Dear Svenskasfinx, The crash was freaky. I rounded the corner, looked up, went oh F*%$#@ in my mind and then, whamo, we collided. I hurts a lot. I can now lift my hand higher than my face though, which is a real improvement. I suspect a deeper element to the Pluto/Scorpio theme includes issues of power/control and survival. I live alone and am sole supporting on a kind of day to day level. The loss of use of my right arm for weeks make me face the realities of my life (no back-up, no immediately obvious support). It is hard to face yet ultimately an important exercise. With your progressions, can we look at what progressed planets are aspecting natals? I feel the asteroids become more obvious in action when the transit or progress over a natal point. Are any of the conjunctions on an important mid-point (on including a personal planet or angle)? I’d like to look at this further (hopefully more time tomorrow.) Warm wishes, Kim PS I am thinking that natal Neptune/Saturn inconjunct needs to retreat into a sense of solitude and sanctuary at times. This is only natural. Oh Dear Kim! I can imagine if this was crash was so bad on you, it does make me wonder about the other person involved; I've had similar experiences quite a few years ago, but I landed on my head, and scraped my face and teeth. (natal saturn in aries I suppose) nothing lasting but I did this.. can't say they were good or easy times either. And yes I too lived alone and had a relationship which was kind of weird at the time. Hope you are feeling better fast anyway! As far as important midpoints maybe a few in Leo, like the sun/moon midpoint at about 10 degrees and alot of things in but as I have been looking and looking I find only gentle aspects, trines and sextiles from the beginning of my natal conjunctions in Cancer starting with Mars at roughly 7 degrees. And then there is Jupiter in Virgo at 2 degrees. There is a later progressed conjunction occurring between Venus and Cupid in the later degrees of Leo, but the only thing that influences any real natal points is my progressed Sun and Mercury at 13 degrees, and still valid for a sun moon midpoint, which would probably have been active not only just now but for a few years now if I'm not mistaken. There is natal Psyche in Scorpio around 9 degrees ( when Pluto transited a few years ago, it did make me awfully psychic but did I listen to alot of what I saw? not hardly enough!), and then eventually much later before Neptune is the vertex 18 degrees Scorpio. But still I don't percieve any of this as being so full of drama. I guess I could use a break from the dramatic in life anyway; I prefer my life's lessons in books myself , and am a bit of a coward most of the time. (like I said "squeemish" but not afraid of snakes). Take care! sfinxen

Hello Svenskasfinx,
I too appreciate your sketch of Medusa. She seems strong and at peace with who she is. It reminds me of a paragraph from Alice Borchardt’s “Silver Wolf”. (she is Anne Rice’s—Interview with a Vampire—sister). In her book about a woman/werewolf she writes:
“I was born of darkness. My father’s eyes closed before mine ever opened. I am not of this world, nor of the other, and I have a right to be what I am.”<br> This is a loose quote. I can’t find the page to get it exact but it would be quite close. Forgive me Alice if a word is out! It’s the feeling that resinates so profoundly with, I believe, images of Medusa, and Lilith and other dark aspects of the feminine.)
Isn’t it interesting, all this talk of snakes (and now werewolves and vampires) with the Sun into Scorpio?
And thanks, my shoulder is improving every day!
Blessings, Kim

Blessings, Kim Hej Kim, Its good to read that you are feeling better! Thanks for the book quotes as well; there was actually a time when I was well read, now I'm lucky if I can read in the bathroom... (I finished Douglas Adam's "Last Chance to See" in about 4 months that way) !!! Anyway, I have been sketching like mad, trying to work out some things on paper so I can eventualy try to paint.. It seems I'm taking up where I left off with my metal working, if I had completed my studies in that area I was going do a thesis inspired by asteroids and the mythological women they represented; I had some sketches in my books to start off with four boxes using some of the symbols of Vesta, Juno, Ceres, and Pallas-Athena...the flame being Vesta, the peathingy feather eye being Juno, the wheat/seed in germination being Ceres and the snake being for Athena. I had other "Archetypes" also, for example more of the same only planetary.. just simple designs, nothing too complex, that's why the symbols were not all encompassing but rather just minimalistic renderings. Medusa however as a painting should be rather complex and emotional. Thanks for your insparation and quotes... and remember if there is anything anyone needs posting, I'll help out! img.photobucket.com/albums/v25/kafkas_unfulfilling_muse/purely%20drawings%20sketches%20and%20such/medusaface.jpg This is a learning exersize; there is an image above, just put the link from photo bucket between the two image tags and see what happens, ( they are not case sensitive): [ / i m g] ... (had to edit even the image tages work with just IMG and nothing there!!)
and it can be for any kind of image url you would like! for example if you have a website, with images uploaded accessable from the internet, you can use the address of the image and post it into a forum as well.
Take care!

P.S. the image above is not yet done... just a quickish kind of detailed sketch.

I am still so new to general interpretation and orientation to a chart that when you all list what you have where, with midpoints and transists, my eyes glaze over.
So here are some questions as pertaining to the Eclipse at 5 degrees Taurus: 1. What does it mean to have one's natal Chiron at 5 degrees Taurus with this eclipse? 2. To have a natal moon/uranus/Midheaven stellum trine the eclipse? 3. Do eclipses have a sphere of orb? If so, what does this mean if your DC is at 29 Aries, as well as the asteroids Pan and Terpsichord?
Is any of this significant, or am I getting lost in piddly details?
Thanks much, BodaciousBabe

Hello BB,
If natal Chiron was activated by the eclipse, it means that something, some quality, in your expression of Chiron awakens. The audacity to attempt, the ability to do what others would think impossible, the impudence, cheek and courage to express something that would seem outside the collective norm, may inspire (or force) you into a new area of yourself. There is something very brave about Chiron and having him awakened with the emotional intensity of an eclipse tells me that the things you initiate now, on an inner or outer level, will have far reaching effects.
The natal moon/uranus/Midheaven stellum trine the eclipse is also a TRANSIT of the eclipse to this active point. I feel that conjunctions/oppositions and squares are most pronounce with these “lunar event” transits yet still you have a powerful emphasis on that already “unstable” Moon/Ur/Mc. One may feel restless, especially if their emotional heart is not in their “work”. The career must be the calling. At a minimum, there could be surprises at work on in context with the social identity. Uranus hates to be trapped or in a rut. This transit wakes the rebel! Again, with the eclipse activating, we watch for more insight 30 days (plus or minus 4 days) after the eclipse and then again at the “return” eclipse on April 25, 2005 (when the sun and moon are in reverse signs conjunct the nodes.)
Everything has a sphere of orb, we just have to work out what it is. I use up to 10 degrees for major planets, maybe half that for asteroids, but not always. It is as Liz Greene says, “If it acts like it is in aspect, then it’s probably in aspect!” Pan activated on the DC would bring out the sensual, cheeky, earthy, “surprise” element in one, provided they have an outlet for Pan. I do not know enough about Terpsichord yet to comment. I’ll look into it and hazard some speculation if I have time.
I hope this helps, and yes, these are significant things to consider!
Warmly, Kim
