Hi,
I was wondering if the Aries point degree changes in a progressed chart?
I have 0 degrees Capricorn progressed Sun, and I wondered if that will act as a natal Aries Point?
Thanks for any input

Hello Marie,
Welcome to the forum.
The Aries point, as I understand it, remains the vernal equinox in the tropical zodiac even in the progressed chart. That just means that you look for zero degrees of the Cardinal signs to be the AP whether it is a natal, progressed, return or directed chart.
What can happen (as you are experiencing now) is the progression of a planet or point TO the AP (Zero degree Aries Point).
Yes, that is significant.
The Sun into Capricorn by progression brings a whole shift in your orientation to your sense of individuality. As the first degree of Capricorn, this placement says, “I produce”, suggesting how our urge to bring tangible results moves from “self” to society as a whole.
It can coincide with greater responsibilities, more recognition for what you “do” (positive or not so positive at times—it’s just that everyone seems to NOTICE you more)and a stronger feeling of purpose and ambition, if you have authentic goals!
So yes, progressed planets over the AP act like natal planets there, only it isn’t going to be there for as long. (The natal planet on the AP is permanent).
With the Sun, you many experience a 3 year span of energy-the year (or degree) before, the exact contact and the year (or degree) after.
From my article: Sun-AP Can mean our energy, vitality and drive seeks to express through society. People see us for our solar qualities and we propel our creative drive into the collective. The famous individual.
How does this fit in your life now? Has anyone had a similar progression to report?
Thank you for the questions. I am out of time now but will come back to all your other posts in the next few days.
Warmly, Kim

:)Hi Kim, Thank you so much for such an interesting reply. My goals, I believe, do have integrity, and include making a place for myself in the creative arts. I'm in the process of finding a way, or ways, to make a living designing purses and children's accessories, and film-making. In a week and a half I will be part of an Art show at a local gallery, where I hope to begin to make a name for myself in this way. I have wanted for some time to make a living doing something creative and to be able to carve out niche that enables me the financial freedom to provide a good life for myself and my children. Saturn, Neptune and Uranus transits are making this goal very challenging! And having a natal chart with challenging , aspects, makes keeping the faith difficult. But I feel strongly that I'm on the cusp of something better. It's encouraging to know that my progressed Sun may propell me to that place I've been wanting to be! In my natal chart, my moon is at 29 degrees Virgo, conjunct the Libra point in the eighth house. After reading more about the Aries Point, I have solved a mystery in my previous relationship. After the relationship ended, it seemed that so many people in my town new about it, and there was a lot of gossip circling around me. My past boyfriend has Jupiter, Uranus and Ascendant conjunct the Libra point. My moon is conjunct his Libra point. Could this explain all the recognition, albiet negative?!!! Thanks again for your consideration and time. Sincerely, Marie

Hello Marie,
Yes, the AP in your natal 8th, set off by his planets and Ascendant, could well have gathered to itself all that “dark gossip” and no doubt “whispers and secrets around sex and money!” It’s not great press, but as they say in show biz, all publicity is good publicity. Perhaps it has somehow helped you on your path…<br> Hopefully this new progression is going to trigger positive, creative change of the kind that you are eager for!
Thanks for your input. Warmly, Kim

I do have good feelings about that progressed Sun into Capricorn.
Please let us know what you discover, expecially this solsitce when the personal planets cluster in that sign.
Warm wishes, Kim
