I have a fairly common question familiar to those who study numerology... There seems to be two schools of thought in regards to personal years...some believe the personal year begins at the start of the calendar year (Jan. 1), whereas others believe that it begins and ends from one birthday to the next... For example, my birthday is July 17... 7+1+7=15...you then bring everything down to a single digit number...so 1+5= 6 You then add the number derived from your month and day of birth to the current year... 2006= (2+6) 8 6+8= 14 (1+4) = 5 So 2006 would be a 5 year for me...5 personal years are said to coincide with years of change and the unexpected...lots of coming and going...movement...freedom, etc. 5 personal years are the antithesis of 4 personal years, which are very much about hard work, responsibility, limitations, and laying foundations... This brings me to my question directed at those who have followed numerology throughout their own lives...when do you feel that the personal year vibration kicks in for you?!... Since I have a birthday that falls in the middle of the year, I'm always left to wonder if my personal year begins in January or six months later at the time of my birthday?!? Lately, I've been inclined to say that my personal years begin at my birthday...but I'm curious to know how other people feel about this tricky question?! Looking forward to any and all responses!

Hi Luna, I use the birthday, so I would say your new '5' year starts then. (my new '9' years starts today!) This is about freedom and change, and I like what Jade wrote about creativity and discipline...think 5th house, Leo, Sun! 9 years are about change to, of a different kind (think tower, death, Uranus & Pluto)...Uranus is on my SR Ascendant, Pluto conjunct my SR MC....buckle up Kimchi! Does anyone else work with numerology? I'm only passingly familiar. Kim

Hey everyone...I have worked some with numerology in the past.
Wow Kim...the 9 year is a tremendous one of change!! There is none like it I believe. Then the following year seems blissful as the changes are settling and the newness begins it's cloak! It would seem that your SR astrology is concurring with that Uranus on your ASC! WHOA! This is exciting!
JadeII-I have that book and it is VERY FASCINATING! One of the things I liked about the book is that it broke down your personal 'quotient number' of sorts into lessons you are here to learn. It is a fabulous guide and very thought-provoking!! It is one book I turn to again and again when re-directing myself or understanding personal paths.
Overall, just like astrology, it is important to be selective with which materials you read. Some books are better than others but I can definitely vouch for the strength of the numbered 'years'!!
My love's personal number is 11 and oddly enough, his state medical license adds up to the number 11!! Of course! Totally random....and he is a huge success!!
I will have to look up my year ahead....it will be a 7 year. And, I always use my birthday as the beginning of a cycle. It is a personal cycle and corresponds with what is happening with you!

Hello Jade.....Yes, it is a book which makes me slow down to THINK about what the possible (most certainly) paths may be which I need to master. When I looked up other friends, I found that it seemed to match well with how their personality came across and where their strengths lie. The writings seem to cause me to ask the question...and think about how I can better reach down or reach out for that particular gift or wisdom needed to continue on the journey. Sometimes, it will challenge me to see 'reality' and where I need to be working harder....just as a base personality challenge. Does this make sense? The questions they ask at the end of each section are ones to ponder and are not always easily answered. It is an interesting book for sure! The 4 year has always been a toughie for me.....lots of challenges which seem almost Saturn-like. You are two months into it and hopefully more structure is coming with ease to you. Creating new paths in this life is always an adventure and at times, daunting. Though 4 is not exactly in the middle of the 9 year cycle, it always felt like a 'hump' year of sorts to me!! What do you think? Hugs- GemStar

Ahhh.....in the case of a small office, those things are normal I am afraid. If the doctor is not seeing patients, there is no income coming in for the overhead. Therefore-no income that week to pay the staff. Technically, an employer is under no obligation to pay a worker if there is not work to be done (ex. office is closed). If the hours are not clocked, the employer does not have to pay. Definitely keep looking for a better job. This time find one at a bigger office perhaps, where there is more than one person bringing in the income, because there will be less of a chance that the office will 'close' for that week, thereby forcing an unpaid vacation on it's staff. I am sorry to tell you that this is pretty standard small business practice. On the bright side, try and be happy that an exception was made for you! Your lucky stars are shining on you and be satisfied that you fought for this extra money. Getting upset at the employer will not do you any good....and wastes a lot of energy. Go and find another job where you feel more valued and respect the business practices of the owner. There is also a Grand Square forming in the skies from 5/31-6/12 between Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and Chiron. I feel that there will be more pressure in a negative way possibly with lots of people.....breathe deeply and let out your frustration. It is not personal. Hugs- GemStar

Wow. That is good news for you! I didn't know that unemployment worked that angle too! I thought you had to be officially terminated from your position to file for benefits!! Ok...well, there you go!
Still, it is always good to keep your ears open for a better job where you receive a salary and do not have to worry about being paid or your vacation taken whenever the 'boss' takes off!!
Thanks for the update!

I just wanted to share an experience I had that showed me when the new year number came into effect. I had read that, just as the solar return, the temporary vibrations of numbers overlap by about 3 months. My b-day, 9-4-54=32/5. In 1999 I had a 41/5 year. On June 19, which was a 53/8 universal day we went to the B-93 Bash and saw Alabama. On the way out I stopped at the restroom and right there in front of me in the bathroom stall wastebasket was $41 neatly folded on top. Now normally I would have tried to find the owner but there were at least 1500 people and many had already left so I decided this was a gift to me to show me clearly that the new number comes in 3 months prior.
