Hi Kim!
I have another Return chart question.
This yr I hv Pluto smack dab on the IC. It is in a 6deg orb conj w/ the Moon.
I know that Pluto on the IC usually portends a disruptive move in homes.
What are the other possible manifestations of Pluto on the IC? Does this always mean that there will be a move? (Note: I do not own my home, I am not purchasing one, nor am I redecorating).
Also, the fact that Pluto opposes my MC, does that hv meaning as well?
Here is my data: October 9, 1974 4:27 PM current location - Atlanta, GA, birth location - Clifton, Illinois
Thank you

Dear Soljourney,
I think Pluto on the IC can mean that there is the energy for a massive transformational shift at the fundamental psychological core of your being. Yes, the 4th house can mean the home, but that is still a metaphor for "where you reside." The natural opposition to the MC means that your outer image can change to match what you have shifted on the inner level.
Aspects to Pluto in your return can help you get a more conscious grasp of what this may mean. Does this make any sense?
Blessings, Amoroso

Hi Sven! Okay, thank you for puttin my chart up, but Return chart is for Clifton, Ill. My current location is Atlanta, GA which would put the Pluto on the IC.
The long/lat for Atlanta is 84.23W 33.44N
Thanks again!

I'm still under the debate of using the current location vs the birth location.. and recently with a change of events.. if you are doing a relocation chart, then I would say.. totally yes, but I used the Natal location because it Always applies-- and Kim uses it. (but I'm not blaming her) I posted it as I thought she may read it, and follows a certain ideal, I can try to post it using the relocation if you like.. but after.. not replace it.. OK?

I use the birth place for all returns. It's just what works best for me, unless, like Sven said, read the relocated SR against the relocated natal. I prefer working with the birth place. I would associate SR Pluto in the 4th house or IC (which you have in the case above) along with the Moon/Eros, with potent energy for substantial and radical change of lifestyle. It's house cleaning time--and not in a small way. Here you have endings (in the house of endings) and I would read that as the end of manipulation, of emotional blackmail, of not being authentic or saying what you want or who you are. This is a profound time for you and the changes you will go through will have long reaching effects--your home, your emotional responses, your sense of emotional stability, your relationship to your parents (living or dead) your relationship to your country of origin, your ancestors, your roots...all this and more is re-aligning so that you can stop being what people expect you to be and become more of who you are--authentic, whole and complete. That's how it strikes me. Kim

I forgot to add to this post that in my current Solar Return Chart, I, too, have Pluto in the 4th, near the IC. In my relocation chart, Pluto sits right on the IC in the third house.
Yes, this year has seen a radical shift of EVERYTHING and I don't think the fun has stopped! Painful, with many creative highs and lows and inner and outer challenges. But ultimately for the Higher Good. I might add that in my natal chart I recently realized that Pluto and Saturn are heavily tied together. (Pluto/Jupiter conjunction in the 10th house--a heavy inheritance from Ma that I did not understand until recently because she and I are extremely close--Saturn in Scorpio , and a Pluto-Saturn Square, plus Saturn is transiting my 10th house right now.) Ouchie. Pluto on the IC partially means that I am fashioning the restrictive, heavily serious nature of these energies into tools of great inner strength.
I find it also interesting that in my solar return, Pluto on the IC is in opposition to the last name asteroid of the person who awakened Eros in me this year, (or I should say, awakened Eros and then poured caffeine down His throat to keep Him awake!) and in my progressed chart, Pluto is conjunct this same name asteroid! So look at the progressed chart, too, to find themes from the SR.
I guess I wrote a lot on this topic because it is one I have been looking at, too.
Hope this helps

Hi Amoroso,
I have this placement in my natal chart and the best way to sum this up is, experience has taught me - 'words have power'
hope you're doing ok in this strange astro weather!

Thanks, Prima. Funny, that phrase "words have power" is one I use with my children!
That placement of Pluto on the IC in the third seems to be an echo of my natal Sun and Mercury in 8th house Gemini. Hummm. Better use it or lose it, huh.

My brand new SR has Pluto in 3 on the IC too! Echoing natal Sun and Mercury in 8 too! Making a sextile to both Venus and Jupiter in 1. Synchronicity and being authentic in relationship/communication. Thanks for all your insights!
