Hi all I realize what Kim said might be very interesting to look at ie my partners solar return and my mars return fall on the same day - his birthday on the 15th may when uranus is conjunct mars. I don't know which locations to use as at that time he is going to be in san diego (somehow seems significant as he is never normally that far away) this more or less puts all the planets into the opposite house to where they would be if I used his birthplace (Rome). If i use the place I will be in Spain the ascendent changes from scorpio to libra, the uranus mars conjunction moves form the 4th to the 5th house, chiron moves from the 3rd to the 4th and jupiter moves from the 11th to the 12th - also with my birthplace location the moon neptune axis is conjunct the mc/ic whilst in Spain chiron conjucts the IC? My partner's solar return is earlier than my mars return - the only planet that moves is the moon - we both have it opposite neptune in mine that aspect is tighter and in a t square to the sun which falls in the 7th - oh dear. But it woudl fit as we will both be so busy with new stuff - me studying art and him setting up new offices that I am sure keeping us chugging along day to day without problems will require more energy In his solar return the sun is only squared by the neptune. In my partner's solar return the mars uranus conjunction falls either on his ascendent (san diego) or in the 8th (Rome). In this chart there are two yods - in the san diego chart one of them falls in the 10th house (other in the 7th)- he will be putting alot of energy into developing an office in Rome this year that would fit but in the Rome chart the sun is inthe 10th anyway- help which one should I look at? Have tried to attach the charts but can't - my mars return is at 6.47pm 15th May. As mine is work energy I am not sure how to read it really Mar

Hi Kim
have printed out some of the info from your return link so will look at it over the weekend - am sure the mars conjuct urnaus will be useful with all our changes in the next couple of years - will jsut have to see where to use it all usefully - the conjunction falls in my 4th or 5th house depending on which chart I use - btw my partner's birthdate is 15 may 1965 rome at 6.10pm (5.10pm universal time) mar

These are interesting returns. When Svenskafinx has a spare moment ( ) she may post the returns for us. Her photo-bucket site works wonderfully. If not, I'll get to it as soon as I can. Where do we "put" the solar return? Birth place? Relocation? Visiting country? There is debate among astrologers as to which is "correct". I use the birthplace, no matter what--just like we do with progressions. It works for me. Some will use relocation but then you really need to read it back against the relocated natal chart. Going on a holiday for your birthday (or business trip) and using that location doesn't seem to work. A few say it does, so you really have to work it out for yourselves. I went nuts with it when I was learning returns until I found the birth place worked and worked well. The others may too, but if you start to go back and forth, compare and contrast...it gets very confusing. Pick a method and stick with it. You can change to a different method in time, but when you are learning I recommend you use the birth place, no matter what and read it against the birth chart. Remember, returns are transit charts and must be read BACK to the natal. They don't really stand alone, our of context. I'll comment further when there is more time and we get the charts posted. Warmly, Kim

Mar's Husband's solar return chart: It is very interesting because of the opposition to the Mars/Uranus conjunction in Virgo; whoa! Stunning! Interesting example!

Mar! I'm going to need your birth information in order to compare your Mars Return to your natal chart. I need it to give me a place as well. Thanks svenskasfinx

Hi Svenskasfinx thanks so much for posting the chart - howd'ju do that? It is good to see them both together and yes - mega energyful with the mars uranus natal opposite the mars uranus solar return. Mars must be a big theme for us for the next year or so because my mars return is on the same day and my own solar return has mars in aquarius in the 12th house conunct chiron both conjunct the ascendent. As transisting uranus is passing over my mars chiron 5ht house conjunction in my natal chart this year it would figure that those themes would be prominent. In my mars return the mars uranus conjunction is in the fifth and my natal mars is also in the fifth so am hoping this means loads of creative energy for my new post grad art degree - and some left over for the kids and being romantic too my birth date is 25 march 1962 Liverpool england at 18.25 universal time (19.25 local time) thanks again for postingthe chart all the best Mar

Kim thanks for the info on which location to use - I think that the birth location sounds more logical so have gone with that - will look soem more at the charts - am finding it pretty amazing that the mars themes seem to be so strong in all of the charts - both my partner's and mine. Mar

Thanks for that Mar! Here's the Natal chart: And the Mars Return Chart: Sorry I'm in a rush and don't have much to add as far as commentary now, but I added various asteroids I like to work with..(goodness I wish there was more room for more than 10 extra!) The asteroids have little clues to things I really like that for example Asteroid number 30 Urania on the ASC of the Natal chart- I get a clear impression that astrology is a very interesting thing for you! Not only that but MUSIC! Asteroid number 27 Eutrope at the top of this chart..in the 9th house..in Gemini. I can only guess you have some interest.. Anyway I'll try to post instructions once again in one of the sections of this Forum.. I get the feeling I give bad instructions oh well.. take care, svenskasfinx

Wow thanks for all this Svenskasfinx - sorry but I made a mistake in writing the mars return time as it should be 5.47 pm - duh Yes I do find astrology interesting and the music asteriod is interesting too. At university I started a music club with my best friend and we organized gigs etc for new bands. Are you a magazine fan - thought maybe you are from the Howard Devoto quote? they used to be one of my fav groups. Do you thin hte fact that my mars return is on the same day as his solar return that my eregy is going to be in harmony with the issues he faces in the next year? We certainly have had a shift to a deeper understanding recently since I had the solar eclipse on my venus in March. In the mars return chart the things I can see that strike me are the mars uranus conjunction in the 5th and the two grand trines - one venus 8th, jupiter 12th and chiron 4th and then moon 10th, pluto 2nd north node conjunct DC. Perhaps this mean a huge spreading of my energies with a facility to use them together in these houses. My partner also has the venus jupiter chiron grand trine in his solar return . He has venus and jupiter both in the 7th natally so perhaps this trine will work in our relationship for him and mean easy communication as it is in air? That would be fun. -mar

Hi all! Thanks Svenskafinx for posting the charts. You are wonderful!
I was going to say, there is something amiss as the Mars return must have the exact same degree and minute of Mars as the natal (the moment of exact return). I did it quickly and found 22 Libra 13 rising--Mars must be 10 Pisces 32' 16".
This means a very important next 2 years as it repeats the natal Ascendant! Look at that Ma/Ur square Venus in the 8th. I am thinking your creative energy is going to take some surprising, revolutionary turns! I've got visions of the awakening of the dark feminine in all her creative glory!
More on these charts as time allows.
Warmly, Kim

Hi there! If you take a look now the chart is (probably) fixed ! Its in the same space as the old one.. Mar- 9th house (higher education- university) Eutrope I should have known!! I love MAGAZINE!!! (enough with my outburst there) I saw Howard Devoto recently (March 2004) in Manchester with Pete Shelley, John Cooper Clarke, and Mark E Smith.. and a member of "Secret Public"- a Buzz C- O-CKs fan club. (the forum censor doesn't allow for the band name typed as is I just noticed) I am a great fan of that area of music I thought your musical taste would reflect SOMETHING personal to me, but I didn't know what-- your asteroid is up there right up on my ASC and Mercury. I'm still impressed... there are many interesting placements, and yes, strongly creative ones as Kim says . Must be going, more later, svenskasfinx
