Thanks, Sielou, it does help!
A Sappho to Sappho conjunction in synastry would be pretty amazing.
But I wouldn't think his Sappho/Mercury conjunction would be the reason for his personality disorder. It sure would be pretty to hear him speak!
I have an exact Mercury/Adonis conjunction in 8th house Gemini (like Svenskasfinx's fifth house, it tends to be a crowded house,) and when the opposition to Saturn isn't tying up my words, I have been known to hypnotize people when I am speaking. There seems to be no in between-I am either stumbling over words, can't get them out because my brain goes blank or is electrocuted, or I am brilliant and witty beyond belief. (Now who has the narcissistic tendancies....)

"But I wouldn't think his Sappho/Mercury conjunction would be the reason for his personality disorder." >>Of course not ;-). Wasn´t my intention to make anyone think that. "I have an exact Mercury/Adonis conjunction in 8th house Gemini (like Svenskasfinx's fifth house" >>By the way I have 2102 Tantalus/Mercury conjunction in my 12th house. I got totally confused because according to Kims asteroids of love list: "1 Ceres Jan. 01, 1801 4.6 years Mother, nurturing, feeding emotional and physical needs. Taking care of each other. 3 Juno Sep 01, 1804 4.36 years Committed and bonded relationships, marriage, legal ties and protection of rights within the relationship. 4 Vesta Mar 29, 1807 3.63 years Devotion and dedication to beliefs, tantric sex and passion for ritual. Sex as spiritual transformation. 16 Psyche Mar 17, 1852 5.00 years Perseverance of love, connection of a psychic nature, awakening of intuition, soul seeking completion. 80 Sappho May 02, 1864 3.48 years Sexual attraction, deep appreciation of self and others, poetic, artistic, refined and cultured. Very passionate. 433 Eros Aug 13, 1898 1.76 years Erotic love, sexual or creative revelation that brings two people together to form a lasting transformation. 763 Cupido Sep 25, 1913 3.35 years The look of love, aware of image, being tantalized by the reflection, seeing is exciting or foreboding. 1221 Amor Mar 12, 1932 2.66 years Love as felt idealistically, romanticize in pure and unconditional thought, not necessarily sexual 1388 Aphrodite Sep 24, 1935 5.24 years Impulsive love and attraction, love inspired by fated events, animosity turning to magnetism, charisma. 1943 Anteros Mar 13, 1973 1.71 years The brother of Eros, love returned, or love avenged. The answer to love’s longing, a place to finally meet. 2102 Adonis Feb 12, 1936 2.57 years Spell bound love, sexual magnetism, the desired to arouse, please and fulfill the beloved. Potent tie. 4450 Pan May 9, 1988 3.00 years Seductive and earthy sensuality, creative, wily, and likely to instill “panic” to produce change or contact." 2102 is Adonis, but according to Astrodienst 2101 is Adonis and 2102 is Tantalus. Hmm... so what is Tantalus all about Guess I have to start a new thread ;D! Can´t you get reminders of a new reply to a thread anymore ?

Earlier I wrote: "I also noticed that I have my Sappho in a conjunction with this destructive man I fell in love with (we have an astonishing composite!! He was born July 4 1977 in Visby at 1400. I now have quite strong suspicions that he has a Narcissistic Personality Disorder and I know that he has a antisocial personality disorder also). What I mean is that my Sappho is in a conjunction with his Sappho. He has his Sappho in a conjunction with his own Mercury.
Is this the reason his words has such strong influence on me?"
I know now that his Mercury/Sappho conjuncting my Sappho wasn´t the reason his words has such a strong influence on me.
The reason I now this is because I have emailed and spoken on the phone with a guy born at the same date (4 july 1977), but in Lund and around 14 hours earlier.
So this wasn´t it.

My guy & I have composite Eros in Pisces (26.07) trine composite Sappho in Cancer (24.24). Let me tell you, it is *definitely* a heady combination. It's like nothing I've ever experienced in a relationship before.

This thread on Sappho reminds me on some funny thought that I'd like to share with you, which I had in my mind BEFORE I got to know the asteroids and their meaning in synastry: I had said to a friend that I am kind of afraid to start having sex with my -now- partner, because I felt that it would be......that we simply wouldn't stop anymore ;D I used the words "I'm afraid to open Pandora's box". Now I check and see...that we have a double Sappho-Pandora-conjunction (1° and 6°). Too strange those things that are around in air sometimes! Greetings, Claudia

A double Sappho/Pandora conjunction? Wow! That's almost funny, in light of your feeling that you'd be opening up Pandora's box!
Thanks for posting this! Amoroso

I'm not "approved" yet ;D, but I wanted to jump in and ask a question (I'm going to be doing ALOT of that, since I am new to Asteroids). Anyway, I was curious as to what my Sappho/Chiron conjunction in Aries, conjunct my "interest's" Sappho would mean? I say interest, as nothing has come up as yet, though I strongly feel something will...

Dear Sag, Sappho seems to represent many different things and several astrologers have attempted to define her influence. There's a lovely testimony to her at 64.233.161.104/search?q=cache:_w9aosmiBuoJ:lovestarz.com/cosmos.html+Sappho+in+astrology&hl=enAnd I think one has to search a bit to figure out what she means to each individual. I think my views are heartily influence by the fact that in my chart she is in 8th House Gemini, and the exact midpoint between my Sun and Venus. But I would think that Sappho conjunct Chiron makes her more physical somehow, whether she is something you express through your body (dance, movement, Tai Chi?) There will be a core strength to her in your expression that is tied to Chiron's expression. And Sappho to Sappho contacts in synastry are really beautiful there can be a touch of the erotic, rather fleeting, but there none the less. I say fleeting because Sappho's truly sublime poetry has survived in fragments, so we just get flashes and glimpses of the beauty and power of her words. I think that her energy is receptive as well as aggressive, she contains a ying-yang power. There is a yearning in it for like-minded fellowship, too. I also think there is an interest in education somehow, or in passing on knowledge in some form. I am trying to write more on Sappho because I am interested in her, but can't seem to get to her lately! Thoughts? Amoroso

Also, your conjunction in Aries made me mention the physical expression.

Physical expression...I was thinking ...could acting (particularly stage) fall in that realm? My 2 degree Aries Chiron is trine my 28 degree Moon/Neptune conjuction in the 11th house: Physical expression on the masses?

Hi SSG,
I would think stage acting would be a perfect expression of Chiron/Sappho in Aries in the house of communication!
Laurence Oliver-type energy comes to mind!
Blessings, Amoroso

;D Yes, that is where I feel most alive!! Something we have in common as well (although me more than him) . There are a few more asteroid connections, so now I wil go find the appropriate threads...... Gotta try and wrap my mind around these astroids. Completely fascinating, I feel comfortable enough with the regular planets, angles and a couple of mid-points, but it's time to GROW (my Sagi ascendant speaking ;D)

Hi everyone,
could anybody help me to understand Sappho/Saturn conjunction (Scorpio) in synastry? (Saturn is mine). That Sappho also trine my Sun.
Any comments would be very helpful, as I still struggle with asteroids...
