Whoa, Tom. What an experience! It seems that Mother Pele has chosen you!
Often body work, whether basic Alexander Technique or chakra clearing or detoxification at my alternative health care clinic, leaves me feeling weirder than weird. I hope you feel better soon.
But your story reminded me of something similar I have experienced off and on since my last abdominal surgical complication. It took over a year to heal, (and I have had 8 of these abdominal surgeries and DO NOT plan on every going there again. The Universe had alot to teach me..) .but as I changed my life around, I began to experience a pull through my feet whenever I meditated. And now, often when I mediate lying on my back, the pull will start in my feet and go through my belly. It is like an electric current that runs through me until i get tired, and then I slowly release it.
Well, I have Moon/Uranus on the MC, and all my life, until about a year and a half ago, I have been like an ungrounded socket hanging in mid-air during an electric storm! So it seems that I am having that electricity now find its way into the ground.
I humbly offer it to the Mother and hope she uses it for her rejuvenation at some level!
Blessings, Amoroso

thank you, amoroso. better today, still some headache/blah feeling. when i had rolfing done, i don't remember feeling like this, but that was probably just because of being preoccupied with the emotional stuff i had come up in that work.
what do you mean by "changed my life around"? i'm curious because of what it takes for a person to start to have these kinds of feelings. i know for me it's been a couple of years of playing with my diet, and then almost a year ago shifting it considerably and using my body differently (exercise-wise).

Hi Tom,
By "changed my life around," I also seriously changed my diet and started exercising moderately but consistently. I had had a fairly healthy life style before my kids were born but all hell broke loose after they came along. Nothing in my wildest dreams prepared me for what it is like to raise kids, build a career, tend a home and marriage all at the same time. And people my age (50) were told that we could have it all, and we tried. Plus, living separate from family and not having a community to really help with the day to day of tending those kids. I simply stopped taking care of every single one of my needs.
Then, two years ago I began working with a multi-disciplinary alternative health care clinic to rebuild my body, which, of course, leads to mental, emotional and physical changes, and, at the same time, through my work, had the most intensely erotic experience of my life, which drove me to find Kim and this forum, and there you have it!
Have you decided whether or not you can really handle this particular kind of cleansing experience? Was this a young healer? Did she not accurately determine what you could "take," or are you OK with it?
Blessings, Amoroso

Just a note about the exercise--I discovered belly-dancing, and, while I am still a beginner, this introduced me to my body in a whole new way!!! Westerners think of belly dancing as a sort of erotic strip tease, but it began in the Middle East as a "sympathy movement." Women tending other women in childbirth would rock their pelvises "in sympathy" with the woman giving birth, and the art form grew from there.

I hadn't read this thread before. My youngest is so fascinated with volcanoes. Just last night my sister brought up her first experience with Reiki, saying she could feel the practicioners heat and the energy moving. I explained to her how it works. It is like described here. I see my Pele is at 19Scorpio, volcanic indeed. It squares the asc/desc from my 4th. I see the rumblings announcing my coming birth as the moon passed here just hours before my birth. Since my Moon is just 20 hours away this could have initiated the process. 4 hours later Moon transited Gary which means mighty spear. This could be the rupture of the membrane.
The node is at 17 Virgo, the critical degree of my husbands ascendant. We do have a volcanic way of moving each other. It progressed to my Moon around the same time as my Saturn return.
For the last few years she has progressed toward my Eros and the node has been progressed to 0 Libra which is my Saturn/Pulto. I'm seeing the injury to my arm through the hard labor I was enduring as the birth pains of my new life, where I stand in the darkness now, begin.
The volcanic activity she represents reminds me so clearly of an experience I had during the Uranus opposition. I was mid way in my monthly cycle, which would have been my fertile time. I had recently opened myself up to many occult teachings. When I read something so familiar, such as scriptures, the words took on a whole new meaning, the words took on a life of their own. My dreams were instructional. While lying in bed I felt a flow of fire move up from the pelvis through the abdomen centered on the womb. The movement of energy was like the waves of the ocean, or Lake Michigan which is what I am familiar with, but it was fire, like lava flowing. This triggered a premature full moon phase of my cycle and reversed my cycles to the infertile time of the month being when I would be fertile. This is appropriate since my marriage was dissolving. I believe this happened while Pele was transiting Sagittarius after crossing my Moon, perhaps during the Rx period.
And how interesting I give my attention to this goddess when she is back home in Scorpio, returning home in my chart, due to be exact on my birthday 9/4.

On additional note: Pele is square Saturn next week and square Neptune the 1st of September so she is the apex of a t-square right now. As Moon transits through Taurus watch for an eruption or two. With Neptune involved, I'm sure it should be enlightening, especially with Uranus in mutual reception.

Aqua,
Amazing experience! Thanks for sharing that! Have you ever thought of taking all this knowledge about the occult and turning it into a paying job? Get yourself together, make short goals to meet, and go for it.
I know this is easier said than done, but maybe the Universe is telling you your skills are needed for helping to heal the plaent and Her people!

