Dear forum, I cast this chart ages ago and decided I was too green to interpret it! With Uranus rising I felt that whatever the answer was it would be a sudden revelation anyway. However, nothing has manifested yet, even with recent job applications, ongoing campaign for better child support from my children's father, and even my father's offer of work has so far not given a result (ever the business man, he extends HIS line of credit). I got extensions on my bills but there is only so much extending of time without paying before disconnections are inevitable. Eek! I've taken the second as 'income', the cusp of which is Aries, so Mars rules... as we can see he is retrograde in the third, with the moon fast approaching. I think this reflects my crisis quite well. I am Jupiter over in the 8th, making only an applying trine to Uranus and approaching a conjunction with the Sun. The eighth is always a mystery to me (heh, no pun intended but this feels like an inheritance or something... maybe a settlement? Or maybe this is just me hoping for a miracle... I am due in court in January, over property issues, but hanging in until then is a stretch. Does anyone else get a feel for this chart? Thanks, PrimaMateria

Yes, I was thinking that Jupiter in the 8th way your reliance, at this point in time, on other people's money.
The second house answers questions about possessions (that you can pick up and carry around) money, finances and the fear (0r lack of fear) of poverty.
Jupiter at the end of its sign says you are getting pretty close to the end of your rope! Co-ruler Neptune Rx and besieged in the 12 echoes this. Lots of distress!
The ruler of the 2nd (your financial situation) Rx says things won't happen fast. I suspect you will not see change until both transiting Mercury and Mars turn around and speed up (mid-December).
We need a connection between the ruler of the 1st and the 2nd to bring you and your money together. (if it is earned income or resources). If you are looking for payouts from other people, then it's the 1st and the 8th. (You're ruler in the 8th says you are going to them, approaching them).
There is no aspect between you and the 8th, but we do have co-ruler Moon conjuncting Mars in a little more than 3 degrees suggesting that (in an undetermined amount of time--cadent and fixed) you will have a sustaining income in the future. How?
The north node is key I think.
Where is your North Node by house and sign in your natal chart? What is it that you feel the most enthusiasm to pursue? When you start developing the talents and aptitudes of your natal North Node, things start to fall into place for you financially.
Meanwhile with the mutual reception of Neptune (ruler) and Uranus rising, there is a veil of confusion and fog.
Fortuna speaks of support from ex-husband but again in the later degrees it's shaky (at least experienced that way by you at this point in time).
Ultimately, I think this chart is about increasing your income via the development of your skills and abilities, enthusiasm and interest more than support from others. It has a self-sufficiency feel about it to me.
The final aspect of the moon is inconjunct Jupiter in 8th--you get a helping hand from a third party--gets you on your feet until you kick in with that nodal energy!
Other comments?

Well I never thought I'd add be able to add anything to Kim's Horary analysis, but her comments on the north node reinforced what I saw when I looked at this chart: Mars (ruler of the second) in the third, with the Moon coming up to it.
The third house rules early education, all mental activity, written and verbal communications--telephones, newspapers, etc. Is there something you used to love to do when you were a child that you have stopped doing because of "practical considerations." Also, the third rules transportation--anything with buses, cars, tools and gadgets of any kind?
Hope this helps! Amoroso

dear Kim and Amoroso, thanks so much! <<<<Where is your North Node by house and sign in your natal chart? What is it that you feel the most enthusiasm to pursue? When you start developing the talents and aptitudes of your natal North Node, things start to fall into place for you financially. >>> my North Node is in 10th house in the last minutes of Pisces. ...(my tenth is ruled by Pisces), also conjunct Chiron, opposite Uranus. I have recently really struggling with what 'talent' I should be developing.. I consulted a psychic who told me she could see me as a 'receptionist'. Even as a metaphor this is a stretch for me to see! She went on to try and convince me that I'd have my own business, in an office environment...(ugh! last time I go see a psychic/medium during a storm/grand cross ;D).....I kept thinking she was picking up on past images...kept going on about tents and flags. Amoroso the third is my kinda house - as a child I wrote constantly, poetry, short stories (and when I wasn't writing I was reading - actually nothing has changed!)...(natal mercury at 0 gem, in 12 - sextile 3rd house Pluto and Jupiter, SN and Uranus in 4) I love writing... but my natal NN in Pisces - right on that AP, really, confuses me! Am I supposed to be a mystic? Venus and Chiron in the tenth confuse me...then I am completely in love with Archetypal Psychology, and would love to find a way to develop this - but the only place to study it is in the US. So I content myself with reading books and testing/sharing my learning on friends . So I am attempting to allow some new vision of who I am and what I have to contribute to enter into the picture... Meanwhile I realise I have tested the limits of my fear of poverty (I am a child of venus after all) and have affirmed the abundance in my life over and over - but things really must change now. I suppose I am on the cusp of testing my fear of success to its limit, and would really love to experience abundance that is less instantaneous, more enduring. Eek! sorry I really have bombarded you guys haven't I? breathing out now, PM

