Hi everyone, Thought you might be interested in the Lunar Eclipse Midpoints... by Martha Lang-Wescott. www.treehousemountain.com/studychart6.htmThis eclipse, 15th March in Australia (9.35 am Full Moon 24Virgo15, 9.46 am Lunar Eclipse) is going to be exactly Conjuncting my North Node in 10th house... which means the Transiting Sun will be exactly Conjuncting my Venus Conjunct South Node in Pisces in 4th house. Also Transiting Pluto in Sag. is Squaring this axis and Conjuncting my Juno 27 Sag (Conjunct Asc) and Opposing my Black Moon Lilith 26 Gem (Conjunct Desc). Yowzer... On this same day... Transiting Mercury (18Pis35) and T. Jupiter (18Sco41) will be in Trine... I have Mercury 17Pisces, Moon 17 Cancer so they will be creating a Grand Trine. Transiting Eros will be 20 Pisces, Transiting Uranus 11 Pisces will be Conjunct my Natal Eros 11Pis44, Urania 12 Pis, IC 12Pis25... so obviously Opposite MC. Really... Thank you Suzi for this link and post! I agree with the statement, “Something’s got to happen, right?” This is a good time to define the word "happens". What do we mean in the astrological model? Something in 3D reality? Something in a dream or meditative state? Something in our bodies, our minds or emotions? News of something 'happening' to someone else? "Events" in astrology act out or express in three major ways: (list more if you can think of them!!!) 1. An INNER event which consists of a dream, epiphany, inspiration, body/energy feeling. It is marked by the 'wow' moment and can have potent effect on our future 'reality'. It acts on the psyche (both conscious and unconscious). 2. An OUTER even which consists of a waking experience that changes something in our everyday experience. It is empirical in that we can qualify it with the senses: sight, touch, taste, hearing etc. It acts on consciousness. 3. An event experienced by ’someone else’. This is where OUR transit describes and event, inner or outer, that we hear of 'second hand' because it 'happens' to somebody else! This is projection in action and usually acts on both conscious and unconscious. With that definition in mind, let us know 'What happens' and see if you can tune into the subtler inner events that are likely to coincide with the experience!! Thanks again for the post. Warmly, Kim

Thanks for that, Jade! The Lunar eclipses to seem to touch us on a deep emotional level, heralding or precipitating events or encounters with others that really gets the Lunar side of life going. Melaine Reinhart writes about this in her book, ' Incarnations' (which is actually transcripts from a series of lectures) and she reminds us to think of the Moon (in terms of eclipses) as where our dependency issues are lodged, where we have attachments and habits and we are most identified and self-invested. At the Lunar Eclipse, all that is put 'on hold' by the shadow of the EARTH. The past is eclipsed by the present. Melaine suggests to go beyond 'disaster oriented' images of lunar eclipses handed down to us by the ancients, we can see it as a 'window in time'. She says this can be a moment of seeing and experiencing the lunar consciousness or soul quality, which is prophetic and poetic in nature! In this vision lies the hidden seeds of our own future. The eclipse coming up on the 14th (15th for the N. Hemisphere) can be a great time to tune in consciously to the ' window in time'. There is a lot of power and energy around and it can help with the 'transition' between past and future...really get you in the 'now', in the current. At the time of the eclipse, Meditate, create ritual to let go of the past, process separations and stand ready for the future. Be the Earth between the Sun and Moon! Tune into the HOUSE AXIS where this eclipse falls in your chart! What does this suggest about the past, present and future? Does this make sense? Kim

Yes Jade, the theme of parent and child is strong. This eclipse might be a productive time to reflect on what gives you a sense of support. What surrounds and protects you so that you feel strong and confident to move out into the world? What hindered that feeling of protection and emotional stability in the past? What might support it in your future? My eclipse axis is the 1st and 7ths. I really need to think about that window before the 14th! Kim

We had a query about Midpoints and Eclipses so I thought to bump this thread up. We can look here also at the eclipse transits to our natal midpoints (and also lunations to midpoints) Who has an example? (Keep orbs tight within 1 degree but do use the near and far midpoint) Kim
