Hi all
This is my first post and wasn't sure if I should start a new thread for this one or put it in the Progression threads...
I have been studying astrology since May 2008, so I know bits and pieces and have been trying to put them all together. I was inspired to study from an encounter and the logical part of my brain needed to understand why this connection is so profound on both parties. When we met we were living on different sides of the country and since then the universe keeps pulling us back together, even with both of us resisting the pull.
Ok, I'm curious with the use of Converse Charts with Natal and Progressed Charts as timers. Also, can Venus and Mercury be used as timers too because of their speed compared to the other planets?
*If some of you don't know what a converse chart is it is set up just like a progressed chart (1 day = a year) but it goes backwards.
The reason why I am asking this is when I look at his and mine charts together and we both have Jupiter and Mercury in retro and both of them are trine (his in Water, mine is Fire), it made me think of an egg timer. LOL Don't ask me why. If you use our moon's opposition as an axis both Jupiter/Merc trine's mirror the other. (it's the angle wing looking aspect) Plus, I thought it was interesting that my Venus was conj to his Merc and his Neptune was conj to my Merc (since Neptune is the upper octave Venus and both Venus and Neptune are huge players in each of our charts)... making me even more compelled to this the Merc/Venus/Jupiter/(maybe Neptune) thing was a timer.
Here is our chart ... just ignore the oppositions/conjunctions with the asteroids, it's enough to make an Astro beginner's head pop off!

Ok, so what I am getting to is that when we met, in May 2007, his Progressed Merc was back to his natal position and my Conversed Venus was back to natal position, conjuncted once again, and now are traveling together. And in a couple years my Conversed Merc is going to be conj to his Progressed Neptune... which my Mercury will be at the natal position, also his Progressed Venus will be a part of this conj. Plus.. both of our progressed Venus' will be conjunct.
Here is the Prog/Conv Chart. It is set up for Nov 2007. I didn't know how to get the Conv Chart back to May 2007. But it's enough to get the idea of what is going on.

If this is a timer type thing, for the up-coming conjunction should I use my his Venus or Neptune with my Merc?
I would never of though about using a converse chart until I saw the Venus/Merc conj happening when we met, with that conj being one of four planet conj's we have together.
Thanks for any help and if anybody would like to make comments about the asteroids, I'll welcome any comments with those also...ughh! I'm just ready to get out of my head. Once I make up my mind to walk away from looking at our charts, trying to resist the pull of all this, new info is thrown at me which keeps me tied to it. Thanks!
