Hi Kim,
Question about reading Horary charts. In a relationship question, if a planet or point appears on a point (within one degree) of the couple's composite chart, is this read with the same importance as when this happens to a natal chart? And does consider all aspects? For example, the Sun in the Horary chart appears in the same degree as the composite south node.
And is it as important if that Sun is trine or sextile the composite south node? Thanks, Amoroso

I think it is significant in that the Horary is a TRANSIT chart, a moment in time, and the question you asked about the relationship has something to do the a South Node theme. I would read the horary as a 'stand alone' with the awareness that the question concerns 'where the entity of the relationship is coming from, and what seeks balance.
I wouldn't be to focused on any aspect other than conjunction and possible opposition. Composites are midpoint charts already so the actual point (conjunction) would be the 'message'. I'm sure there are cases where this differs and perhaps a square to both nodes would be strong but again, it wouldn't effect the reading except to know that you had certainly asked, 'at the right time' when the Sun was transiting that point in the composite!
Does this make sense?
Can we see an example?
Hope you're well and coping with recovery!
Warmly, Kim

Thanks, Kim. John is doing very well--I took off from work all week to care for him but he is recovering well enough that I've had time to write. I go back to work tomorrow.
Anyway, I think I jumped too far ahead with the concept of horary chart planets on a planet or point in a composite chart. I think a more valid comparison might be a transit chart to the time a place something happened. For example, on Sept. 30, 2004 (already!) when that magic lunch happened, and I knew I was a goner, almost all the transiting personal planets were in aspect to our composite SN.
But it was great to have a place to sort of talk this out. Thanks! Amoroso

Hi Amoroso and Kim!
Would it make any sense to try a Davison composite and see if this aspect occurs there too? A Davison isn't about midpoints of planets, but a whole new chart calculated for the midpoint in time, I think. Something like that. Sometimes the Davison looks pretty much like the Composite, and with other people completely different. You can get it from the pull-down menu at Astro.com.
Cheers, Whiteheather
