Any comments on this topic for Horary?
This question was prompted by Mar's chart, in which Svenskasfinx used Pluto as Scorpio's ruler and Mar used Mars. (he he, Mar used Mars....)
Does one use both, as in so many other cases, like using both Saturn and Uranus for Aquarius, or Jupiter and Neptune for Pisces?

Hi all,
Traditional rulership was designed at a time Uranus, Neptune and Pluto could not be visualized for one reason or other. I find modern rulership holds strength.
I know a couple of girls with Venus in Aqu talk eloquent and non-stop. One is Capricorn and the other is Taurus both of which does not support eloquency. Very often the freedom (Aqu) with with they speak is mistaken for love. The flash of love belong to Uranus and Saturn no, a definite no.
Insanity and spasticity are found with heavy focus on Pisces. I find a case of insanity with badly afflicted Moon in Pisces. Though Jupiter at the base of the chart in own own sign is proctective, insanity progressed with time. Neptune conjunct Jupiter as well. Neptune ruling Pisces is justified.
I am not very sure if Pluto could rule Scorpio but it is highly supported by many workers.
Switching on to modern rulership I find answers to some nagging questions.
Theory of Aquarius Age with a revolution of communication, internet etc. Uranus gained too much of strength being in own sign Aqu, I believe.
AND finally, sitck to either of rulerships and not both for horary because traditional rulership lords are relatively fast moving. Aspect considerations produce widely differing results that mislead the judgement. I prefer modern rulership for both natal and horary.

Thanks for that rundown, Kris. I do think it is important to acknowledge, even at the expense of simplicity, that there are duel rulerships. Mercury rules both Gemini and Virgo Venus-Taurus and Libra Mars rules both Aries and Scorpio Jupiter both Sagittarius and Pisces Saturn both Capricorn and Aquarius Aquarius is ruled both by Saturn and Uranus Pisces by both Jupiter and Neptune Scorpio by both Mars and Pluto. It makes both natal and horary more complex yet I don't think it is a case of "either/or". I think it is a case of BOTH. You will find astrologers that stick to one or the other, and I do respect that. I look at both because I think the duality is significant, especially when it comes up in horary. What do others think? Kim
