Hello all,
How much importance do you give to house transpositions in synastry? I have a case where there is very strong fifth/seventh/eighth house emphasis in synastry, and it was the case of love at first sight. Five of his planets (including all personal) fall in her fifth house and four of her planets (SO, MO, VE, ME) in his seventh. His Moon is in her fourth (trining her SO,MO, ME in his seventh) and her ascendant conjunct his vertex in his eighth. Another interesting thing with this couple is that in the COMPOSITE CHART almost all the planets conjunct each other (including SO-MO, SO-VE, VE-PL, ME-VE etc), with only Mars trining all of them , so very, very intense composite. I rarelly see such mega stelliums in both synastry and composite with the same couple when I look at chart comparisons. Synastry aspects are also very strong (many going from seventh/fifth house already mentioned), but here I am really interested in your experiences and opinions with houses only in synastry, especially the fourth/fifth/seventh/eighth. Or with huge close stellium in the composite charts, whichever you had more experience with. Looking forward to your replies, L.

Hi Lubenica,
This is a great question! I'm pressed for time tonight but will get back to this topic over the weekend. (Let's hope Eros in Virgo means I'll have more time to spend on the forum!)
Warmly, Kim

Thanks a lot, Kim
Looking forward to it.
And coincindentally, there was the movie "Shine" showing on TV here in London. After seeing it, I was interested in synastry/composite chart of David and Guillian Helfgott, as many people know it was very much "love at first sight" between them, and very happy marriage from what we know. In synastry, they have 6 of her planets (including AC) firmly in his seventh house and 3 of his planets in his fifth. Their composite is also one huge stellium across 6/7th houses, and Saturn trining most of this stellium. I found their birth data on "astrotheme.fr" The astrologer Celeste Teal has this to say on her website about strong 5/7 houses in synastry : "......Probably one of the best combinations for love and marriage would be the Sun of one in the fifth of the other, plus the Sun of the other partner in the seventh of the first. This would show a romantic partnership, and you wind up with the best of both worlds. A five/eight relationship might be primarily sexual between two people of the opposite sex, and may not function very well in a marriage relationship. On the other hand if the Sun of one is in the seventh, but near the cusp of the eighth and the other Sun is in the fifth, it might be a wonderful partnership with the added benefit of sensuality that does not wane over time" (I personally find this to be very accurate observation. And it doesn't have to be the Sun, AC has the same effect in this situation). I noticed this a lot in my own intense attractions, my second part of the seventh house is Aquarius and the ruller of my eighth is aquarius (NN also conjuncts Mars inside the eighth, in Aqua). I am an absolute magnet for Aquarians (even though I am a triple Cancer!!!), and even my first hubby was Aquarius. And I find them magnetically attractive, I can always "feel" the Aquarian by those vibes. In my own observations with many couples, I often noticed that people are very attracted to the people whose sun signs corresponds to their eighth house ruler. So lots of Saggie risings with Cancers, Cancer risings with Aquarians etc... But whenever I see the synastry chart with big stelliums in each other's 5/7th houses, especially if some planets are also in 1, 4 or 8th (or their rulers strongly connected to the other), the relationship is always significant, regardless of the aspects these planets make. As if planets and houses alone are so strong to warrant the strong reaction between those involved. I've read in one book that if in synastry there is say stelliium of planets in one house, in strength it can be regarded as strong as if there is a conjunction of those planets with the cusp (strongest points of the house). It may have been written in "Skymates" by Steve and Jodie Foster, but I am not sure. This is all from me for now, Cheers all, L.

Dear Lubenica,
Funny how I tried to post this message several times and always lost it, and my phone has been doing some weirdly bizarre things, and this weekend has been Totally off the charts energies wise. You would think I am having my own private Mercury retrograde!
Anyway, what a wonderful, yummy experience it must be to have all those superimposed planets in the 5th and 7th! I have spent some time the past several months discarding alot of what I feel are "cutter cookie" descriptions of romantic relationships in synastry--perhaps another manifestation of Neptune-Saturn?? And that includes many of the popular and respected writers on the topic.
Certainly super-imposed planets in 5th and 7th houses would lend to the type of attraction you have described, but I wanted to share my experience that lead to why I have become skeptical of general descriptions offered by astrological writers.
I have been married 28 years and have had one sexual relationship in my entire 50 years. It is a fairly complex relationship, and at the same time is about as solid as they come. It is frustrating, exhilarating, boring, passionate, it is all of those things to both me and him. In this day and age I wonder how we have both managed to get this far in life on one sexual relationship. One. I admit it.
My AC and Saturn fall in his 5th house. My Juno/BML conjunct his Sun by about 6 degrees in his 7th.
His MC falls in my 5th.
His Point of Marraige conjuncts my DC line exact!
And while there are aspects in synastry between these points, that's about it for the 5th-7th house superimpositions.
But you can look at other combinations of things to explain this connection. His 5th house ruler falls in my 4th. His 7th House ruler falls in my 10th (marriage as part of one's public reputation.)
His IC falls in my 11th--not an energy one would associate with romance, except that I have Uranus on the MC and he has a stellum of planets in his 8th house Aquarius--all forms of Aquarian energy are going to be a major attraction for both of us.
My 5th house ruler is in his 4th. My 7th house ruler is in his 9th--once again, not a particularly romantic connection, except that he also has alot of Sagitarian energy and his Venus is is the 9th, conjunct my Mars!
My natal name asteroid is in his 4th.
And he has Capricorn on the cusp of his 8th. Before learning so much on this forum I would have never in a million years described myself as Saturnine. Saturn qualities are what he needs to form an intimate, shared and sexual relationship. Well, with my Saturn in Scorpio on the second House cusp, conjunct his Saturn/Mars conjunction....and with Saturn in Scorpio in my Draconic chart, trine my natal Saturn in Scorpio...boy do I have major Saturn action going down. I admit that it has often been a poor expression of that energy, but it is there none the lesson.
I have Taurus on the 8th house cusp. He is a Draconic Sun in Taurus, and Venus rules many of the things we love to enjoy together--food, cooking, music, etc. He has alot of Taurus dwads and decans going on, too.
So, I guess my point is, if I had been looking for a relationship based on planets superimposed in 5 and 7, this relationship would not have fit the bill!
And the funny thing is, in syanstry with C, we had many of the same connections. It is back to that natal birth chart in both.
Anyway, cherish your relationship with this person and enjoy!
Blessings, Amoroso

Oh--I forgot one very important thing--I think a MAJOR physcial attraction cement is that my 4th house planets fall in this 8th house stellum and my 8th house planets fall in his 12th house. Somewhere on the forum we have a thread on the "water houses" in syanstry.
However, my neice and her serious guy have a huge connection with their earth sign houses.
