Dear Moondance,
I'm not an accomplished horary person, as Amoroso states, I'm just strongly opionated on the subject, and very much a student! Furthermore, I had an accident two weeks ago and have not been able to think clearly at all, or grasp any abstract concepts. I'll give it a try though.
I'd like to see the chart.
Amoroso is right about horary charts and questions about feelings. They are tricky.
But if you had stated the question otherwise, in a fashion where the question could have been answered with Yes or No, fact would have remained that he does not receive Jupiter at all, and you receive him in term. One can have reception in sign, exaltation, triplicity, term and face. Term is not by far the strongest.
Here's the table:
www.skyscript.co.uk/dig2.htmlMoon was around 14 deg of Aq, right? Ac about 10 Sag?
Moon in the face of Mercury, so some reception on his part too.
Moon is your co-significator, and provides additional info on where the matter is heading.
Moon is applying to an inconjunct with Mercury, which means adjustment, something not quite easy, something etheral perhaps. Amoroso could tell you some interesting things about inconjuncts in horary!
Your ex lover is Mercury, and is combust, so even though he is in his own sign and in exaltation, he is not in a strong position now.
Moreover, you are each in the sign of the others detriment, not feeling at ease at all, something 'off'.
Moondance, maybe this horary is trying to tell you something after all.
The POF indeed is in 5, so that means there is happiness for you in sexual relationship! Ruler of 5 is Mars, and about to change signs. Ruler of POF is Venus, about to change signs too. I guess there will be change.
Since Venus is ruler of 11 too, I wonder if friend-ly feelings about a man will change into something different... Mars in in 10, someone at your work?
In the chart I put up, and where AC is at 10, Jupiter is formally in 12, within 5 deg from cusp 12.
Moon is about to enter 3, will you communicate with the ex?
About my own experiences with the love of my life: I have had 'some' experience (three years
) with unrequisited love for an ex-lover, and always thought I'd never find such a great fit again. How wrong I was! At just the moment I was as committed to myself as never before, I met someone!
Maybe the new man in my life will be the love of my life, as it is now. He is only the fourth man in my life I've felt serious about, and I'm 49 now! The latest is always the greatest, to me. Maybe I'm so true and monogamous I kept hanging on for a long time... maybe needed a man in my life, even though he was no longer there irl.
I'm sure we have not spoken the last words about reception here. Does 'weak' reception mean there are no strong feelings, or does it mean the feeling energy cannot be used??
I need to study some old charts soon.
I wish you all the best!
Juliet
