Dear Kim,
Thanks for that run down. First of all, I am puzzled why it did not occur to me to show you this chart from the end of May, the one you just analyzed. Here it is again for ease of comparison to the one posted further down..

The question in this first chart was "WILL I hear from C regarding the letter," and it was asked within a week after sending him the letter. My friend basically came up with the same answer you posted, although she used the seventh house ruler and it seems a very complex system. She looked to the ruler of the third house cusp and to Mercury, to see if I would hear from him. In her explanation, the Sun has no dignity being in the 12th and no aspects to the moon, so she looked at Mercury. Mercury is in Gemini, its own sign.It is in the 12th, showing hidden communications, or communication that may come in secret or about secretive things. The moon applies to Mercury by quintile and also applies to Jupiter by a trine, and she called Jupiter the almuten of my first house. Therefore, she thought I would hear from him and the communication would be friendly in nature.
She also added that Mercury rules the 4th and 12th house cusps, so Mercury is ruling the end of the matter. Using the 7th house ruler makes Saturn and the Moon apply in a trine, too.
There is something else very interesting that she noted about the chart. She uses Solstice points and said that Mercury's solstice point is Cancer 24 and Saturn's is Gemini 6, so Mercury (communication) and Saturn (him) are bound by the anticia. Another indication that he will communicate.
When I wrote to Kim asking WHEN I would hear from him, I did so because I was basically confused by this friend's answer to the above posted chart. Once again, it seemed to me that things could be interpreted to fit what you wanted to hear, and since I trust Kim, I went to her with this chart:

Now, the time has come and gone for the indicators for this chart, and I have not heard from him. That is why I am wondering if the questions are too related and I have somehow diluted my answer.
My reaction to a simply "friendly" response from C in regards to the letter would not be reflected in the Moon-Venus square of the first chart. I also would not be "stressed" if he wrote "You are a great teacher and I will always remember you." or even no response at all. The response that could reflect that square would be "I feel the same way and what are we going to do about it?" I've thought about this enough to know that the response I "want" is the one the would cause me the most distress!!!! After all my moaning on this forum since October.......
I even cast a horary to see if my marriage would survive if C and I "communed." The point being, I am at another point where the urgency is enough to have me reopen and re question. But isn't that what Mercury Retrograde is all about?
Kim, can we revisit that second chart and see what is to be concluded? And does anyone have any comments about the way my friend interpreted the first chart?
Thank you all much,
Blessings,
Amoroso
