Hi Kim, Thank you for your reply to my last post. It helped me put things in perspective. It also gave me a good laugh - I thought, she must think I'm a real piece of work! ;D Okay, got it. One question at a time. What can I expect from a mars return? Specifically in the seventh house. I've searched for some info on this but have yet to turn up anything that helps. How's that! See! Us taurus' are a little slow but sooner or later we catch on! Thanx tara

Hey Tara, No! I wasn't thinking you were a piece of work! We are meant to express stuff here. I just get a bit swamped sometimes...I am sure the note in the introduction will make it easier for me now! What can I expect from a mars return? First up, have you read my article on RETURNS? I realize the sample is a solar return yet the general approach and techniques are the same for all planets. www.nrg.com.au/%7Ed-falcon/Returns.htmGo through the basics outlined there with your natal and return chart in front of you! Always, compare the return back to the natal. The Mars return is about out drive to assert our will, work, make progress, do things. It’s active energy, through and through! “MARS returns every 2 years and the chart for that moment in time generally reflects work, healthy aggression and energy drives.”<br> So, check the 7 steps I have listed and make some notes as you go. A picture of the next two years through the eyes of Mars will begin to emerge. Step six is: 6. Place the return planets in the natal chart and read as a transit chart, then put them back in the return chart to interpret as the outcome of those transits. With Mars in your 7th house, you may feel a shift of power in relationships. You may want to be the boss! This is the house of socially significant relationships and Mars here is energy ready to burn! You’ll want to tango! (metaphorically or otherwise!) Others may point you in the right direction for new work or opportunities. Listen to them! A relationship could become more work oriented! John Townley wrote a great little book on planetary returns called “Astrological Life Cycles”, Destiny Books, 1987. He talks about the Mars return being a two year “work-energy” cycle with the return a time of “renewed interests and new directions. It gives an energy boost that often marks a change in job status…” Run through the 7 steps and then let me know what you discover. Where is your natal Mars in Cancer? What house and what aspects does it make? All that natal energy is getting a wake up call! Hope this gives you a starting point! Warmly, Kim
