Ahhhhh Samos! I think I'm in love with the place. I 'll have to look at my astro*carto* Graphy and see what's going on! Yes, thank you Sami for sharing this with us. It's quite moving to me. And I think the matriarchal outcome of your new family name is quite significant! Very interesting approach. How long were you married? Gem, that is a solid earthy Juno you have, strong in the 7th! Is she anywhere near transiting Sedna right now? 19 Taurus? Just curious. Kim

OMGoddess! I just did my relocation chart for Samos and my Jupiter/Venus is exact on the Descendant and Neptune is exact on the MC. Yes, this is LOVE!!! And my sun is in the 5th there! Moon in the 2nd. I bet I could write up a storm on that Island and actually make some money at it!! Wow!

Hey Kim.....Yes, I think you are IN LOVE!! Isn't Samos better than a dream?? Just magical....maybe you will squeeze a long visit in sometime...and find your fortune with it's energy! Write on...... RE-My earthy Juno....it is located at 29 Taurus....I love it in Taurus yet freak out when I read the information on Algol .....oh dear! I do not let it bother me though-my Taurus 7th house is a good one! Sedna is not near my Juno yet...will hit Venus at 23 Taurus first!! Perhaps now that Samos is on your radar....spending some time during a Uni Break might be in order for you? Hugs- GemStar

Gem, a Taurus Juno in the 7th sounds very solid, peace-loving, and comfy! I love how that sounds! I have done zero reading on Sedna, tho... I guess it's about time to check that out. I know Kim's got some writing on the subject. So much to study, so little time! I second Gem's suggestion about a little Samos vacay, Kim! I really do see you there, very strongly. Perhaps you'll visit and feel that you've spent time there in another life. One of Pythagoras's students or friends, perhaps??? I don't know if I'm going again this summer -- I hope! -- but I'll let you know if I do! It would be fun to connect! Kim, to cast a relocation chart, do you use the same birth time for the original location but enter coordinates for the new location?? I never looked at my relocation chart for Samos & I'd like to! With Jupiter/Venus on the Descendant, and a 5th house Sun, and the sensuality of a 2nd house moon, I get the feeling that you'd be doing more than just *writing* up a storm on Samos! LOL There is such an erotic power in the air there. Truly. And the air actually has a very strong distinctive smell to it -- one notices it immediately upon disembarking from the plane: the smell of sun-baked herbs rising off the white-hot mountainside coupled with the earthy smell of figs (you can't imagine how big the fig bushes grow there!). At night, the air changes to jasmine and rose, blown about by strong winds that have come up from North Africa. There is so much there to stimulate the senses and inspire the soul... I think your MC Neptune would have you swooning! samina

Ahhhh...SAMOS, TAKE ME AWAY!!!! Sami-Your description of the island is divine!! Wow-just like I imagined....the smell of figs....herbs....always love the jasmine at night.....very enchanting I must say! Psssst-I haven't looked at Sedna either! Aware-yes, knowledgable-no... ;D We must check it out...this Gem doesn't like not being 'in the know'!! And now, we are 'in the know' about the gorgeous land of Samos-Thanks to you!! PS-And yes, Taurean Juno loves being in 7th for me...solid and committed!! Venus a few degrees away also makes it 'all about the love' when it comes to my relationships....friends too!! Hugs- GemStar

Oh thank you both for the suggestion of a holiday. It is a wonderful idea to dream about! Now the intention is there... Sami, Relocation doesn't use the same clock time but the same universal time....In Santa Cruz, where I was born, it was 12:36 PM and that translates to 7:36 PM in Samos. These two times represent the SAME moment in time at two different global locations. You can see your relocation graphics for anywhere in the world by going to Astrodent and clicking on their free service--I think it is called 'Astral-travel"...or Here it is…on the main page, click "more free horoscopes" then click on "astro-click-travel" and you will find out how to map the world with your chart and see what places on the planet bring different bodies to the angles ect. Obviously you will have a different experience with Pluto on the Descendant than if Venus is there! I have wondered why we've never had an Astro*carto*Graphy* thread (that is what this relocation work was named by the astrologer that really got it going—Jim Lewis—he was very bright, a clear speaker and wonderful teacher!. Feel free to start a thread on this topic, maybe in the General Board, if you are interested!! MMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm I did think I might do more than just 'write up a storm' on Samos! It's good to dream! Thank you!!! Kim

