Something about the dance image in describing the Chiron to Chiron contacts seems important, and the Tango is appropiate, because it is a dance that invokes sensuality, sexuality, issues of leadership, power and even anger.
So I looked up the Terpsichord contacts (Muse of Dance) and almost fell over. First of all I think the Muse of Dance symbolizes all rhythmic movement or expression, that which is connected to the Life's pulses which course through our bodies like heartbeats, breezes, rain drops. It can be a small child playing "skip to my Lou" or the beauty of the Alvine Ailey Dance Company, or putting on music and jiggling across the kitchen while doing dishes.
My Terpsichord (and Mr. Pan) are conjunct his Chiron at my DC and inconjunct his Eros/Neptune. His Terpsicord trines my Pluto/Jupiter and semi-sextiles my Eros. Eros has changed, is changing our inner rythmns, inner structure, which relates back to the Saturn (skeleton) /Chiron (body) contacts.
The asteroids really do support the larger picture. I think I may be uncovering why looking at the Muses in astrology has been too painful to face until recently.
I also compared Saturn/Chrion and Terpsichord in synastry with my husband. Here, again, those same Chiron/Saturn/Terpischord contacts. His Chiron is conjunct my IC and conjunct my Chiron/Eros. (We are about are the same age.) But I was thinking about Kim's writing that Chiron contacts to Eros often result in attractions of vastly different ages and backgrounds, and it does fit. He was born and grew up several continants from me, with a third world experience that was vastly different from my own growing up.
Kim, you need a chapter in your book about when Eros strikes when you are happily married and intend on staying that way! You are right--it's all about the iiner transformation and how you carry that out into the world.