Dear PM, Archetypal Psychology would be a perfect expression of that Piscean energy! And all the other energies you described-Venus/Chiron in 10th, aspects to Pluto and Mercury, etc. OK, now you have my natal Neptune-Saturn semi-sextile going! (And Neptune is trine my Mars/Pallas conjunction, and Saturn is square my Mars/Pallas, so I do have the capacity to dream up stuff and then do the planning and hard work to make it a reality.) Have you seen The Center for Story and Symbol? www.folkstory.com/Come up with a plan where there are small goals and large goals. For example, research all your options for on-line education. It sounds like you are on the right track with self-study anyway, which, if you have four daughters, is the best way to study right now. Perhaps there will come a time when you can enter a formal degree program, and you may be able to pass out of some courses, or be given credit for life's experiences. (There are colleges and on-line programs that do this.) Practice giving "readings"--in whatever form interests you (astrology, counseling sessions, etc) with friends who support you. I have a friend who founded and ran a non-profit organization for 10 years until she gave it up to become a chakra healer. She has spent the past year and a half taking all sorts of classes and training programs, and asked me if she could practice on me. She is actually a wonderful healer, and has been a great help to me. Now she is ready to charge for her services, and start the process of building her own stamina and learning to do what she needs to do to protect herself from others' energy. You may have some writing and counseling skills that you could put into play right away. Let us know how this fits! Blessings, Amoroso

Hi Prima,
Very little is left here to write and nothing about your talents and skills to nurture.
Your natal NN is almost on aries point ? Well, you have draconic dose in every walk of life. You feel as if it had happened with everything you takeup and try to assess the earlier experience that is infact non-existent. As a result, your efforts to do better this time ultimately land you in confusion. Neptune in 12th of horary chart (acting on subconscious level) squaring Moon fits well with the current crisis.
Moon in Taurus suggest that you need be STEADY with whatever you do in raising the finances. The conjunction of 2nd lord Mars and Moon supplements the idea even further with all your physical energy converge for your current concern. Moon's semi-square to 2nd cusp is a good indicator for change of fortunes in near future. The key I feel is with Moon, the 3rd house and taurus. You may feel lack of initial thrust with both 2nd and 3rd cusps falling in initial degrees.
But never mind, engine must be ignited to drive the vehicle. Keep aside whatever you feel in retrospection and go ahead with the suggestions of Kim and Amoroso. You have a sure hit provided steady approach with no draconic coloring of management. Kim felt NN is a key too.
Wish you all success
Kris

Hi Everyone...happy new moon ;0
thanks Amoroso for your great suggestions - I checked out that site (great site!!!) and found a professor who teaches out of LaTrobe University - in another state but its in Australia - what a find! Yes, I'll just keep doing what I've been doing...its a good long term plan.
dear Kris, thanks for your comments... I had not thought of that NN as giving me a 'draconic dose in every walk of life' but its an interesting idea. I am sure that I don't look for a 'deja vu' or 'this has happened before' scenario but there is a feeling of things in general being 'fated' or fateful - although not in a backward causation sense. I am just aware of the synchronicity and symbolic meaning of all things in my life. You wrote; 'your efforts to better this time land you in confusion', I agree - there is an urge to do something 'great' and worthwhile so that ordinary things fall short, then I achieve very little. (well when I say very little I mean relative to my extraordinarily high expectation of myself)
I have sun in taurus so STEADY is not a problem for me, and I'm hoping that you are right that an income increase will begin sooner rather than later!
thanks again, and much Peace to you, pm

