The astrologer Carol Willis says in her midpoints paper the following: "My favorite midpoints in SYNASTRY are conjunctions to the Ceres midpoints for care and comfort, and the Vertex midpoints for special relationship connections." Just recently searching CERES, I found this intriguing. I have never seen that reference from other midpoint articles, and wondered how that would play out in my own life. Willis uses 1 degree tight orb and conjunctions only. This is what I found: My Ceres/Moon midpoint =D' s SUN Pisces 24/5.5. --- D's SUN is Pisces 24 My Ceres/Neptune = D's JUPITER Capricorn 1/44 --- D's JUPITER is 1/37 Natally my CERES is also very closely conjunct D's VENUS/EROS/CHIRON "stellium". Anyone here have experience with CERES Do you use CERES in your midpoints analyses? Have you found these contacts to be critical aound nurturing? www.astrologynow.com/carolwillis/MidPoints.txt

Well, Blue, that is weird because I just read the same article!!!! I really have not had time to check charts, but I WILL say that the most outstanding example of Ceres I know of (other than my Chiron/Eros conjunct C's Ceres/Vesta...) is that when my husband's cancer diagnosis came in, transiting Uranus and Ceres were exactly square and on his Mercury in the 8th house. It does not seem surprising that issues of nourishment, sustenance, etc., would suddenly and disruptively bring communication about his prostate, an 8th house "organ."
I will hopefully be able to look at this sometime in the next century. Saturn through my 10th house is, well, being very Saturn through my 10th house, both in career and as a parent and wife.
Love, Amoroso

Thats interesting..my moon,/ceres midpoint exactly conjuncts my partners sun too (also my uranus/jupiter as they tightly conj my moon)! And my neptune/ceres m/p conjs his mars. My mercury/jup m/p conj his ceres (and i have a ton of other m/p all around his moon/ceres conj.
His ceres/sun (also uranus as its conj) m/p conj my moon+uranus and his sun/vertex m/p conjs my Ceres.
Both of our sun/moon midpoints conj each others moon anyway (mine slightly wide by 5' but close enough and with so many aspects dancing around that sign i count it).
Have been getting into midpoints myself lately and also Ceres, which has filled a hole in my chart that makes it make more sense to me.
Interesting stuff and thanks for the article.
