Another heads-up everyone for the Solar Eclipse of April 8th. It’s the first new moon of the astrological year—and an Eclipse to boot! Talk about your new beginnings. There will be a stellium of Sun 19, Moon, 19, Venus 21 and N. Node 22 ARIES all square to Saturn in Cancer. Think about what is ending in your life and what you want to begin—especially in the house that contains these degrees of Aries. We are going to want to make clean breaks (the sword of the Aries Warrior slices fast and sure) and we will also want to initiate new beginnings with assertion and lots of courageous energy. Remember that the ruling planet of this eclipse is Mars, now in Aquarius trine Jupiter in Libra. The new direction could be “radical”, unexpected and certainly unconventional. This is a very wilful position for the god of war! The Sabian Symbol: www.sabiansymbols.com/*** ARIES 20 *** A YOUNG GIRL FEEDING BIRDS IN WINTER
Someone is in need of help, someone who may even be the cause of their own problems. There are those that stubbornly resist moving on or changing their habits, even if it is to their detriment. Nonjudgmental innocence can move you to help and lead others to trust.
Nurturing innocence. Feeding energy to situations that feel cold, hopeless and lost. Small efforts bringing their own rewards.
The Caution: Trying to win approval. Creating a reliance that has to be maintained. Think of the fire of Aries and what you might ignite with this power. Then think about love and what the two combined might bring! Anyone with comments or thoughts on this eclipse (and the Lunar eclipse on the 24th at 4 Taurus/Scorpio) please post here. Remember an eclipse can be felt 3 or 4 days BEFORE the event and will last for months and months! Who has personal planets at 20 Aries? Kim

Think about what is ending in your life and what you want to begin Ah, thanks for pointing that out Last year I quit smoking at the exact time of the Aries solar eclipse. I chain smoked a few cigs just before then at the exact conjunction, no more, I stubbed out the last one and that was it Then on my Birthday, Aug 16th there was a solar eclipse in Leo (23,31) which was very close to my natal Sun deg of 23,09!! For this I decided that it was the best time to start going to the Gym and I have also stuck with this, I've even joined full membership and go 3 times a week now! Last night I did 3 hours there! Well coincidentally - I used to do cycling racing for 10 years and the last few days I have been thinking of starting cycle training again. My reason is because I'm nearly 40 so could try to do well in the Vets category. Also I met a cycling mate in the supermarket and he told me where they (lot's of my old training partners) meet up every Sunday morning and asked me to get training again. So at the Gym last night I was telling everyone that I'm going to start cycle training again and that I hope to get back into racing when I turn 40! I've just decided that I will be on my bike for a training ride on the 8th at exactly 9:33pm just for a 20 minute spin, it's a start Then once the weather gets warmer (and me a bit fitter) I will meet up with my cycling friends and join them for training. I know I will be much slower than them and it will be hard to try to keep at their pace but if I'm determined then a few months training and I will be ok Friday here we come then... Anyone else got anything new to start that they have been thinking about recently? Nige.

Kim Hello, My husband has Venus at 20 degrees Aries with Apollo and Lust. I was at a gathering on Friday and we were discussing this eclipse/stelium and they were saying something "revolutionary" to take place in our own country..some people even speculated the beginning of a civil war, but I didn't see it like that..its just not a really "global feeling" that I can see. I do think that there will be passionate feelings activated..but Saturn cools things down.. Saturn in Cancer may be a spash of cold water on the world when it needs it the most. (hopefully not via Tsunami).. I like to watch and speculate. But its not a bad feeling, but something rather hopeful. Take care, svenskasfinx

well I have venus in aries in the 7th at 18 degrees 38 - libra ascendent and ruler of the 2nd and taurus 9th house. I can feel this and how - literallya buzzing inside - I have got other stuff going on in my chart too but this almost expectant feeling has been building p over the last couple of days. On Tuesday we completed buying a new house in another country - we are moving in July and I am giving up my job to go back to college. I guess that is 2nd and 9th house changes. Our only obstacle to a clean break is selling our old house - some one is coming to view tomorrow so I hope the eclipse helps us there!! i also read that a solar eclips was at the same degree of aries in april 1996 - which was the month I got married and also moved country. I suppose that tied in with 7th and ninth. mar

I forgot to add that my venus is biquintile to my scorpio moon in the 2nd - does anyone have any ideas about how the eclipse might affect this? thanks Mar

