The discovery of Xena As I correctly understood Xena is the name given by two astronomers who have discovered this 'female warrier'. The name Xena is a nowadays name, not a mythological one, like halfgods as Hercules or Achilles. But invented for television, played by Lucy Lawless(Lawless is a good name for a female warrier, making her own laws ). All other names in astrology for planets and asteroids have a mythological name like Pluto, the god of the underworld,on his black throne, like Mercury, the messenger of the gods, like Mars(in Greek called Ares),the wargod, like Sedna, the seegoddess of the Inuit etc. What do you think:is this the 10th planet or an asteroid, has the name value for its energy, will her energy already be felt,or are we not yet attuned to her vibes yet?Are there already famous astrologers who gives information about it(i.e.Liz Greene or Robert Hand)? Well,I think you have got the idea.I really don't know what to think of her,and i cannot find info about it on the net,but very curious about ideas and info about Xena, especially about if and what known astrologers have said about it

Hi Legolas, Thanks for bringing this up this important topic. I have a link to astronomer Dr. Michael Brown's site regarding the discovery of 2003 UB313 by Brown, Trujillo, Rabinowitz on my main page. www.nrg.com.au/~d-falcon/Eros.htmI will add one to the new "LINKS' thread today if I have time. Please Note: the body will not be named Xena. That name was never proposed... The real name of the new planet is currently in limbo.
The name "Xena" is frequently heard associated with this planet; this name comes from an internal cod name that we used before we publicly announced the existence of the planet. . . We use these names internally simply because they are easier to say and remember than things like 2003 EL61 or S/2005 (2003 UB313) There is no chance whatsoever that these will become the permanent names of these objects! Dr. Brown has thus far suggested indigenous peoples mythological figures for his discoveries and they have been approved. (Sedna, Quaoar) Read the full article and current information on this body via the link on my main page (Sedna Has Company) It's way too soon to do more than speculate and gather information. But that is ALWAYS worth doing!!! Kim

This clarifies a lot,
So, -It is discovered by three astronomers. -Xena and other names are only used because these temporary names are easier than the codes. -Brown considers it to be a planet, but scientifically it is not determined yet and it will be difficult because there is no clear rule to determine if it is an asteroid or planet. -The official name will probably be a Greek or Roman mythological name, but it can last a while before an official name is given.
Well, first want to watch what name it is given. This will reveil the influence of this planet,i believe. Just as Pluto was the right name given in 1930,it's Greek mythological name matches with the influence of the planet!Vox Dei,vox populi!
But it will be interesting if it is considered to be a planet,it will be than another transpersonal planet. And probably humanity will be ready than to use her energy! But yes it is speculation. Also red on your site about the Galactic centre and 2012.This is really interesting.Hope you come up with more insights about this all soon.

That's a great summation, Legolas. Thanks! And yes, I want to write more on the galactic center. I need to shift time a bit first though! Kim

It would be great to have some of everyone's ideas on what the planet should be called...
I am hoping for a Sumerian mythological name... definitely feminine, not so sure about the female warrior theme which is circulating with that silly 'xena' nickname - such an idea should not have so much power! Besides, we don't need another patriarchal daughter in our pantheon, we have Pallas Athene and Artemis. Apparently there are astrologers out there who think the name will stick, and that the idea of a 'created' (made for tv!) deity is very 'now'. Scary.
...and I do believe that the one female energy that is missing, well - hidden and despised - is the divine feminine Sophia/Binah/Shekinah/ 'the pregnant virgin'. which is the primal 'source' intelligence... from which we all come.
ok off my soapbox now! peace, pm

Thanks for that, PM. It's good to express these concerns. Don't worry about Xena! She won't be named that, you can trust Dr. Brown's word. He's into indigenous mythology--Inuit, native American and the like. The name has to be approved by the astronomic committee and I do feel we can trust the universe to synchronize the new bodies name with what is waking up in the collective--whatever that may be! Kim

I'm glad that you think so Kim, it really would be a tragedy otherwise.
Yes, you're right that we can trust that whatever name 'they' come up with is perfectly in line with the collective's needs at this time.
Does anyone know when we can expect the announcement?

Here's my two cents: How about Inanna? Although I also love Sophia -- Wisdom. But if it is to be an indigenous name (um, aren't ALL these names indigenous to Earth?), what about a Native Hawaiian name? Or Australian Aboriginal? ... or Maori ... or, or, or ... ?? Jam

PM, You can refer to Dr. Brown's site for current NEWS on the naming of this and other bodies. There is a link from my main page, and in the Links section of the forum. Kim

In looking at transits to and from Planet X in my chart I noticed it prominant when relationships came and went in my life, especially legally. It resides in my 9th. It was prominant when I was taken away from my mother, got married, etc. The nodes were often active also. X is 4* square nodes natally. X conjuncts my 1st husbands node almost exact. I get the strong feeling X is connected to Libra.
Do the activities in the world since its discovery support a Libra connection ?

Thanks for your question Aquarianessence,
I think we are a long way from knowing what sign or meaning to attribute to planet x, though your insights are quite interesting. I wonder if being in the 9th, (legal connections) has something to do with this.
As with any new body, we need time and much research to gain an understanding...we certainly need a NAME to start with.
Hopefully, that will be announced soon.
Kim
