bring up old memories and feelings. As a full Moon, a Lunar Eclipse tends to bring completion or endings. On a Lunar Eclipse something will end and on a Solar Eclipse something will begin. A Lunar Eclipse is an opportunity to break habits or eliminate socially conditioned patterns of thought and behavior that stand in way of self realization. .
Full moon eclipses can bring things to completion that you have been working on. You can finally make decisions about issues that you have been thinking about. The Sun opposite the Moon, lights up the Moon and brings previously unexamined areas of your life into awareness.
A Lunar Eclipse can be felt as early as 2 weeks prior to the Eclipse itself and can last up to 6 months. This Lunar eclipse will particularly affect people with Virgo and Pisces in their chart. Janet Kane 2006

Hi Amoroso, its good to read that you're having some clarity on such complex issues - yes, thank goddess for this forum!
Kim, that article is great. I'll be sure to take the advice to create a ritual for the actual time, which I think is around 9.30 on Wednesday morning here. Meanwhile, I've been frantically searching for books and articles on what an eclipse on the MC/IC might portend, and what I need to do to maximise positives - my career can sure use a clean slate, and my conditioning likewise!
Too bad an eclipse can't re-condition every white-anglo-saxon-middle-class-male policy-maker who, I am told, are running things.
Does anyone have any ideas on how the Pluto square will go with the eclipse?
Where is the other of this pair of eclipses?
joy! pm

Great read Kim! I liked her writing style as well! With this Lunar Eclipse squaring tr Pluto...I suppose it will give extra energy for ending something which needs to end and thereby, opening for transformation along the way! (Maybe followed up with the Solar Eclipse in two weeks!) For me, this Lunar eclipse falls in the beginning of my 11th house...and of late, I have really been missing working with people and groups....perhaps change with VIR 10th- my career/my house (keeping my latest project) and money matters, must become a high focus for me. ( Ihave felt it strongly in the last week or so!) Tr Pluto is currently in my 2nd house-surprise, surprise!! I have quite a bevy of mid-points in my 8th house GEM which will be affected by the eclipse but no personal planets. I am not quite sure how the 8th house factors in here. This morning, my step-Grandma Jean passed to the other side after a massive stroke. Wednesday I will be attending the service...Good-byes and endings fit in on that day.....she was a wonderful lady! Ahhhh...perhaps death fits in here (8th house).... AND, my step-Grandma Jean was a Gemini!! Hmm.....maybe I AM getting a better hang of this than I realize! I believe that Pluto will give those folks, who are being directly affected with personal planets or points, more power for changing things which need changing...power to face what needs to be dealt with!! Perhaps the square makes it more challenging and not so easily laid out but nonetheless, having it's energy present in any form will certainly add some flavor to this Lunar Eclipse! Thanks again for the awesome articles... Hugs- GemStar

Thanks Jade....she was my Step-grandma Jean and my step-mom's mother. She lived to the wonderful age of nearly 93....but had been 'losing it' over the last two years. Passing on before you get too immobile (or lose all your marbles) is THE way to go! (She was one of those elderly ladies who still flirted with all the men...Gemini that she was....and was nearly always the last person on the dance floor at weddings!! She was a party-gal!)
So, I guess this is one of the endings this eclipse brings to our family! All is good and my father said she looked at peace! (Sag Sun -1st h father with Scorp rising...very intuitive, even though he is stuck in the 50s mentality!!)
I guess one pf the ways to look at endings is also finding PEACE with such goodbyes. We tend to worry or get upset at endings but sometimes forget that the 'tranquility of peace' is a beautiful result!
So-for everyone who may experience resolutions at this time, find your peace and celebrate!
Hugs- GemStar