Ahhhh....Kim, looking into the "CULTURAL" advantages of Samos...I am sure there are quite a plethora of choices....dark, smoldering....olive in color....sensual and romantic in nature.... Hey Sami-maybe we need an authentic description to whet Kim's appetite further! You did such a fine job on the air quality of the scentful breeze on Samos....now we would really appreciate a brief description of it's local inhabitants.....or we can simply dream up a few!! Also Kim-have you found that Astro*carto*Graphy is truly worthwhile? I have not done much with it and know that it is supposed to be used for Solar Return charts...some people even find their BDay vacation using it! (Sorry this is off-topic...now back to the isle of Samos!!) Hugs- GemStar

LOL, Gem... I have to admit, Juno's lovely birthplace is not to my taste, in general, with respect to men. There are, admittedly, some handsome men coming out of that gene pool, but for some inexplicable reason, it takes a swim across the channel to *Turkey* for me to fine swoon-worthy men! LOL HOWEVER... there are yachts that dock in Pythagoreon, from all over the world, bringing a PLETHORA of tourists & travellers from exotic regions to that little cobble-stoned harbour. Not to mention, half of Scandinavia empties out into the Greek islands every summer. The best odds are that our dear Kim might hook up with a visitor not from the area... and what a beautiful playground they would find themselves in! Kim, that Astro-Travel feature is very cool! Turns out I've got the Sun & Moon's Node on the DC, with Mars crossing Pluto, Chiron, and Uranus there, and Venus crossing Uranus. I don't know about any house placements, tho. I do have an Astro Cartography chart in my files... I've have to look that up and see if it says anything more! My trips to Samos have definitely involved from very intense family dramas -- healing power issues in my bloodline and breaking away to be true to myself in the face of very strong familial constraints. Those crossing latitudes would definitely point to that. I clicked all over that map & discovered that the happiest places for me seem to be in the northern latitudes, most of all Finland & St. Petersburg, Russia! Okay... now where's my passport! LOL Ok, I'm going to take this thread back to its original theme now, because on Friday night, just after you asked if anything was hitting my Scorpio Juno, I went out with a long-time friend of mine... and the romantic sparks started flying to cosmic heights! We've known each other for 4-5 years, and have a great connection & a lot in common, but I was either "dormant" for most of that time, relationship-wise, or -- in the last year -- in the process of coming out of that phase. So we never connected romantically. But I had a sense that when I was ready for something real, this gentleman would be able to really touch me deeply. And that's how I started to feel Friday night. He was sending the energy back, but he hasn't shown me any inclination to actually move it into a new direction. But I'm blown away by how receptive I was to him -- I mean, we were talking about what it would take to sweep me off my feet & get me to commit? This guy's energy has it, in spades. So, I went to his chart (we actually met when he came to me for a reading!!!!), and found that his Saturn is EXACTLY on my Juno... smack in between my Netune & Moon. And his Scorpio Moon is on my Neptune. And his Scorpio Juno is conjunct mine, at 18Scorpio, which of course is currently being kissed by Jupiter. Which means his Juno also exactly trines my Chiron and conjuncts my Neptune. The way I feel his Saturn there feels like SECURITY... that I can *trust* this man to sweep me away, that I can let go with all my Neptunian, Plutonian wateriness, and he can contain it. That's my gut feeling about him. And interestingly, my Neptune-Juno-Moon sit at the very base of his chart, and my own Jupiter sits exactly on his MC. The picture that comes to me is of Zeus & Hera, Jupiter & Juno, that larger-than-life partnership. That's how we certainly felt the other night. And several people who saw us commented what a complementary couple we made. I felt like I was sitting with the sun itself, and I was completely blinded to anyone around me. It was the best evening I've had in a very, very long while... I don't know what will come next. But the synchronicity to our discussion here really struck me & I had to share this! On the heels of that I connect with a man who makes me weak in the knees...? What a coincidence. sami

What? Really? That IS amazing synchronicity because you were just saying...on the day after the eclipse? t would be interesting to see what synastry aspects would trigger my juno to surrender to commitment... i'll keep an eye out! LOLWhen was this DATE? Oh Oh… I know what’s done it! It’s Samos! You said the energy there really intoxicates you, always has, and we evoked that energy big time and now WOW! An old client, is he? And a friend! Do you see this massive 180 that’s just happened? One step at a time, but I have to ask, “Did you kiss?” Kim ps...those Saturn contacts CAN take their time to ignite!