I can see some of us have planets or points pretty close to that looming eclipse. Remember, we are in the "shadow" of the eclipse right now! Timing of eclipse "events" is tricky. The "content" and "intent" is usually understood only in retrospect but the actual event, if there is one we identify-can come BEFORE the eclipse! How is that possible? (If you want to explore the nature of time, read my article in the "quantum physics & mysticism" thread. Meanwhile: How is it that an eclipse, the noted "big gun" aspect in astrological events, can be "felt", (like a new or full moon), 4 days BEFORE the event, or even 30 days before the event? Consider Susan Miller: A message brought to you by an eclipse is usually delivered within four days of the actual date of the eclipse, but not always. Yet you can sometimes feel a full moon lunar eclipse as early as two weeks prior to it or up to six months later when another planet is needed to trigger the news. (Most likely however, news will occur either at the eclipse or a month to the day later, plus or minus four day--that is your zone to watch if things don't happen immediately.) This becomes particularly interesting when you consider that 4 days before the eclipse or lunar event, the Moon isn't even in orb of the aspect but up to several signs preceding! If time is linear, how does that work? Meanwhile, everyone stay focused and aware during this time! Aries often requires that we have courage, maybe even daring--and eclipses are "super-fast", things can happen in the blink of an eye. (I have asteroid Circe at 20 Aries. I might just brew me up a spell!) Kim

Well well well
The eclipse happens in my 5th House (just inside cusp) and let me tell you ... "I am ready for anything and everything!"... haha... at least I 'think' I am...
The closest point I can find here is ... Susa at 19 Aries 27 (this is one of my name Asteroids)...what can this mean? (Conjunct Aries ... Sun 14,43... Erato 14,50 ... Amor 16,16)... and that Square to Saturn ... hmmm... in 7th Conjunct 8th House Cusp.... is that ominous?
I have a Cancer Moon 16, 55 in 7th Conjunct Cancer Circe 16,07... Medusa 18,28... Asbolus 18,41... Toro 19,54) wow this all sounds a bit huge, especially since I also have Natal Saturn Opposite Cancer Moon (Capricorn 17, 55) in 1st House Conjunct 2nd House cusp.
I guess, depending on what actually happens, it will show me just how accurate my chart really is.

Kim! Everyone! I have to post this because its the solar eclipse today, and this is my son's lunar return today! I thought it would be interesting because these charts I found were fabulous looking. Never mind me: its interesting to take a look at what's going on. With him especially! these charts are so clear! I just love them.. they are under the section of "natal + lunar return*" and "natal + solar return with houses*" in the section you can select asteroids in on www.astro.comTake care all! svenskasfinx

How is it that an eclipse, the noted "big gun" aspect in astrological events, can be "felt", (like a new or full moon), 4 days BEFORE the event, or even 30 days before the event? Consider Susan Miller: I can't say exactly what happened for me but it was unexpected to what I imagined. Almost like turning a light switch (on or off). you wrote (or even 30 days before the event) well almost 30 days before! On the 6th of March, all I felt like doing was buying a new cycle bike. I had an idea of putting an electric engine with it and solar panels so I could get free transport. When looking for the bike I had certain specifications that I was looking for (27" faster wheels) and only after a lot of looking I found the bike I wanted. After I bought the bike I just thought 'what have I bought this for', it really seamed like a stupid nigel thing to do and I just couldn't understand why I had such a strong urge to buy this bike. Then the eclipse came and it was like a light switch for me, all I had was memories and thoughts of my cycling days and now this new bike - I have got so many spare parts and started swapping parts to make my new bike lighter/not just lighter but to race, All of a sudden I realized that I had bought an excellent racing bike frame (7005 aluminum) and just needed to change the parts around to have an excellent racing bike. So this became an obsession. All my thoughts of this bike and also my return to racing at 40 years old. I have raced for years at cycle X but have been determined to only ride a mountain bike. I used to get beaten by a few but only by people riding cross bikes. Then I realize, the frame of my new bike is a cross bike and I just seem to have all the parts ready to fit to it , this was NEVER my intention when I bought it, but really I have brand new wheels and tires from my old bikes etc, it's as if the frame has been waited for!! That solar eclipse was like a light switch being turned on (or maybe off) for me!!! Nige

Thanks for that, Nige!
Your experience is so like the nature of these eclipse energies--and it sounds quite positive (all sporty for Aries)
Very inspirational.
Happy cycling!
