I am completely new to horary and don't even know how to get started here ... I didn't know it was possible to find things this way until I happened to stumble onto some of those threads ... First, I am wondering about how to cast a horary chart to find clips of my writing so I can put in some job applications ... the last published stories are from 1996, and I've moved 3 times since then ... The other "lost" thing is my husband's wedding ring ... the funeral home didn't receive it, and when I contacted the highway patrol, they said it was not on his finger when they responded to the accident ... I had never known him to take the ring off, but circumstances during the last few weeks of his life were so stressful that I wonder if he could have removed it for some symbolic reason ... or if someone at the accident scene might have stolen it ... or if, like one mystically-minded person suggested, my husband "took it with him" ... The question of the ring is so numinous (my heart is racing just from typing this) that I feel more comfortable starting with the newspaper clips ... How do I begin ... cast a regular "natal" chart for this moment in time and the place where I am now? Sorry for being so dense ... Jam

Hi Jamma,
In horary, the principle is one question at a moment. The question should cleary state your concern with no ambiguity therein.
Cast the chart and post it for the date, time, place and country wherefrom it is posed. If you cann't post the chart, give the details of date, time, place and country. We have some experts on this forum who can post the chart and they are always ready to help.
Good luck.

Hi Kris, I cast the chart about an hour ago ... 7 Nov 2005 10:12 p.m. Benicia, CA (USA) 122w09, 38n03
Asc is 2 Leo, with Moon at 5 Aquarius conjunct Dsc ... I figured Mercury would repsent my writing clips, and it's at 8 Sag in 5th, trine Saturn at 11 Leo in the 1st ... The MC is 19 Aries Mars is in the 10th, but in Taurus, conjuct P.Fort.
What do you think?? Thanks, J

Jamma,
WHAT IS THE QUESTION ?
The chart is useless unless casted with a definite, clear-cut question, only one question in mind.
You missed the importantance of question I pointed out on my earlier post but casted the chart. Does it address your concern. I doubt.
Shoot another horary question with clarity tomorrow. Remember TOMORROW. Not today.

Sorry, Kris ... my message was rushed because I saw you were online ... To clarify: I DID ask a specific question: "Where are my newspaper clippings" ... and I used "Clips" as the name in the chart ... Thanks ...

I have added two asteroids, mnemosyne (memory) and hermes (god of the crossroads, communication) to the horary chart I did for finding the clips of my newspaper articles ... How do I post the chart here? Thanks, J

aha ... figured out how to do the photobucket ... here is a link to the chart ... any comments would be very welcome ... the question I posed is Where Are My Newspaper Clippings (copies of what I have published) ... not having these has been a stumbling block (or excuse) in my ability to apply for jobs -- everybody wants clips. here is the link: i28.photobucket.com/albums/c238/jammajam/clips.gifThanks so much, J P.S. If anyone knows how to place the chart itself in the post, I'd be grateful to find out ...

Hi Jamma, I am out of time for the threads today but the quick answer is that the clippings are in the home or the place you USUALLY keep them or work with them (office or storage etc if not in the home). You will find them. Look first in the NORTH part of the house (or place where they are meant to be--office etc) then look LOW-ish N-by-E in that North room or area. Are these clippings about a marriage or artistic pursuit? The Moon was last over Venus. AGAIN, that's just a quick look at the chart. I'll get back to this tomorrow morning if I can!!! There is much more in this. Good luck! Kim

Hi Kim, Thank you! The clippings are from when I worked for a newspaper ... I edited the Food section, so they are about cooking rather than love or art (but see below)...
No luck in the North part of the house -- the living room, which doesn't have a lot of storage areas ... However, I will check the N part of what was supposed to become my art studio (Venus!) but which somehow turned into a catchall storage room ... it's filled to the gills, so looking in there will be something of an archaeological dig ... it's a "logical" spot for the clippings (although I've never been accused of depending too much on logic!); but it's also hardest for me to access with only one good arm to lift things ... at least now I can concentrate on one section of it ...
I was somewhat alarmed by the oppositions in the chart -- Sun (the ruler of the Asc -- me?) opposed to Mars and Mnemosyne conjunct the P.Fort. ... and Saturn in the 1st opposing both the Moon and Neptune ... Do these aspects count in Horary? Thanks again, Jam

These aspects do 'count' in horary, yes, but the question here is on a missing item and the chart becomes a map to find it--not so much a psychoanalysis. I suspect the grand cross (which comes up in all horary charts right now everybody!) is reflective of your difficulty searching (physically) and the distress of not knowing where they are or being able to put your hands on them.
With the sun and moon angular, I know you will find them...but it's a 'pain in the fixed cross' until you do!
Good luck.
Pity we can't drop by to help you look!
Kim
