for about a year now, i have been experiencing neptune on my natal venus in the 5th (on the cusp). (neptune came really close to conjuncting my natal aqua venus last year, in feb or march, but then it turned retrograde.) now it will finally conjunct my natal venus on march 16 of this year.
due to its retrogradation, it will pass over my natal venus a couple more times:
aug 3, 2006 - neptune will make a retrograde pass over n. venus
jan 16-17, 2007 - neptune will make its final pass over my n. venus
i was reading some alan leo not that long ago, and he has a beautiful quote: "Neptune allows the soul to leave the body."
after reading this, the magnitude of this transit really hit me. it has of course been affecting me, but this quote really made something click for me.
anyone else experiencing a major neptune transit? what has been your experience? what do you think of the quote?
sincerely, chrissy

Hi Chrissy! Right now I am beginning the start of Tr Neptune squaring my natal neptune...and have just finished a Neptune square to my ASC. It is not the most motivating time of my life...in fact, my spirituality has been very prominent!! My awareness of my influence on others has increased...meaning, listening and really getting in deeper touch with the other person's energy as a way to help and heal. Also, my astrology studies ramped WAY up over the past two years....tr Neptune is in my third house and ready to conjunct my IC. But boy.....it is a really foggy time of late!! The quote you wrote of spoke clearly to me! My 'Soul' is floating above and looking at my Life and others in a very surreal-feeling experience. It is lovely yet frustrating as I have always been a very driven person. Now I feel simply content to exist and enjoy my simple balance and soul-centeredness. Which would be a good thing except I am not getting much done in the way of earning money...renovating houses is my occupation and I have been lacking energy to complete simple projects! It is really upsetting to me. If a house is not completed, I do not put it on the market....so being stuck like this has been something I seem to be stressing about. The soul leaving the body is a beautiful experience...it is as if one is connected with everything! I feel this...and also feel a peace at the same time....(despite my stresses). Life is good overall...and I really have little to complain about! The feeling that all will be taken care of and provided for me is really present. So....I am not sure if I am off in La-la land somewhere or am really grounded and this is what being centered is all about. I dunno. Either way....my Soul forced my body into a resting mode....and while my Scorpio ASC is not too thrilled, secretly, I LOVE IT! This time is meant for me to get back in deeper touch with Me and the directions my life wants to go in...however, the Fog is my least favorite part! I can take a little Fog, but this is too much and for too long!! Where are my 'Magical Fogless goggles'?? Now THAT would be a cool invention for everyone going through Neptune transits!! Hugs- GemStar

Neptune has been transiting my natal Pallas (17 Aquarius 59) in the 2nd ... couldn't figure out what this signifies -- illusions about being a mercenary soldier? Pallas is also part of a grand trine with natal Uranus (17 Gem 44) in the 6th and Sappho (18 Libra 54) in the 9th, so the illusion might extend toward health issues or sex as a religious ritual?? ... As I said in another thread, I'm submerged in Piscesness these days, so brain is quite fuzzy ... please forgive the vagueness ... Jamma

Hi Jamma, I think Neptune conjunct natal Pallas is interesting in that Neptune could diffuse Pallas' instincts for action. But she also symbolizes wisdom of an analytical sort, and don't forget, Neptune may be watery and dreamy but he drove a chariot!!! The combination of the two could be pretty productive. (I wish I could take credit for the "driving the chariot" thing, but I read it somewhere recently and can not credit the author, alas.) Sappho also has to do with "like-minded friends," a connection to Uranus. Hope this helps! I feel like I have been a forum dud lately. Blessings, Amoroso