Oh, Amoroso, you can't even imagine how much I would love that. But since I was put out of I haven't even had one call for my essential oils or Caley Cream. I was selling a little before. I don't know what the universe is trying to tell me. I'm redesigning my website and expanding the astrology section. Maybe that will shift the energy. I so want to find an open door for my working from home with my children here. They need me around with being home schooled.

Aqua,
This is off topic from Pele, but I don't think she'll mind!
Are you working with someone who can help with marketing, web traffic, that sort of thing? I hope this takes off for you so you can work at least part time from home.
The Universe will bless this--I am sure of it. It has been in my experience that sometimes things are slow in coming when we have some "house cleaning" of our own to do. If that is the case, the purpose is to make you a better healer and counselor.

Thanks for the support, Amoroso. Don't dare to take the money for that. There are so many out there (just had a call from fgmarket.com?) that offer their service, who knows what is worth the money anyway. I've never gotten good response from paid advertising. I'm doing my research now about search engines. I'll put key words in meta tags etc. Techguy support has some good info for me to look into also. I keep trying.

Hey, I did not mean PAY somebody for that kind of help---I mean a sort of barter or trade with someone else for their ideas, your services.
I have been in business for myself since I was 26--I am now 50. I never would've gotten anything off the ground without the help and support of many people at many times and at many stages in my life. Remember, the Universe works through PEOPLE!!!!!!
Scuze, me, Pele, but we need to discuss this---An example I have for you is that many years ago my son made friends with a boy whose mother drove me nuts. She had many admirable qualities, such as she had started and was devoted to a non-profit organization that received national attention, but she had a way of manipulating all the other parents so she never had to drive the kids anywhere or do any of the myriad things parents do for their kids and their friends. Here I was, surgery after surgery, still trying to work, parenting my kids, and several times she and I exchanged words.
Well, guess what? She and I both had what the other needed in terms of "personal vs. the other." I have a Libra/Neptune ASC and she has Mars in her first house Capricorn!! Anyway, to make a long story longer, she turned out to have been a former journalist, and when she wanted voice lessons, I traded her some of her contacts with newspapers for voice lessons. We worked out an even trade with which we were both satisfied.
Turns out, she had wanted voice lessons for awhile, but she did not want to trade her fee for mine, because she thought "how hard can teaching voice really be?" We now occasionally still trade services.
So, look around. Those opportunities are there, but the more specific you are in what you need, the better the arrangement will be.
I once tried to barter voice lessons for a web designer's daughter with "helping me with my site." That did not work at all, because I was too vague with what I needed.
Also, I have traded housework with friends. You help me with windows, I'll help you paint your porch.
Hope this jump starts some ideas!

I see what you mean. I have done some bartering but I have to get clear on my worth. One aquaintance who has issues with paying her bills and keeping her home bartered her service/time for my product. Problem was, she got wholesale price and I had out of pocket expence. When I lost my job and told her I needed cash instead of her psychic services she already had the product, didn't pay and I won't be considering her services again.
oh, and I'm sure Pele doesn't mind. If she did, we'd hear her spouting off. Now that I think about the two main people that have been ordering from me this last year, neither really gave me a fair deal. I was shipping to the one, she didn't pay until it sold and there isn't enough mark up with wholesale, to cover shipping. The other took all my wholesale customers away that were buying oil by the gallon for massage therapy, through a co-op deal to save 50 cents a gallon, maybe. She could save a little by buying it in 5 gallon pails, which is what I did. But she couldn't use it all so she got the other therapists in town to share. She has a loaded Virgo 12th house. Time to bring in new contacts, for sure.

she's not young, not inexperienced. i just responded extra strongly to that object...and i believe her that my body asked for it, given the feeling. so it wasn't too much, just a lot.

