Hi Astro Friends, Having so much Chiron/Sun/NN activity at the moment I was considering that my slowly-developing urge to enter into a career in holistic counselling and sort of creative 'life coaching' (without the Anthony Robbins connotations - does that make sense?) as well as continuing with writing...might be the result of this rather than a vocational 'calling'... in other words, am I feeling this way inclined due to transits/returns or is this what I should be doing... so I asked 'should I become a life coach?' here is the chart: So what do you think?? I am not sure if I should use the tenth... but have anyway. There aren't any aspects between rulers. But moon on the nn, in the ninth.... more study? Of course I'll have to do courses, so that was on the cards too. moon's next aspect is to Chiron...I think I'm going around in circles! Help?!?! Some clarity and guidance will be greatly appreciated. joy, pm

PM,
With Saturn parked AGAIN on my MC and John's surgery coming up I have limited time to write now--(I WILL return at some point) but I wanted to say that
1. The Moon will be square to Mars in 16 degrees. However, I would use the 10th only if you were asking about a specific employer, perhaps a health care practice or service agency that would employ you. Therefore, I would use
2. The sixth house cusp--Jupiter, which is inconjunct the Moon, very appropriate, because you said you needed more study and courses. There's a way to go before doing this. Also, going into business for yourself requires, as you know, a time to build up, market, network, etc.
3. Therefore, the aspect to Chiron is appropriate to the kind of work you want to do.
4. The Sun and Moon above the horizon lean toward a YES! as does what I pointed out above.
You go!
Blessings, Amoroso

Amoros, I miss you too! ;( Sending lots of love and light and blessings! Give us the surgery date so we can boost energy your way on that day! PM, The 10th is an employer, as Amoroso said. It is also the house we look at when asking about a career and business. I got an immediate YES when I saw your ruler Moon (you are always the Ascendant) conjuncting the Sun! Moon last over Mercury is fitting "what do I do?" and implies the need for study. The 9th house also indicates the advanced education required and it is the outcome house of the 6th 'helping professions'...so that Moon/Sun in the 9th really beams a yes to me. Mars ruling the 10th (career) in the 12th says working behind the scenes with those less fortunate. Mars also suggests that you will be self-employed. Mars in a mutable sign says you will teach, travel, write and communicate. Moon in Aries (cardinal) says you'll be your own authority. Ruler of the 10th on the Ascendant side of the chart says this is a career--not a 'job'. Moon's last aspect is trine to Pluto--in the 6th! That's therapy, baby! The helping professions. The square to mars just means the challenges you'll face in making it happen. Once on your way, you won't look back! Fortuna conjunct the Asc brings SUBSTANCE. It helps make things happen. Trust that! She's in Cancer, she's in YOU! ANY aspect to Fortuna is a blessing. Check out the declinations! Is there a parallel from Moon to fortuna? Mars? Let us know. This is a yes chart! Kim

Oh, PM, just remember, you asked, "should I..." not "Will I...." Interesting.

Hi Kim,
thanks for that! Yes, the phrasing itself is telling - and twice today I'm reminded, as Juliet sent me a message asking me what I really meant by the question "remember we always get our real questions answered"!! I'm certainly ambivalent with this question, as I don't really know how to define the term for what I want to do... and am quite stumped so far as to how I will fund the training needed, which also appears to be available only in other states. Looking at scholarships, I am hoping for a miracle! Well, that is, if I can set my intentions on something, I can expect a miracle.
I checked declinations...ah, parallels are something I know nothing about. Mars is at 24.50 N and fortuna is at 23.18 N. the moon is at 1 degree N.
It does appear, though things are not completely clear, that I'm in the right vicinity of where I need to look, at least.
joy! pm

Hi PM,
Thanks for posting the declinations. Are there any planets between 1 and 3 degrees N or S? The Moon would be approaching those by parallel or contra-parallel. Think, for starters, as the Parallel being a conjunction energy and the contra-Parallel being an opposition energy.
These are important to look at in progressions as well. (check the declination of the houses to for links to the Moon)
In the Horary, we can ask any chart, "Where does this person's future begin' and we look to where the ruler of that person's 2nd house (the future of the 1st) is placed. Your second house cusp is Leo and the ruling Sun is in the 9th--It seems clear that the next step will be further education (or travel???) certainly you will be expanding your horizons!

Hi Kim... I checked the declinations for those at 2-3 degrees N or S, there is only the Sun ( 3N) and the Nodes (1.44 N) (approaching the eclipse).
Yesterday a friend came to visit and gave me two leads - the first a possibility of work experience with a friend of hers (a fellow I've met a couple of times socially) and is a life coach (I didn't know!). The second is that a really good friend of hers teaches Narrative Therapy, which I'd not heard of but since reading all about it have decided is perfect for me too. The courses are here in my city - and actually affordable!
with that helpful tip 'where does this person's future begin?' I will be looking back over all my horary question at the second house ruler! thanks again Kim!
joy! pm
