Hello, I am curious about Ceres conjunct Vertex in a synastry chart.
What does this mean? Destined to have family with the Vertex person since it is in the 5th house?
There are many general descriptions of Ceres effects on line, but I cant seem to find one with a conjunct Vertex interpretation.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank You, ElectricBlueMoon

Hello Electricbluemoon, The thing I find with the vertex is that it can signify a turning point-an 'ah ha' moment or experience that coincides with a life shift. I wrote an article on the vertex--the online version is here: www.falconastrology.com/vertex.htmWith Ceres, you have an archetype of 'mother', a nurturing force of nature. It is about growing, succouring, protecting and reaping. There are several threads here that depict her in detail. When you understand the essence of the goddess Ceres you can begin to build a lattice of meaning when linked to the Vertex by synastry. This could be anything from a turning point moment when you meet the other person's mother to finding yourself mothering their child, or even wanting to start a market garden with them. We can't say what the even will be but it does suggest that if you do spend time with this person, you will awaken in both of you the archetype of Ceres AND of Vertumnus and it can, one way or another, have a meaningful effect on your lives. How do you think it might unfold? What can you imagine with this contact? Kim

First, thanks for responding and for the enlightening information Kim. Your reply has motivated me to research Ceres to understand more of what she represents.
Personally, I dont have children and I planned to spend my 20's establishing my career and my next dream was to marry and have a child by the time I was 30. Of course, nothing happened as planned, and the few men I dated seriously were not interested in kids/committment. One guy led me on for 3 years, promising me everything then when I never got pregnant he lost interest, met a married woman with 3 kids by other men, who soon gave him the children he wanted. I was devastated...
My new man is the first one to come along in years that has given me hope, that I will have a family. He has kids already and I would love more than anything to marry him and raise his kids.
So in this case, his Ceres conjunct my Vertex prob means that.