Dear Prima, I have been "meditating" (aka sleeping) on your quest vis-a-vis your NN, your horary chart and the psychic's "off" reading ... Pisces in the 10th would be confusing, indeed, with Saturn trying to make a tidy home for the flitting Fishes (I understand the feeling -- I have Cap rising with Sun/Moon/Merc in Pisces) ... But that 10th house placement seems like a steadying (and money-making) influence for the creativity of the NN ... Flash relating your natal NN in the "last minutes" of Pisces to the horary chart's 2nd house Aries: I am struck by the image (Kim's?) of the seed underground, pregnant with the energy of Pisces and all the other signs, ready to burst through into the light at the Aries Point ... It feels like the horary chart is saying: Go for it -- if you put the Martian energy of Aries (Confidence!) in service of your NN creative talents (writing), you will be well rewarded! Sounds like that psychic might have gotten short-circuited by the storm, lost her way and delivered a "logical," left-brain spin on what she saw ... Using just her words -- and relating them back to your natal chart -- I got a different picture of " receptionist" ... I mean, NN in Pisces would give you a tremendous amount of RECEPTIVITY ... "office environment" made me think of your being an official representative of some sort (writing for a satellite campus of an archetypal psychology program?) ... and "flags" suggests you might want to keep your eye out for signs that will lead you to the place/field ("tent"?) you belong in ... I SO wish you could attend the Pacifica Graduate Institute in California ... Maybe you're familiar with it? ... it's home to the Joseph Campbell Library and James Hillman's collected papers ... www.pacifica.edu/I participated in an Embodied Dream Imagery workshop at Pacifica a few months ago ... it was led by Robert Bosnak, a wonderful Jungian (and a Pisces), who lives in Sydney ... www.cyberdreamwork.com/rbosnak.htmlI feel so much creative energy coming out of Australia ... who knows -- maybe there's an Aussie Institute of Archetypal Imagery on the horizon and you are meant to help found it ... All my best wishes ... Jamma (Disclaimer: My remarks regarding the horary chart are purely intuitional, which I understand is a no-no in this type of astrology -- but for cryin' out loud, the chart has a Pisces Asc!)

dear Jamma I just logged in here to post about how my sister (a Piscean of course) had written to me about my resume (I'd forgotten that I'd asked for her help with it) and told me to throw it in the bin, set up a website and put my portfolio and writing up on it etc etc and that she is willing to help me with it all. I love my little sister! then I got an email from my former tutor in Creative Writing (at Uni) telling me that he has been wondering how I am and he is willing to give a glowing reference for me. and just now I read your post and I am blown away by the synchronicity of it all. wow. I think you may be right about the NN issue and its position in the horary (btw did I mention that the NN is approaching my natal venus at 10 aries? ).. thanks for your intuitions, I'll ponder those. Yes I've heard of Pacifica - would LOVE to go there! I've read pretty much everything that James Hillman has written and have everything else on order at my uni library! I hadn't heard of Robert Bosnak but now that I have I will check out that site and keep my ears peeled Must go and pick up my Saggo singing 10 year old now... Joy! pm

Jade, thankyou for your story! Yes, its true that faith and prayer can bring miracles into our lives...here's to that reprieve you need now!
I do indeed believe in a higher power - I am a fledgling alchemist. Alchemy embraces all spiritual disiplines, recognising that each system of belief is 'right' within its own bounds, and also part of one, multiple, universal system. (does that make sense?)
My favourite miracle making activity is to weed the garden - all the time repeating the mantra - "I'm making space for the miracle of...." There is an angel for each of us.. mine is Haziel, who the ancients related to the fixed star Spica. I studied Old Hebrew for a while so I picture the sacred name (the names of angels are in the 72 word name of God/ess) as I repeat it (heh zayin yod). I can honestly say that I have never really gone without anything I need, and my children always have everything that they need. My concern now is that I have lived so long relying on faith, and resources manifesting as and when needed - but would really like to have a constant flow of income so as not to have to.
So I am putting it out there to the Universe, the Field of Manifestation, that the need is now for a constant increase in income through my efforts as a working member of community... I am ready to move in from the edge!
Jade, thanks again for your encouragement - blessings on you! pm
