Hello everyone... I'm posting my sr chart for comments from everyone as it falls on the due date for my baby as well, and Saturn there on the ASC opposite Neptune on the DSC poses some questions...although I'm finding them hard to articulate at this point! as Kim always points out, and I truly believe, Energy Follows Thought - so I am choosing to look at Saturn/ASC in a positive light... also of note in this chart is that the moon is very close to my Natal moon, itself returning within hours of the Solar Return..

jeepers, everyone must be really feeling this Saturn-Neptune... not to mention the long long void of course moon of the past two days.... anyway, it occured to me that with Venus in Aries she must be about to return so I ran the chart: the chart is in fact spookily similar to last year's! of note is that the Ascendant is exactly conjunct my Natal Midheaven... so another year in which my tenth house (where Venus is found in my natal chart) is brought to the fore.... I'm not sure I did anything with it last year... I certainly have experienced the Saturn-Venus which is conjunct my MC by progression... but again?? that Leo moon about to conjunct Saturn (Blueorchids!!) in the fifth may be the birth of this little girl I'm carrying - I wonder! I'm counting on Jupiter's blessings to keep us both safe... And I can't help but wonder if in fact the baby will be an Aries, rather than Taurus (her due date is my Solar Return)... does anyone here have any experience with predictions from Return Charts? I read an article which insists that events will occur with transits to the Return Chart... and another article which treats the SR or VR as an horary chart and applies all those traditional rules... if so, then what are the significators? any and all help appreciated pm

Hi Prima - I didn't realize that you're expecting a baby - how exciting! Is it your first? I don't know much about how these returns work other than what I've read - haven't played with them enough to see how they work in prediction. But I did have a few thoughts as I looked at your SR chart...
It seems to me that Saturn on your Asc in your SR chart points to your more serious role as a mother. Not serious as in dour! But serious as in being responsible for the love and care of a child. In Leo, that's taking love seriously. With Neptune on the Dsc, you may find that you have to let intuition guide you in dealing with the other (partner? or also the baby?). Tried and true things may not work, so intuition and imagination may offer alternatives. You may have to trust the universe on that end, while saving the Saturn in Leo self-respect and love for maintaining your center. The Jupiter in Sag trine/sextile offers a nice dose of luck and intuition as well!
Pluto on the 5th cusp looks like the birth or the child has a powerful generative effect in your life, and it's sextile the Moon - you as a mother - in balanced Libra. I'm not really sure how that Venus opp Pluto plays in, but it does give a nice trine to the Moon. The Moon, the mother, does seem to be very important in this chart.
Others here may have more thoughts on how things play out. As you mentioned, transits to the return charts are supposed to be significant. Do you see any significant ones coming up?

Great stuff everyone has already said, I would add that the fifth house ruler of children is in the 4th here ....Jupiter in the home--expansive growing role for your household. The LIBRA MOON sextiles closely Pluto and I think along with the spirituality of th house Neptune conjunct Chiron says it will be an amazingly intense growth period for relationships with self and others. The Chiron/Neptune suggests shifts and growth perhaps with the babe's dad?. The Moon Pluto I see as powerful you. The air trine of Gemini Venus, Aqua Neptune and Libra Moon suggests an ease and flow in these changes. I think they will be deep and productive but welcome and graced with a certain fluidity. Saturn on the Ascendant for me has been/was a good time but one extremely demanding one where I felt very hard pressed focused on my work and responsibilities and what the world and others wanted from me. It was a bit like having a cold steady hand on my neck that would turn my head to focus on the task at hand when I wanted to be daydreaming. Unfortunately I also had a easily distracted Pisces Moon in my SR which tugged at my heart strings and attention at the same time. Saturn and Neptune both wanted their due so it was a balancing act to say the least! LOL..... It was a good year but one where I was loyally ascetically pushed to stay on track. This seems entirely dead on given your pending birth. I wish you so well and all good things!! PS: Prima if you put up the natal, perhaps we can also overlay and give help on the full picture. I hesitate to put too much emphasis on the houses without seeing where everything falls on the natal chart.
