Hello everyone,
Sorry about my long absence, but things have gone from hopeful to tragic. But never mind, I have learned something, although probably a bit too late for this chart.
History: My cat, Enigma, who has been with me for more than 17 years had fallen ill, and because of "pesimistic" advise on the telephone concerning her age and no hope of treatment we watched helplessly as things ran their course. She eventually died, and rather suddenly, possibly minimal suffering, (unlike the deaths of many humans I have known in hosptials) she was with all of us she knew and loved (warm in front of the fire place as well).
This chart is a good lesson in understanding why they usually say that we should avoid making judgement on a chart with Saturn ruling the 7th house.
First the same rules apply to any chart; what is this question about, it is about the health of my pet; if you notice something the about the discription of the pet, it should fit, actually quite well in fact. Sagitarius rules the 6th house of "pets"; her ruler in the 12th, Venus (I note that Venus is the 5th house ruler) and Pluto in her first; Jupiter is about to conjunct the vertex as well: This discription is not "hopeless" sounding. It seems to be accurate as we tend to blur the line between "child" and "beloved pet". But the question is not exactly only about my pet but "the health of my pet" in the question, "will she recover?".
Her 6th house is ruled by Mars; Moon, the ruler of the chart ASC is in HER 6th house- It is about to square Uranus; it is also about to be in opposition to the Sun. Mars is the ruler of HER 6th house, it is in Scorpio, a strong sign, but then I later note the degree, almost critical.
But then what do we say about this problem, or delay in interpretation of "positive" health? Well It seems that the 7th house doesn't only have rulership over partners and "enimies" but in fact it is the "advice of anyone we ask professionally" wether that be a person we simply talk to on the telephone or wether that be a lawyer. Thinking that Saturn in the 3rd could not be a serious problem and noting this new concept only far too late, I noted (only later) that Saturn was about to complete a square to Mercury in Scorpio in the 5th, moving into conjunction with Mars in Scorpio.
The advice I recieved could easily had delayed my action, as we, my husband and I , were quite certain that the way they were talking, we couldn't expect any treatment other than "death" for the cat. Had be been given more "positive" advice, maybe we would have acted sooner. Thus the Saturn in the 3rd house as ruler of the 7th would sound, rather pessimistic. There is also another factor to it all; had I interpreted this chart in this way (in time) maybe I could have done something to influence the thinking at work there, so once again, Saturn and delay. Saturn and pessimistic advice.
The part of sickness is on the 25 degree of Cancer, only two degrees away from the ASC. I also noted that this is Enigma's 8th house; and finally the Part of Death conjunct the NN in the 10th, the cat's 5th.
Finally if I used the day time formula for the Part of Fortune, (not shown) it lands in the 6th house.
With so many positive atributes to the 6th house, the cats ruler and other factors, how could she die? It comes back to Mars, Mars although strong, is at an almost critical degree; if Mercury came to the rescue before it had been hindered by Saturn's movement (a square) perhaps action on the advice given would have been much faster.
Maybe I don't have all the pieces to this equation and have focused upon just the "hindering aspects" (which could have easily worked "in favour" of a good result) but this chart shows there was a time factor. The Moon was HER 8th house ruler, and it was about to go Square to Uranus, my 8th house ruler in this chart (me asking the question); it seems to sugest something; both in a definately strong association to each other.
We may come to the conclusion that her death seemed to be good, and that we loved her and we cling to the thought of her because we wish for more time. We learned that maybe it may have been her time to go, but I can't help but wonder, with everything so fresh in my mind, if I could not have done at least SOMETHING to keep her here. That's not really something the chart says; it says she was a beautiful and loving pet though.
Thanks for your time,
