In the composite between my ex-boyfriend and I,
there is psyche conjunct the sun and mercury in
capricorn and juno conjunct saturn and jupiter in libra.
Any ideas on what these two mean?

Hi Iana,
Is the Sa/Ju/Juno in Libra with in 10 degrees of a square aspect to the Su/Me/Psyche in Capricorn? It will make a difference if they act together or not. What houses in the Composite are they in?
Interesting question. Kim

Hi Kim,
Thanks for replying. Yes, the capricorn planets are
square the libra planets. I don't know the composite
houses, though, because I don't know his birth time.

Hi Iana,
Let’s look first at the Psyche/Su/Me conjunction in Capricorn. No matter what house it is in, the Sun in the composite chart is about the PURPOSE of the relationship. Here it feels like there is an earthy drive and ambition (Capricorn) that needs to develop a practical way of communicating(Mercury). All kinds of commerce comes to mind and creative projects that have a pragmatic side (like developing funding for artistic endeavors or providing a kind of networking service between artists, teachers and the public. The range of possibilities is limitless; the point being that when you are together it feels like you need to bring some kind of creative idea in to practical fruition. The relationship itself needs a kind of public recognition!
Psyche there implies you may be extremely aware of social needs, like an intuitive knowing. When you work together towards solar goals, you get the gist of what is going on under the surface. You may be perceived as a psychically bonded couple by others, known to communicate in subtle, almost telepathic, ways.
If the conjunction is wide, it may take some years of being together for these undercurrents to surface.
Because they are square to Juno/Ju/Saturn, there is a “fracture” in the seam of the solar purpose. There could be a clash between what you want to create together and what your families or culture supports. Instead of working together towards common goals, there could be a competitive feel—it’s like you are watching each other all the time, or being watched. What will they do next?
Juno wants commitment and Saturn/Jupiter form a tug-o-war between social standards and traditional laws and the freedom of new horizons. Together you need to explore the unknown, yet something puts the breaks on, makes it difficult, challenging, out of bounds. Issues of fear, shame and guilt can surface no matter how you proceed.
It doesn’t mean it is and “impossible” relationship; It does imply some hard work and adjustment is necessary. It would be amplified if one of you had a predominate Jupiter, Fire/Air emphasis and the other a strong Saturn/earth side. Then the actual qualities of the composite might polarize in the two of you creating separation instead of unity.
Does that make any sense?
Thanks for jumping into the forum. Do you know what kind of transits were happening when you two met? Split up?
Warm wishes, Kim

Hi Kim,
A lot of what you said sounds like the relationship. It was a very public relationship (in school), and we did have a psychic type of bond. At least I felt the psychic part. There were a lot of obstacles to the relationship due to how we got along and just everybody being in our business. We were being watched by everybody. I couldn't deal with that. It seemed like he reveled in it, though. When I didn't want the relationship, I became the social outcast. It was like him, the relationship, and everybody else against me!
As far as transits are concerned, there were a lot of them! When it started, for ME: -transiting saturn, transiting south node conjunct venus -jupiter square venus -transiting pluto square sun/moon midpoint with progressed descendant -transiting uranus and neptune square progressed venus HIM: -transiting pluto conjunct natal uranus, progressed sun, progressed mercury, progressed venus -transiting jupiter conjunct mars and south node -transiting uranus and neptune square natal saturn, natal pluto, converse sun, converse venus WHEN WE PARTED - transiting uranus was on my descendant with the transiting south node square his natal sun, mercury, venus, and jupiter -transiting saturn was conjunct my progressed venus and opposite his natal saturn, natal pluto, converse sun, converse venus
I hope you can read all of that without eye strain!

Hello Iana,
Yes, this is the kind of “public pressure” than can coincide with that composite Sun in Capricorn squared by Saturn/Jupiter. I can see that all those transits at the beginning really stirred things up.
Transiting Uranus on the Descendent suggests the need to break free of limiting or restricting commitments. T. Saturn to P. Venus probably gave you a lot of time (Saturn) to dwell on what you value in relationship (Venus).
Thanks for sharing this interesting composite contact. Anyone else have a composite Sun/Sat or Sun in Capricorn to share?
Warmly, Kim