Hi everyone! Amoroso-thanks for this wonderful thread...it gave a new, immensily rewarding insight into my natal chart, and, I think, solved a great dilemma that I had about it... Reserved, with a very ironic and cold-defensive response to everything that is hollow, exhuberant, prepotent and showing off, and yet fighting with ardor to defend those threatened, weak and poor I have hardly ever seen myself as a gemini (with all due respect to gemini liveliness, honesty and deep need for knowledge)... ..My Pluto conjuncts my midheaven and vesta..and what a surprise lol..Pele is there also!! It conjuncts my Vesta by 0 degrees (two strong sisters united...the sacred flame of the first meeting the passionate fire of the other..what a fireworks lol) and Pluto and MC by 2 degrees... Everyone always said to me that I am hard to approach, very defensive in the moment I felt anyone wanted to enter my life, and share my inner "home" and yet very warm and kind when felt loved and appreciated.. I definitely put it to that strong conjunction on my MC and say that the core of my character is shaped by those energies.. If anyone has their opinions about it, all views are warmly welcomed... Now I'm going to paste something I've copied from a site on internet about Pele...I hope you'll like it.. Pele Born of the heat of the Earth, the Goddess Pele is like the fire and volcanos that she rules over. Fire can cook for us and warm us, or it can destroy all that we hold dear. A volcanic mountain can be a beautiful breath-taking scene, or it can be a horror when it erupts and strands of Pele’s hair flow down from it, destroying everything in their path. The Hawaiian Goddess Pele is both beloved and feared. True to her opposite nature, Pele is usually described appearing in the form of a beautiful young woman or as a haggardly old woman. Many tales are told of Pele in her tempest form, seducing human men. Pele’s greatest conquest was the Prince Lohiau, of the island Kauai. Not knowing that she was a Goddess, Lohiau fell in love with Pele and asked her to marry him. Since she loved him also, they were wed. Shortly after their marriage, Pele had to return to her home in Mount Kilauea, but she promised to return quickly. Sadly, Pele was gone a very long time, and thinking that she had left him, Lohiau died of a broken heart. Other endings to this myth say that Pele sent her sister Hi’iaka, Goddess of the Sea, to fetch the prince and Hi’iaka and Lohiau took a very long time returning to Pele. As Pele waited for her sister and her lover, she grew suspicious of them and tried to kill them both. Lohiau was killed, but Hi’iaka returned his spirit to his body. Other Myths are told of Pele wandering up to people in the form of an old beggar woman, asking them if they have any food or drink to spare. Those who share with her are rewarded and spared. Those who are greedy and unkind to her are punished by having their homes or crops destroyed, so that they themselves may have to rely on the kindness of others. Pele is often depicted as a wanderer, constantly traveling her domain. Sightings of Pele have been reported all over the islands of Hawaii for hundreds of years, but especially near craters and her home, Mount Kilauea, one of the most active volcanos on Earth Volcano Goddess sightings are not just restricted to Hawaii, all over the world people have reported seeing an apparition of a woman in the eruptions of volcanos.
Pele’s most notorious legend is the curse she puts on anyone disturbing or stealing from her home. Some people say that this myth was made up by a bus driver, trying to keep tourists to Mount Kilauea from taking souvenirs from the sacred site. Still, each year thousands of pieces of lava rock are mailed back to Hawaii by people all over the world who claim to have had horrible misfortunes since taking the rocks from Pele’s home.Best wishes and my love to all

I wanted to wake up this great thread again because Pele has decided to reintroduce herself to me - I'd found her place in my chart about a year ago, and I'd read this thread, but hadn't taken it any further. Because I now realise, it frightened me. I'm now in a place where I want deal with her energy, with forces erupting from where they've been hidden. It's very Plutonic - having an 8th house Pluto transit I can see why she's back! (I checked the position of transiting Pele just to see why she's back with me - at 4 Virgo, she's in my 5th, locked between transiting Saturn and my natal Pluto at 8 Virgo. So there's the answer!) Walls I've put up are being torn down at an alarming rate but it's all part of what needs to happen.
I have:
Eros 7.10 Gemini Asc 7.41 Gemini Mercury 13.37 Gemini Pele 14.38 Gemini Pan 16.22 Gemini
No wonder I've been so scared of my words getting me into trouble! But what a creative force there is too, with all those energies swirling around. Using one of Kim's images I'm trying to imagine them all sharing an apartment - Eros, Mercury, Pan and Pele - all locked in together, all trying to talk at once. And having a party. Whoopee, that would be some gathering and I'd love to overhear those conversations, assuming you could separate out the voices (Saturn's trining it all from the 10th, tut-tutting from the upstairs flat to keep the noise down and would you PLEASE watch your language - to be met with a chorus of "shut up you miserable crusty old ***)
That's given me a great idea - write up the conversation as a way to really get into all those very powerful energies in such a small space, all in the sign of communication. None of them are going to keep quiet in Gemini, but they have to learn to respect each other's way of communicating and somehow coexist together. I keep reminding myself that this is how I come across to people. Awareness is the first step to working that one out!
A wonderful British actor, Edith Evans, once said when asked how she could play so many different roles "I don't know. I just seem to have a lot of people inside me". I can't find a better quote for this first house of mine!
Last week's New Moon was on 13.34 Gemini, and Mercury is stationing there before turning direct again. I've been in email touch with Tom Jacobs following up my Lilith report from him (extraordinary) and mentioned about how many insights I'm getting, and how fast they are coming. Tom's view is that Mercury stationing here is responsible for that - I had to share it!
PS Unforgiveable, I hadn't invited Aphrodite, Anteros and Bacchus, who also live there so I've added them to the guest list: A party without Bacchus? I don't think so! He wouldn't think so either. Aphrodite is 5.53 Gemini and (this spooks me a bit) Anteros 26.56 Gemini, and Bacchus 26.56 Gemini. Not sure about those two in the same room.
Aphrodite, like Eros, is strictly next door in the 12th, but like him she doesn't recognise boundaries and is always popping in on the pretext of borrowing sugar. She wouldn't miss a party with this turnout ...