NO, no kiss! <aargh> His Mars in Taurus (on my Taurus Jupiter) is slower out of the gate than my Mars in Gemini. LOL But yes, I'm blown away by the synchronicity as well! Date time: Friday night, 3/31, 9:10pm EST, NJ. Jupiter was on the ASC, Moon opposing in Taurus on the DSC. Yum. He came walking through the door looking like Christmas and a cage of butterflies went off in my tum. I think you're right on about having invoked the Samos energy! But he's not a man to rush into things. And he's very dignified & old-fashioned on one level. Think "kingly". The first time he walked through my door years ago I thought he seemed like a mythic god figure from an old greek story, or a warm-hearted king right off the King of Wands card. (He has Leo rising with Pluto in Leo tightly conjunct, exactly opposing Merc in Aquarius on the DSC -- he's very much a trusted, insightful advisor & mentor to many people.) What he chooses to do next, I don't know. He might patiently drag this out for a long time, and I don't want to torture myself. Yep -- we started out as a professional relationship: he came for a life reading (astrology & cartomancy), and then kept coming on a weekly basis for life coaching, for insight, for someone to talk to about his life & to help him put things into new perspectives. We would talk for hours before & after our sessions, tho... we had a very strong, mutual personal connection from the start. Then I stopped taking money from him and we started bartering, because as a general contractor he could help me out with a lot of things I needed myself. And then we just sequed into full on friendship. We can talk for hours, usually over a bottle of wine or champage, and there is nothing I can't say to him. We've seen each other very intermittently in the past year, which has worked out because I've gone through this huge transformation. Which he really got to see for the first time on Friday night, and I know it really struck him. OMGoddess... I just remembered something. He took me out last July, just before I went to Samos for the rest of the summer, and I actually invited him to come for a visit there and he wanted to, was considering it! He was in love with the energy of the place! But he was too busy at the time (had finished building a house & was getting ready to move in). I've *never* invited a friend to come stay with me there... Well, *I* feel the massive 180 here, but it remains to be seen how *he* experiences it. His Saturn contacts are bound to feel slooooow to me at times... this being one of them! LOL But it's amazing how spoken words have the power to create, huh? samina

Kim, look at all these relationship transits happening simultaneously right now in my chart:
--Pluto opp Venu, exact. --Juno conj. NN, exact. (approaching MC, vibing in that natal Sun/Venus/Merc energy) --Uranus opp sun/moon midpoint, exact. (or, could this be considered conjunct because it's a polar axis?) --Venus trine Venus, Sun, and NN -- all exact, in sequence, this week. --Mars conj Venus, exact on Saturday. --Eros on DCS, exact this weekend. --NN on DCS --Sun on 7th-house Vertex this weekend --and Venus conj Saturn in 5th, exact early next week. --not to mention Jupiter bouncing over my Moon/Juno/Neptune/Jupiter placements.
I didn't realize Juno was on my NN... I wish when I started learning about astrology that I'd known about the power of these asteroids. I just never knew, and am so amazed!

Sami ... How about organizing a Juno Tour of Samos for all of your astro-friends?? ... Just imagine what would happen if so many Goddesses (and Gods!) arrived on the island at the same time! jamma P.S. Nice to find out the source of your name ... all this while I thought it was Animas (many souls?) spelled backward!

oooooo, jamma... i like your "animas" notion! makes me think of alchemy for some reason... the spirit that animates matter, transforming frequency and therefore transforming matter. niiice. and your idea about a juno tour... very cool! i wonder what of an overtly juno nature exists on the island -- there's the temple, and probably some stuff in the local museums. but i wonder if there are places there that are also tied to mythic stories -- wouldn't that be something? to take a dip in a pool or climb to a hilltop that correlates with a specific myth? i think you've had a brilliant idea and i'm going to look into it! anybody interested in such a tour??? i promise that the ouzo, retsina and moschato wine (reportedly the nectar of the gods, which i've been drinking since childhood -- THAT must be the source of my juno intoxication!!! LOL) will flow abundantly! sam

Sami -- Count me in! ... Would LOVE a dip in a sacred pool ... or just a swim on that beach! ... maybe a little syrtos, too? ... I used to love Greek dancing ... I feel at home on islands, too ... lived on Maui for a few years ... Now I live on an arm of the San Francisco Bay, but it's not the ocean, so it feels a little "land-locked" ... I crave waves ... jam