Thanks Kim for that article and GemStar, my condolences to you but I must say. I agree. Living to that age and doing it with that kind of verve and fun enthusiasm is lovely. (Typical Gemini! )
We had some extraordinary news on the Friday March 10 which will play out intensely over the coming weeks. I could not help but see some echos of the Lunar Eclipse....
Our son was accepted into a competitive private high school here and awarded an unexpected very generous scholarship. My Virgo North Node is at 23 (house 9 education, right!!) near the MC (trine POF Cap 22 (h2--resources, money right?) and Venus (h5--kids).
This will officially mark his/our end of private/parochial/catholic/religious schooling and the beginning of a radically different, more progressive educational environment. It was his first choice (Sag Sun Vertex conjunct and Scorpio Mercury). The faith connection will be radically different (Jewish with a small percentage of Protestant and a smaller of Catholics) and the school is coed. Our son's chart does not seem to have planetary connections to this eclipse though his Part of Fortune of in Pisces --wide conjunction to the Lunar Opposition.
On the personal side, It is also clear to me that the surprising correspondences I had with Doc last week will herald a radical turn in our relationship. Both of us have tight affilations with this eclipse...though I believe the "ending" may well be not the ending of us necessarily but us as we have known it. And I think I may well be the one who makes the changes unfold. Mercury Retro is also playing havoc so I may ride out some of this until the 25th when it goes direct..Doc is natally Mercury Retro in Pisces at 16....

Oh boy, another major astrological event coming my way! This is INDEED the year of transformation and change for me. The lunar eclipse at 24 Virgo will be an interesting one for sure.
It will be at the end of my 10th house in Virgo and almost exactly conjunct my natal Pluto (26). It will also be opposite my natal Psyche (25 Pisces) and Venus (20 Pisces) in the 4th house. Squaring my natal moon & Eros (both at 26 Sag) in the 2nd.
I will be VERY interested to see how this unfolds on Wednesday as I have a counseling session scheduled with a divorce counselor. I wonder if this will help me to shed all the baggage I've been carrying around, all the guilt. Guess it was a good time to schedule the session, lunar eclipse AND Merc. retrograde. Let's see, during this Merc. retrograde, my TV has died, my car all of a sudden has a problem with the ignition turning and the carroof has sprung a leak.
Plus with all the tension with the Uranus/Mars square right now, I've been a bit snappy lately. I have to keep reminding myself that these next few days are going to be trying. I keep saying "just go with the flow, just go with the flow...." Well, let's see what happens!

It's taken me quite awhile to be able to post this ... don't know why, except ennui ... I've been feeling, by turns, sad, hopeless, anxious, heartbroken, afraid, grief-stricken, nauseated, paralyzed ... then hopeful and silly for having above feelings ... then back into the first cycle again ...
Here are the eclipse transits to my natal:
Moon will have just passed my Moon/Merc conjunction at 19-21 Pisces (and Sun just finishing its conjunction to my Sun) on the cusp of my 3rd House and Eclipse's 8th House... Mercury conjunct Moon ... Venus square Chiron 8 Scorp in 10th Jupiter trining Moon/Merc Saturn conjunct Saturn Uranus conjunct Ceres and Sun/Moon midpoint Neptune conjunct Pallas Pluto conjunct progressed Eros Chiron square Chiron Juno opposite Juno Vesta conjunct Hecate (added Hecate on a whim, don't know why -- it's not in my normal asteroid list) Psyche conjunct Uranus -- both squaring off against Eros conjunct Moon/Merc Anteros conjunct Cupid
There could be more, but that's all I could spot with tears in my eyes (why??) ... I'm starting to feel sick again, along with a sense of foreboding about my neighbor, who is also a Pisces Sun (don't know her birth data, tho) ... she's been in the hospital for 2 weeks and I'm hoping the eclipse will spell the end of her illness instead of her ...
Sorry for the whine-a-thon ... Jamma

oh Jamma! Darling just let yourself go with it. Cry if you feel like crying - you are not silly for feeling what you feel - the world is silly, crazy, nauseating and all those things, by turn, at times. Whatever you do, let it all OUT, let it not BE YOU, but be from you... you are more than this, infinitely so.
we all love you here!
Peace, pm

Yes, Jamma, let it go, or make room to assimilate "it."
I have learned that when I feel like that, I have to make time for nothing. Because it usually means there's something around the corner that will need me to have my act together, and if I haven't made time, I am shocked or cattle-prodded into ineffectiveness when it happens.
PM, have you figured out anything about the MC/IC axis and the eclipse? I discovered that it is also hitting my husband's MC/IC (he just set the surgery date today for removal of the prostate cancer,) and it is the same degree of the MC/IC in my progressed chart!
I find it interesting that I sent C another letter last week, without expecting to hear back from him, in order to sort of free myself from him. It was a good letter. The eclipse is on our composite Uranus in the first house, opposite Chiron in the 7th house. I feel like BO expressed with Doc--it is the ending of one way of relating, and signals a new beginning, although I don't know what that may be.
Blessings, Amoroso
PS Congrats on your son's school, BO!
