Well, this may sound rather nuts, but I finally had to have a look- see at why I've been craving fresh ground pepper with salt so much. 18022......Pepper 36614......Saltis 2065........Spicer Progressed Pepper is conj. my natal Asc. by one degree Progressed Saltis conj. natal NN by two degrees Progressed Spicer is trine natal Asc by 3 degrees I've wondered if I have a deficiency of some kind since I crave pepper and salt (I do take vitamins). But it must be cracked pepper...freshly ground. Trans. Spicer is conj. natal Jupiter in 6th. And expansion of spicy cravings perhaps? (I've always like spicy foods...the pepper thing is relatively new...) Trans Spicer-Mars conj. P. Vertex in 5th in Sag which rules natal 6th. I would think Pepper is rather "Mar-z". Anybody know? Progressed Pepper also conj. natal Mars.... Flower...

I found that Pepper is ruled by Scorpio and Mars, and I wasn't thinking but, Sag. does not rule my 6th....Scorpio does... Anyway, just one of those funny things ....

You're right, Pepper is a Mars spice. Black pepper is Piper nigrum. When the outer coat is removed it's white pepper. It is stimulating and helpes digestion by stimulating blood flow. At one time it was used to as money to pay rent. Perhaps this is where the phrase "pay the piper" came from. It was considered a nominal payment so gained the meaning of "insignificant or triffling". Salt was used as money for a long time. It has also been used in asparagras fields to keep out the weeds. Even quack grass won't grow in it. Say Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers 3 times fast with a mouth full of peppercorns, add a dash of salt and the craving will go away along with all the quackgrass ;D My pepper is sitting on the fixed star Castor and the asteroid Sisyphus, 3 degrees before Jupiter. I can just see Sisyphus pushing a peppercorn up the hill and taking his castor oil to cleanse his colon I put a dash of cayenne in anything you might put pepper in to aid in digestion. Being in the 12th it's one of my hidden resources. I use it in my arthritis and pain formula too.

"At one time it was used as money to pay rent" LOL....that would be great! .... For Christmas I received a set of beautiful Salt and Pepper grinders from Crate and Barrel..... "Here, let me make my payment....grind, grind, crunch, crunch.... a-choo!!" LOL I might try the Cayenne sometime. Someone from Thailand once said our food basically has no fire (here in the states)....hmmmm, I don't know about that since a variety is available...I break out in a sweat with some peppers when eating Mexican Food....Kung Pao Chicken is a fav though as well.... "I can just see Sisyphus pushing a peppercorn up the hill and taking his castor oil to cleanse his colon" Funny...I have this little saying about "Red Rim Cyn"....laugh out loud.....Ouch, if you know what I mean!! The pepper grinder I received also has these little green balls (like the corns which came in black and white). I swear they smell like sage. Perhaps sage was made into the balls to accompany the peppers but I never heard of that....But tastes good.... I don't know when I'll be over this craving....Maybe the rhyme formula like you suggest will help ...LOL....
