Dear All,
I have asked a horary question regarding an upcoming performance of mine, and need to check which house would represent my concert.
I suppose the fifth house, as entertainments, would be appropriate, but I think the 11th house, as "gathering of like-minded people" might also work.
What do others think?

Hi Amoroso, The 5th house rules entertainment, performances and places of entertainment. Concerts and orchestras are ruled by Venus. The performance itself is ruled by the sun. Dose this help? Because the gathering is for 'entertainment purposes', it would be 5th house. If you were running a 'group' on how to put on concerts, that would be 11th. I'm curious now! Kim

Dear Amoroso,
Well, here both 5th and 11th come into picture since you have to run a group (11th) in an entertaining (venus) artistic (5th) program.
I vaguely remember your AC is Libra at a late degree. Venus is natural benefic for you as indicated by your profession and must be transiting your 2nd house now. Tranist Uranus I guess is in 5th and it's retrograde squaring venus in 2nd is responsible for the anxiety. I feel the concert starts in a slow and steady note since venus trines saturn (10th or 11th does not matter. both are equally benevolent in this regard) and ends in thumping uranus style. I feel saturn takes over because sat brought some good changes in your profession of late and the concert ends in uranus style since uranus is in mutable sign.
Any other ideas folks ?
regards Kris
PS: I ran horary question for the moment I wanted to respond to this post and found 5th lord Venus in 11th, Moon in Taurus (excellent signal for music), Sun,Jup and Mer in 10th. Capricorn was rising with Sat in 7th. Very nice alignment to make the concert a grand success.

Thanks Kim and Kris!
My question had to do with whether or not someone would attend the concert, and I am pretty sure the answer is no. The significators apply but they are past aspects.
I would post the chart but something has gone goofy with the ability to do that and I haven't taken the time to figure out the problem.
Yes, Kris, I was interested to note Sun at the MC and the other indicators for a nice program. Especially since that is the first day Mercury goes retrograde!

Dear Amoroso,
I got the actual question now.
I looked into the chart prepared yesterday. Saturn though in 7th is placed in a friendly sign. So saturn does not truely block the audience from attending the concert. The 7th lord, Moon is placed in taurus, a highly auspicious sign for music. Also, Moon in 4th suggest that the audience enjoy the concert to it's 'roots'. Saturn the AC lord in 7th show your corcern for others. Capricorn, the AC, being highly ambitious sign, your concern for audience is magnified with saturns' placement in 7th.
Fifth lord venus in 11 and sun,jup and mer in 10th are highly auspicious.
Near stationary mercury during day 1 of concert thrust intense feel to communicate with the audience. It is a period of challenge rather than problems. Yes.. mercury retrograde is known to slow down all matters related to communication but it is not necessarily negative by nature. Is it not very good to miss a unwarranted message ? It is suggested not to make major changes or take major decisions during mercury retrograde. You can easily take care it. Since the horary chart suggest the show to be a nice and successful one, mercury retrograde on the day of concert cann't and does not pose problems. Keep cool and and go ahead with your plans.
I wish you all success.
May be lunar eclipse in your natal 12th is playing a bit of emotional drama.
regards Kris

Hi Kris,
Your kind response reminded me how important it is in Horary to be specific, and I sure wish I could post the chart.
When I said "will someone attend the concert" I meant a specific individual, in this case, the person who I have referred to as "C" on Kim's forum.
I didn't make that clear when I asked the question because I am feeling rather vulnerable and even more secretive than usual about my feelings for this person, even though there really is no relationship right now. (other than the quantum level!)
Perhaps you are right about the lunar eclipse in my 12 house!
Ticket sales for the program are going well--a surprise to me but a good surprise!
Blessings, Amoroso

I should add that it is reservations that are being made in advance for the program, rather than actual ticket sales. The event is being sponsored by two arts' and cultural organizations in town so the event is free to concert goers.

Dear Amoroso,
The question I had in my mind aims at the "the audience and success of concert". Obviously the chart I erected cann't answer your concern.
It appears that you are influenced by transit Eros(he) Psyche(she) opposition. This contact is very potent to bring out the deeper feelings to merge and transform. The feel is especially intense if Eros Psyche contact touches any sensitive point in natal chart.
If you cann't vent out your feelings for 'C', you must take some extra care. The last Eros Psyche contact (opposition in Leo Aqu axis) during November 2004 was highly scandalous. Prior to this, Venus sailed across Suns' disk in Gemini at about 22 deg. This celestial event triggered passion on a mass scale. This was followed Eros Psyche trines from Gem Aqa. Lilith was also involved in close conjuct to Eros then. These three big events (I call it so) turned life upside down to some people (may be sensitive points are touched in their natal charts), innocents whose normal friendly approach was misunderstood and particularly the people for whom Venus was very strong sufferred humiliation due to scandals. Strangely the suffering is still fresh in the minds of people known to me.
The current Eros Psyche opposition occurs at a point very close to above three.
A sane person do not need advise. Somehow, I just want to caution you.

Believe it or not, I have been wanting to reply to Kris' last post her from October, 2005 for some time! For those of you who are new to the forum in the past 6 months, the forum is full of posts from me and Bodacious Babe, the name I began with, about my experience of Eros creeping into my life in the form of "C," and how the experience of knowing him blew me apart, healed me, and continues to be a huge force in my life even though I have not see or heard from him in a year and a half. Anyway, Kris wrote on this thread "If you can't vent out your feelings for 'C', you must take some extra care. Lilith was also involved in close conjunct to Eros then. These three big events (I call it so) turned life upside down to some people..." WELL!!!!! Venus sailing across the Sun at 22 Gemini took place on the Sun/Moon conjunction of C and me at 19/20 Gemini. The first Psyche/Eros opposition in November of 2004 was around 11-13 Leo/Aquarius. C has a Vesta/Ceres conjunction at 12/13 Aquarius in the 8th house conjunct my Chiron/Eros conjunction at 11 Aquarius in the 4th house, all opposing his BML at 10 Leo. The opposition took place on all this!!!!!! It was also exactly square (in his natal) my last name asteroid in his 5th House Scorpio. In C' Eros Return of that year, the opposition took place on his Solar Return Neptune and was exactly square his vertex in the 5th. (My last name asteroid was exactly opposed his Venus/Pluto conjunction.) In my Eros return, the Psyche/Eros conjunction was exactly on my Eros/Mercury/Neptune in 12th Aquarius. In our composite chart, the opposition was on Mars/Pallas. In the progressed composite, that opposition was on Juno in th 5th and square our Mercury opposition Sun/Moon conjunction in the 8th. The second Eros/Psyche conjunction that Kris mentioned has equally as many contacts. By the way, transiting P was opposite our Sun/Moon conjunction at the same time. This was not lust or love but some BIG BANG which brought something to life here, and I do believe it was me. To say I am in love with C is to say that water is wet. Kris, you were so "right on" it's not funny. The last thing you said in the post was "a sane person need not advise." Well, with those transits, the sane person was definitely not me! Blessings, Amoroso
