What happens when the querent and the house significator are the same sign? For example, the AC is Aries, ruled by Mars, and the house cusp of the question is Scorpio (also ruled by Mars.)
Thanks, Amoroso

LOL As a Gemini, I hear it as two! When you have this situation, you use the co-ruler moon for EITHER the querent or the quesited. I would also use the modern rulers in this case, giving the querent Mars and the quesited Pluto. Does that make sense? There is a flexibility with rulers via traditional and modern rulerships, the co-ruler Moon and mutual receptions (where they keep their degree but change places.) Make sense? Kim

This question is from BlueOrchids and also regards rulership and the use of the Moon as co-ruler (which means the subject bar, written in the past, has become authentic now, in the future.
The real question is, did BlueOrchids have the query regarding rulership because Amoroso asked one question not two, or did Amoroso ask one not two because she 'knew' BlueOrchids would ask this question months later???
(get used to it ... I have Neptune trine Mercury all year and I'm positively wacky...I love it!
Now, the question from BO:
I have an odd question. How does one handle a completely unaspected significator (none to planets that is) in a Horary (in this case Saturn Retro)... I did not want to throw the chart up here until trying to work on it myself...
When a significator (querent or quesited) ruler is unaspected, we give them the Moon as co-ruler. Otherwise, nothing is happening for that person in context of the question. See what it says with the moon as there ruler. Does it change the story?
Let me know if you have any further problem logging on!!!
Warmly, Kim
