Dear Kim et all,
Can't wait to hear Kim's take on this asteroid as I know it's meaning is very important to her!
Horus was the child of Isis and Osiris, and in astrology I think it must have something to do with what must express to be our most happy, centered and unselfconscious selves.
I took a look at Horus in the charts of my closest Friends and family, and it seems like his placement in each case, (including my own at 0 Pisces in the 4th) is a manner of being that just "has always been" in these people. A thrust of personality that is always present and needed, no matter how many years go by or what that person is doing.
I wonder what Horus means in the composite chart? Haven't gotten that far yet.
Blessings, Amoroso

Horus is the 'light bearer', often depicted with the Sun above his head (when in Falcon form) or as a man with a Falcon head. He has the sun in one eye and the moon in the other. As a sky god, he rules the day, consciousness, flight above the hard terrain, bringer of light, inspiration, protection, strength, intuitive insight and warnings. He has many forms including Re-Harakhti, Harsiesis, Haroeris, Harendotes, Khenti-irti, Khentekhtay (the crocodile-god), and Harmakhis, which is Horus on the horizons, in which the Sphinx of Giza. All are part of his ‘aspects’ and he can be represented by not only a falcon but the winged disk, the horned bull, the double crown and the Sphinx. He is sometimes seen as the son of Re, the Sun itself. The Pharaoh was the embodiment of Horus on earth…as light bearer, he needs someone to ‘bear’ him. Evoking this deity brings him, his light and his strength, to life (perhaps in the area of life described by his position in the chart?) He has many wives and offspring—his 4 first sons are guardians of the 4 cardinal points. Who has Horus conjunct a planet or angle? Shall we start with that? Or what house/Sign is he in? Amoroso, 0 Pisces in the 4th says something about ‘lighting up’ your spiritual life. What have you inherited from your ancestors and family? Is that authentic for you? Blind faith verses personal spiritual journeys of exploration. I love this god! Kim

You know, there are always two things I can count on for sure here on this forum...Amoroso coming up with many new and interesting asteroids to examine and Kim F. following up with intriguing descriptions of mythology and influences on the named asteroid!! Thank you!! I took a look at Horus and in my chart it landed in Scorpio 26 in my first house. It is 10 degrees from my ASC and 7 from my n. Neptune but actually, it sits one and a half degrees conjunct my South Node 24' 55....Hmmm....how about this....Trine Cancer 26 Moon in my 9th! So would Horus then further 'light up' my intensity of 1st house (identity)? What would that contribute to an already intense Scorp ASC? The Neptune (Scorp 19) in-between Horus and ASC maybe makes it more dreamy or spiritual...add in a trined Moon in 9th....would that then correlate to 'spiritual insights/philosophy emotionally conveyed with minimal effort' which light up the face I show the world? Have I fallen off the page on a tangent too far?? I am intensely curious about this Horus #1924!! Am I 'Hot, warm or iceberg cold'?? Thanks- Hugs- GemStar

I have it at 8:4 Gemini in 5th. It conjuncts my Sun, Mars and Venus in declination. No major aspects other than that. I have no idea what it could mean.

Hello, Natally, I have Horus in the 10th in Libra (themes of Libra "light me up" in a way obvious to the public), sextile AC (compatible with my every day persona), trine Venus (works well with how I attract and what attracts me), square Sun (some tension with my ego), Quintile Neptune (special connection to the realm of fantasy/spirituality), inconjunct Chiron (either bonding with or sharing total lack of understanding with wound or method of healing). So, regarding synastry and this aspect, my Horus trines his Mars (what "lights me up" blends and even attracts what he finds sexually stimulating). And in a very strange event, our Horus's jointly conjunct each other's Uranus's in the 12 houses. So... We suddenly, erratically and in "spark like" manner "light up" each others "light up" button... in either a troubling/subversive fashion or instinctive/intuitive fashion). My take. Hope this helps with the research on Horus.

mine's at 2 libra in the 12th. conjunct pluto in libra/12th. with pluto, conjunct venus/pallas in libra/12th and libra ascendant. square jupiter in capricorn/3rd and sextile neptune-mercury-moon in sagittarius/2nd-3rd.
i do see part of my "job" here as bringing the unconscious to the conscious...but finding gentle ways to show as much about what's hidden as possible, so we can live in more informed ways. getting to the bottom of things and revealing truths and undercurrents makes me happier than anything. (also a scorpio sun here...)

Tom, Thanks for that. You touch on something quite important. "Doing" Horus, expressing through the sign, house and aspect placement in authentic ways, makes us feel happy! I liken it to Fortuna...a sense of joy and fulfilment. Thank you. Kim

Hej Amoroso, Kim and everyone! Sorry to come so late to this, as I have been doing research in that direction, I too have looked this one up a while ago in fact.. I found that Horus (1924) is at 15 degrees Gemini in my chart in the 12th house- although not a huge factor, Isis, (42) is quite close behind at 21 degrees Gemini, also in the 12th house (conjunct my chart ruler Mercury at 23 degrees Gemini also in the 12th house) The idea of Horus having many forms is very appealing, I guess its a Gemini vibe being a virtual chameleon of the Gods. I especially relate to the watcher, Horus the observer... and the great Sphinx..(Sphinx is number 896 and happens to be in my first house at 4 degrees Cancer and conjunct Mars but also in aspect to Urania also in the first house at 1 degree Cancer relating to the sky and astronomical things) I feel that these asteroids, although not in much aspect to Horus, have much to do with some of the energies of Horus.. leading back to the aspect of Horus which seeks justice, the great eye of Horus... which was often pictured as just an eye in the sky.. I feel that Horus has many facets...Just as Isis unified peices of Osiris, Horus brought to justice those who ripped his father apart... I guess will see him as a "god of justice" more than anything else... Some Liken Osiris, Horus' father to Dionysus... to have gone through death and be brought back to life.. I guess upon learning that Some even say that Osiris IS Dionysus, I looked it up and found out that My own Osiris and Dionysus are in fact in conjunction at 13 degrees Taurus in my 11th house. Just some thoughts.. Thanks for starting this thread Amoroso . svenskasfinx

I thought the most important aspect my Horus makes is conjuncting my IC. Third House. It's amazing because recently I have just been getting into meditation and finding inner peace and happiness, and find this works astonishingly well when I'm home alone, (IC themes) yet not so well with others around-- in spite of the fact that I have a lot of 11th house planets and am quite sociable
