Hi Lunarscorp! Welcome to the forum.
I am posting an excerpt from my Relationship Eros Reports to help elucidate the nature of Venus/Eros combined. Remember! Synastry contacts are like PERMANENT TRANSITS. Being around each other is like you having Eros on your Venus, and he Venus over his Eros, all the time. As long as there is room for creative expression of such passionate planets, it’s usually quite stimulating. You can’t say for sure who will feel Venus and who Eros, because in synastry more than anything else, the mechanism of projection kicks in. All you can say is that these gods are awakened and they don’t generally sit idle.
I think the Venus/Vertex contact is very significant. I haven’t had time to look at your charts, but certainly this could be a significant turning point. Have you read my article on the Vertex? www.nrg.com.au/~d-falcon/News.htm#vertum I also am convinced of the importance of this point!
Venus in Synastry Aspect to Eros
When Eros and Venus meet, the initial consensus is to party. Eros wants to relate intimately and Venus wants to have splendid fun. Between the two, an excellent time is in order, at least at first.
That is supposing the desire for intimacy is not superceded by agoraphobia, self-doubt or other dysfunctional behaviors inhibiting relating. If either person involved has a challenged Venus, the activation of that challenge by Eros will not usually result in celebration. The placement and nature of Venus and Eros in the natal charts will influence the likely outcome of the contact.
If the aspect is in accord by element, modality or orientation, the attraction can be quite strong. These individuals zero in on each other across a crowded room, often exhibiting a special and instant cognizance. This attraction is not dependent on physical proximity, as Internet relationships confirm.
A strong Eros/Venus contact in the synastry charts can indicate a common creative goal. The couple may be involved in the performing arts or even a more pragmatic business pursuit. Venus tends to attract attention and when mingling with Eros, the result can be quite successful. The two may also meet under more professional circumstances and find themselves irresistibly drawn into a deeper, intimate relationship.
The irresistible aspect of the relationship can also indicate a willingness to disregard general social constraints by engaging in an illicit or adulterous affair. Eros wants to take things to the edge and Venus believes that if a little is good a lot is better. Between the two, real life situations can turn into complex melodramas fit for a daytime soap opera. The taboo nature can come into its own here, especially if Pluto is also involved.
The basic sensuality of Venus heightens the erotic desires of Eros and sexual intimacy is one way to live it out. Depending on other aspects to Venus and Eros in the respective charts, this will follow its natural course with ease or adversity. Often it is a combination of the two.
Hope this sheds light.
Warmly,
Kim
