Hello all, I usually look for the tightest connections in a synastry. But there`s a case, which puzzles me a bit, because there`s a wide orbed Venus-Mars-conjunction, which is part of a stellium, and I don`t know if that counts as a conjunction or not. His Venus is conjunct my Mars by 8° (his Venus is also parallel my Mars by 00°09). The involved planets are: His Juno: 02° Sagittarius My Amor: 02° Sagittarius My Mars: 05° Sagittarius My AC: 07° SagittariusHis Cupido: 07° Sagittarius His AC: 09° Sagittarius my True Node: 10° Sagittarius My Neptune: 10° Sagittarius his Venus: 13° SagittariusIt seems to me like one big knob of planets and asteroids. And I wonder if the Venus-Mars-conjunction may be "working" despite the rather wide orb. Comments, anyone, please? Darkdreamer

Dear DD, All those planets and asteroids are considered "conjunct." As a matter of fact, the ancients considered aspects by SIGN, so that Venus at 6 Cancer was opposed to Mars at 22 Capricorn. My husband's Venus is 27 Aquar. and my Mars is 4 Pisces. Believe me, they are conjunct.... Amoroso

Dear Amoroso,
thank you for your reply. I`m always confused if I shall use wide or tight orbs. There seem to exist so many different opinions regarding that matter. But yes I think, I feel the impact of that aspect. Well, at least those times when I`m not busy trying to run away. ;D It`s been one up-and-down "I love you - I love you not"-thing. But even though I`ve tried to cut the ties, it seems impossible for me to forget him. Well, there`s also a little bit of Eros-Psyche-action between us in the Draconic charts and the Davison chart. My natal Eros is conjunct his Draco Psyche (orb: 0°02) My Draco Eros is opposite his natal Psyche (orb: 3°00) And in the Davison chart we have a wide Eros-Psyche-conjunction (orb: about 7°), with the Node falling onto the midpoint of Eros and Psyche. Also synastrically we have a lot of Node-connections. His Node conjunct my Antivertex, opposite my Saturn; also my Antivertex sits on the midpoint of his Antivertex-Node-conjunction. My Node conjunct his Ascendant, Neptune, Venus and widely opposite my Saturn. So, there may be more reasons than that Venus-Mars-conjunction that make it hard to forget him.
But to come back to my question: would you say that a wide-orbed conjunction is stronger, if there are other planets or angles making aspects to both planets? Like in my example: Could i consider his AC as some kind of a bridge between my Mars and his Venus, connecting those planets even more strongly as if they were the only ones in Sagittarius?
