My husband's company has downsized.. severely.. he has survived a number of changes including, the privatization of the telephone company he used to work for (Telia) and them creating new companies from the various service sectors within telecommunications... sadly this company really was in need of an overhaul and they really cut down staff for the last time, and people who have stayed this time around have all gotten pay cuts up to 25%.. he has been let go, as most of his bosses before him... but still with a hopeful 6 months full time wages, and some other benifits that come with his union. In the end, although he's taking it easy and not stressing out, sometimes he can't sleep because he's not really certain about his future- yet at the same time we both know he's a valuable resource for any company he works for, and he shouldn't be out of work for very long... but I asked about this BEFORE we totally knew he was being let go. I get the feeling this means that he will (considering the mutual reception of Sun and Saturn) come up to getting something within only a few months, or is it me?.. because this particuallar question focus on resources, and jobs as resources.. and with the 2nd and 8th house in focus as well as Uranus on the MC.. I believe that some of this will end up being the both of us working.. or me suporting the family, which if I can do it, I would love to. I'm not all together certain. The Moon will make a semi sextile to Venus and Jupter and Venus will be in sextile aspect (due to Venus in retrograde) from the 5th to 6th house -- it reminds me he applied for a job within the music buisness, his nearly dream job.. as he does love music so much. They interviews for this job will start at the end of Feb.. Mercury is the ruler of HIS 6th and his 10th house if you turn the chart with 7th as the first. The Sun being in mutual reception with Saturn. Saturn and Sun nearly in opposition with each other as well. Moon was last over Jupiter, (opposite Mars) I must confess I'm still optimistic..but not "fired up". The last Moon aspect will be Moon conjunction Pluto..(before Pallas Athena) (for me symbolic of working women in a "man's world" everywhere) Am I off track or do I see this theme where its not just him but the both of us? I mean especially with so much with the traditional ruler of Aquarius in Leo (2nd house from the 8th house) and the ruler of Leo in Aquarius (8th house to the 2nd house). It worked out so well, and yet it was so time consuming with my son's school, but it's actually a much better situation with his school than I realized.. and he loves it there too (one less worry) and here we have Mutual receptions AGAIN.. From what I have studied, the mutual reception neutralizes any "negative" outcomes.. so I have to wonder, what this outcome could be? Stay tuned be well all, svenskasfinx

Hi Sven,
It must be a time of uncertainty and change for the whole household now, with new school, changed employment etc.
I see him as ruled by Saturn and his job the 10th ruled by Mercury as is his 6th. (we are turning the chart here to put the 7th on the Ascendant and reading it from his perspective). Mercury suggests the career has something to do with communications, the written or spoken word, links from ‘point A to point B’, linking people together via messages, telecommunications, internet, commerce, and anything that uses the hands.
His ruler retrograde says that AT THE TIME the question was asked, he was unwell, troubled, worried or unable to function in his usual way concerning the matter. The mutual reception puts him as the Sun in the 2nd (which is, like the moon, never Rx) and that is most likely the 6 month pay out and other benefits you spoke of.
Saturn Rx and peregrine ruling the outcome of the question and the 10th suggests that loss, restriction, limitation or ‘cut backs’ result (yet not without support via MR Sun in 2nd).
The ruler of the 10th moves to oppose Saturn (his ruler) suggesting separation—he will not keep that job.
The question doesn’t ask what will happen with another job per say, but asks what will happen with the one he had at the time. However the ruler of the 2nd house (the future) is where the ‘next step’ starts to operate. Uranus in the 4th says he’s going to be home for a while—Saturn in the 8th suggests an eventual partnership or working via joint resources, grants or funding of some kind. The mutual reception gets him out of his situation and into another that is much more satisfying (in the sign of it’s rulership).
The Moons only MAJOR aspects—what will happen—are the sextile to Neptune (what does he dream of doing?) and the conjunction to Pluto. I feel there will be an event that will alter his course, transform his career in a new way. He may ‘start over from scratch’ on some level, but will be immensely more satisfied. That Pluto rules an intercepted house, it is a change he may not ‘see’ right away, perhaps not until he in already working somewhere else.
Comments?
I certainly wish you both all the luck—these kinds of changes although filled with uncertainty can lead to better things!
Warmly, Kim

Thankyou Kim! and no worries - I see him finally doing what he dreams of, and perhaps so will I (that may be another question) but its really nice to have him HOME. I know he's "starting over from scratch" something he's never had to do before, but for some reason I really trust that everything is "as it should be".. and I don't exactly know or understand why. He probably thinks I'm crazy not being worried.. but I'm just trying to do my part, and he is trying to do his as well we can't do any better than that. Thanks again for your kindness.. svenskasfinx
